  • Explosive Isnad and Isnad Family: Thoughts of Mustafa Azami and Nabia

    • Authors: Muh. Iqbal, Jannatul Husna, Nurkholis Nurkholis
      Pages: 69 - 81
Abstract: Ismologists Nabia Abbott and Mustafa Azami specialize in the study of hadith. Many of their works refute orientalist claims that the Prophet's hadith was compiled by Companions and generations in the second and third centuries. The purpose of this research is to glance at Mustafa Azami's and Nabia Abbott's opinions on the Explosive Isnad and the Isnad Family, as well as how they compare to the views of classical hadith scholars. This study employs a literature review method. The findings show that most of Abbott and Azami's viewpoints are similar to those of hadith scholars, such as in the context of the increasing number of hadith narrations in each generation and the fact that the family isnad cannot be used as a criterion for determining the validity of a hadith. The difference is in Abbott's interpretation of the Sunnah.

  • Religious Practices among Muhammadiyah Citizens during the Covid-19

    • Authors: Rahmat Efendi, Nihayati Nihayati
      Pages: 82 - 90
Abstract: The purpose of this study is to describe how committed and loyal Muhammadiyah members are at the branch level to the PP Muhammadiyah's official statement about religious practices during the COVID-19 pandemic. Data was collected through observation, interviews, and documentation in this descriptive qualitative study. The findings of this study show that residents follow PP Muhammadiyah's edict not to practice religious agenda and to "close" mosques. Second, following the transition period, residents have returned to the mosque to worship as they did prior to the pandemic (without using health protocols). Third, large-scale agenda (such as tabligh akbar) have not yet been conducted, but small-scale agenda have been conducted face-to-face, rather than virtually.

  • Production in Islam: An Analysis for the Convection SMEs Development

    • Authors: Rahasia Taufiqi Al-Ayyubi, Richa Angkita Mulyawisdawati
      Pages: 91 - 105
Abstract: Islamic production is one of the production behavior solutions that can be used as a model for developing people's abilities and creativity while maximizing available resources. This study, carried out by Simpati Convection, Sidoarjo, aims to identify Islamic production factors according to Abdul Manan and Islamic production behavior according to Yusuf Qaradhawi. A phenomenological study is used in this qualitative research design. Simpati's convection business practice was found to be in line with Abdul Manan's concept in terms of production factors and Qaradhawi in terms of production behavior, according to the findings. This Islamic business process has gone through a long period of development, with usury funds being used as capital at the outset. In terms of production behavior, Simpati Convection is committed to the halal principle, strives for people's prosperity and independence, and believes in lifelong learning.

  • Social Reality Construction of Muhammadiyah Citizens in Respect of LAZISMU
           during the Covid-19 Pandemic

    • Authors: Radhiyatul Fithri, Baidarus Baidarus
      Pages: 106 - 120
Abstract: For the Indonesian people, LAZISMU, as an Islamic philanthropic institution, shapes the cultural character of zakat, infaq, and alms. Furthermore, following the outbreak of the covid-19 pandemic, the Muhammadiyah encouraged LAZISMU with raising funds for the program under the slogan "Together Against the Corona Virus." LAZISMU Riau and Pekanbaru city continue to strive to become professional zakat institutions with good governance as a place for distributing charity funds to the public and Persyarikatan members in particular. Muhammadiyah citizens' attitudes toward these two LAZISMUs, on the other hand, are not directly proportional to their engagement in LAZISMU's programs. Muhammadiyah citizens, in particular, believe that LAZISMU Pekanbaru City is a professional Amil Zakat Institution with good governance. The construction of this social reality, however, has not been able to increase their participation in tithing to LAZISMU. This is not the same case with LAZISMU Riau, which was known as an institution with poor governance. However, the ideological aspect is a factor that encourages Muhammadiyah citizens to participate in the LAZISMU program.

  • Chemical Bonds: An Integration with Islamic Brotherhood Values

    • Authors: Mega Legi Vela, Riky Setiawan, Metha Nur Kristanti, Tiyas Agustin, Anggita Ainur Rofiana, Anisa Nur Istiqomah, Annisa Dhaifa Salsabilla, Kustomo Kustomo, Novtavia Shintya Putri
      Pages: 121 - 133
Abstract: Individuals will reap enormous benefits from bonding. There are always positive aspects to take from a bond. Covalent, ionic, and metallic bonds are examples of chemical bonds. The main ideas raised in chemical bonds are strengthened by incorporating Islamic character values. The primary objective of this study was to examine all chemical bonds and incorporate them into human life, especially in accordance with Islamic brotherhood. The findings of this study reveal that each chemical bond, whether covalent, ionic, or metallic, has a meaning that is closely related to human relations as social beings in accordance with Islamic values, as revealed by a literature review. Humans as social beings are taught to always have good relations with fellow humans through covalent bonds, and through ionic bonds, they are taught to help, work together, and take care of one another. Metallic bonds, on the other hand, teach humans to share and be sincere.
