  • The Study of Ma'anil Hadith: A Contextual Analysis of The Meaning of
           Hadith on Women's Leadership

    • Authors: Imam Ahmadi
      Pages: 81 - 102
Abstract: This study examines the contradictions of the Hadith prohibiting women as leaders contextually which had become a hot debate among the ulama madhhab. Rooted in historical cultural roots, women are seen as inferior in their position under men's dignity. Women are believed to be a disgrace to the family because they are physically weak on the battlefield and are enslaved as biological satisfactions for their husbands. Although women in the era of jahiliyyah society have eroded their rights, now in the era of Muslim society women are recognized for their rights and are held in high esteem as mothers. Some evidence of gender equality in Islam is in the arguments stated by the Prophet Muhammad in the hadith and the word of God in the Qur'an. This discourse was studied using the library research method with a literature study approach model. The purpose of this study is to explain the relationship between matan hadith and culture and to give meaning to the hadith of women's leadership from a cultural perspective. The scope revolves around the hadith of women's leadership with the boundaries of the present and past cultural customs of society. This study resulted: (a) Traditionally, women play a more important role in protecting the family, both husband and children, (b) The hadith prohibiting women's leadership has an asbab al-wurud side which is not sufficiently understood in text because in context women still have the right of authority as leaders.

  • A Referential Interpretation al-Jaryī wa al-Inṭibāq: Approach (Tafsīr
Taṭbīqī) for Digging The Inner Meaning of al-Qur'an.

    • Authors: Kerwanto Kerwanto
      Pages: 103 - 130
Abstract: Some important criteria that must be considered by the commentator in determining the inner (esoteric) meaning of the Qur'an are that it must not conflict with the literal text, mutawatir hadiths and important religious principles (dharuriyāt ad-dīn). Once the requirements that must be met in the interpretation are so strict, not a few products of isyari interpretation (Sufi interpretation) are considered deviant and trapped in tafsir bi al-ra’yī al-madzmum (despicable interpretation). Therefore, it is important to carry out several in-depth reviews of various approaches and rules of interpretation that can be used as a medium for revealing and explaining the inner meaning of the Qur'an.             In this article, the author tries to clarify the important position of the rule of al-jaryī wa al-Inṭibāq in the interpretation of the Qur'an, which is very likely in some cases not paid attention to by some commentators. For the author, this rule can be a bridge in determining the validity of the inner meaning of the Qur'an because the main element of this rule is the hadiths that are related to the context of the nuzūl verse. The main working principle of this rule is to try to apply certain references intended by the verses of the Qur'an to several different individuals at different times and places with the context of the initial nuzul of the verse. This rule seeks to find new meanings from the general concept of the verse which is abstracted from hadith data that is related to the context of its nuzul.

  • The Eco-Theology of The Lombok Community in The Tradition of Bau Nyale

    • Authors: Umi Hanik, Nur Khamidah
      Pages: 131 - 152
Abstract: The Bau Nyale tradition is an annual tradition of the Lombok people which has a high sacred value, because it respects the sacrifice of Princess Mandalika. Traditions that are full of sacredness need to be preserved so that there is no bias between the sacred and tourism. Bau Nyale has ecological and theological values for the people of Lombok; this value is interesting to study from a sociological, anthropological and religious perspective. The research is an integrative qualitative research with an ethnomethodological approach, as a way to know the culture of the community directly, the culture of the people here is not only a small community (the community around the Seger beach) but also does not rule out the possibility for a wider reach. The result of this research is that there is a correlation between Man, Nature and God in the Bau Nyale Tradition, this can be seen in the first form, namely the economy (humans), on the basis of awareness of the importance of economic needs that can be fulfilled by the number of visitors to Seger Beach and Mandalika Beach. which makes the Bau Nyale tradition still supported and exists to this day. The second is the environment. The Bau Nyale tradition is not only seen as a tradition of looking for sea worms, but has strong values that are not stated directly, namely preserving the environment on the coast. The divine basis is his view of the Bau Nyale tradition which is based on an understanding of divinity as the basis of habituation that humans cannot rain, arrange constellations, and produce nyale according to their wishes, except for the power of God.

           dan Relevansinya terhadap Pelaku Flexing

    • Authors: Abdulloh Labib
      Pages: 153 - 171
Abstract: This article aims to answer about the fate of Flexing perpetrators, which have recently been so prevalent on social media platforms that have received a lot of comments and criticism as a whole. This phoneme is caused by the lack of a deep understanding of religious knowledge, especially those related to Tahadduts bi al-Ni’mah. In this article, it is intended to describe the issue of flexing within the scope of the interpretation of the Qur'an, which will focus on the perspective of Quraish Shihab in the interpretation of al-Misbah. This study provides an understanding that the phenomenon of flexing Quraish Shihab's perspective is a negative act because it is considered irrelevant to Islamic religious rules when applied to people's social life.
