  • Using Audio-Visual Media to Improve The Religious Character of Children In
           Fathina Kindergarten, Majene Regency, Indonesia

      Abstract: At present, the learning conditions in instilling character in students at Fatinah Kindergarten are not maximized, so what happens to the students has not applied the expected character values. This study aimed to describe efforts to improve religious character in Kindergarten children by using audio-visual media. Class Action Research (CAR) is operated to answer several problem formulations in this study. Data was collected using observation sheets and then analyzed qualitatively. It was conducted at Kindergarten Group B Fathina Kindergarten, Majene Regency, West Sulawesi, Indonesia. The results of this study indicate that there has been an increase in religious character, as seen from the percentage score from cycle I to cycle II. Thus it can be concluded that the planning and implementation of learning in improving the religious character of children through audio-visual media.

  • The Role of The Principal for Educational Reform in Indonesia

      Abstract: This article described the role of a principal as a leader and manager in educational institutions in responding and contributing to educational reform in Indonesia. The leadership of the principal is one of the important points to advancing Indonesia. Along with their roles, principals should be able to bear the burden of responsibility in preparing the quality of education by the tasks and goals to be achieved. The research method in this article used a literature study with a qualitative approach. The results showed that there are many roles that a school principal can contribute to educational reform, such as improving educational facilities and infrastructure for students. Thus, the improvement of good facilities will support the learning and reflect the manifestation of the seriousness of a leader and manager in educational institutions.

  • Interior of The Study and Play Room: It’s Relationship to The Physical
           Development of The Child's Motor

      Abstract: This study aims to find out the early childhood motor development contained in RA Rabbani Islamic School, how to implement the interior of the learning room and play on the physical development of children's motor and see the relationship. The research was conducted at RA Rabbani Islamic School located in Medan City, Medan Helvetia Subdistrict. The method used is qualitative with a phenomenological approach and data collection techniques through observation, interviews, documentation. Then, researchers perform data analysis techniques to compile the data obtained and finally, namely performing data validity techniques through source triangualization, engineering triagulation and time triangulation. The results showed that children's motor development is at a level of developing as expected, because in the implementation of the interior of the study and play room at RA Rabbani Islamic School is very concerned about the shape, color, lighting, texture, variability, material concept, and size of the interior, therefore there is a connection between the interior of the study room and play on the physical development of early childhood motor, From 15 children, there are 11 children who have achieved development as expected (BSH), and 4 children who are very well developed (BSB). If indicated, then the average value is 86, meaning that it has exceeded the value limit of 80, which is determined as the completion value of development achievements.

  • Developing Islamic-Based Mandarin Constructivist Teaching Materials

      Abstract: This research is motivated by the absence of Mandarin language teaching materials that are integrated with Islamic values in their learning and the use of Mandarin language teaching materials, especially textbooks from the country of origin of China (People's Republic of China) which is still thick with eastern culture and less relevant to Islamic values. The research stages are identification analysis, formulation of teaching materials, readability test, trial, validation, and revision as well as making a final prototype. This research concludes that (1) Islamic-based Mandarin constructivist teaching materials are needed, especially in Islamic educational units that include Mandarin in their curriculum. (2) The design of teaching materials with the main topics of discussion on prayer, fasting and Eid has gone through the trial, validation and revision stage to produce the product is in the form of an Islamic-based constructivist Mandarin textbooks for beginners consisting of a teacher's manual and a student's book. (3) Based on the results of the readability test and validation of material experts, Islamic-based Mandarin teaching materials have been feasible 4) Islamic-based Mandarin Language Teaching Materials have received good acceptability from teachers and students as users.

  • Participatory-Transcendental Education: A Qualitative Study on the
           Collaboration-Convergence of Paulo Freire's Liberating education and
           Islamic Education

      Abstract: This research focused on the collaboration-convergence construction of Freire’s liberating education and Islamic education systems. These two systems are integrated into a single dimension of education that has spiritual roots. Therefore, this research tries to analyze Paulo Freire’s educational thinking, which is elaborated, collaborated, converged, and integrated with Islamic education’s theological and philisophical values. This research approach uses a qualitative type of literature study, so it tended to use documentation techniques in collecting its data. The data in this research were analyzed using the interactive analysis of Miles, Hubermann and Saldana. With this method, this research can be more detailed and comprehensive to understand and interpret Freire’s liberation education thinking and Islamic education. This research finds that Freire's education system has an axiological basis of secular humanism that can be collaborated and converged with the values of transcendental humanism in Islamic education. From this collaboration-convergence process, an education system has been created. It has an ontological basis and is integrated with theological values. It is also an axiological dimension of trancendental humanism. This education system has a mission to realize transcendental humanism in the educational process so that this system can be referred to as participatory-trancendental education.

           Perspective of Transcendental Structuralism

      Abstract: The researcher's academic anxiety sees the problem of lagging in Islamic education because the curriculum foundation is not strong. The existence of a long debate regarding the form of Islamic education curriculum demonstrates the confusion about the basic structure or foundation. Philosophically, Q.S. al-‘Alaq 1-5 contains the message of the basic values of Islamic education. The theoretical claim in this paper is Q.S. al-‘Alaq 1-5 which is elaborated on the theory of transcendental structuralism that produces the basic concepts of the Islamic education curriculum. Implicitly, this study can be used as a theoretical framework to analyze the problems of the Islamic education curriculum in general. This study aims to explain the relationship between Q.S. al-‘Alaq 1-5 with the foundation of the Islamic education curriculum. The results of this study indicate that based on Q.S. al-‘Alaq 1-5, the foundation of the Islamic education curriculum consists of epistemology as a way of thinking, world view as a view of world, and ideology as a value order oriented to the integration of spiritualawareness, rationality awareness, ethical awareness, technological awareness and awareness of social transformation. The novelty of this paper is found in the analysis of transcendental structuralism of the verses of the Qur'an which produces the theory of Islamic education. This research can be said as the theorizing of the Qur’an or the science of Islam.

  • Independent Learning Curriculum in School Education Concepts and Planning
           in Islamic Religious Education Perspective

      Abstract: This study tries to describe and analyze the importance of the "Freedom of Learning" curriculum seen from the concept and planning of education at SD Negeri 75 West Pontianak from the perspective of Islamic religious education. Educational "Freedom of Learning" at SD Negeri 75 West Pontianak from the perspective of Islamic religious education. The data were obtained using observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation, following qualitative research procedures. While the analytical technique used was the inductive analysis technique. The results of this study show that in the independent curriculum design, the government emphasizes four programs, namely: USBN, UN, RPP, and PPDB Zoning. SD Negeri 75 Pontianak Barat has prepared itself to participate in innovation following the "Independent Learning" Curriculum program and is currently making preparations and designs regarding this matter. it's like One of them is that the school has provided workshops for teachers so that schools can instill the mindset that the goal of simplifying the RPP does not mean that the special teachers of Islamic Religious Education are lazy, but rather simplifying the RPP so that more teachers can learn.

  • Inclusive Education Policy in Madrasah

      Abstract: Inclusive education is an educational reform for children with special needs so that they have the same rights to obtain an education. This policy of inclusive education is increasingly being promoted with the perception that all Indonesian citizens have the same rank as the fulfillment of human rights in all aspects of life. This study aims to describe policies related to inclusive education in madrasah under the auspices of the Ministry of Religion. This research is a literature study that analyzes the ministry of religion's policies related to inclusive education. The results of the literature study show that inclusive education policies in madrasah are still limited to normative and regulatory policies. The implementation of the policy has not been supervised by all madrasah at the primary education level (Madrasah Ibtidaiyah), and secondary education (Madrasah Tsanawiyah and Madrasah Aliyah).
