  • Improving Children's Interpersonal Intelligence by Adding Quality
           Time Intensity

      Abstract: AbstractThe primary objective of this paper is to investigate the correlation between the intensity of quality time and the level of interpersonal intelligence among students at SMA Muhammadiyah 5 Yogyakarta. The study employed a quantitative research methodology, with a sample size of 68 students selected from a larger population of 215 students. This study assessed the degree of family quality time and the level of interpersonal intelligence among students through the administration of a questionnaire to the participants. The findings indicated that the level of family quality time intensity among the participants was moderate, with a percentage of 63.2%. In the interim, it is seen that pupils exhibit a notable level of interpersonal intelligence, amounting to 79.4%. The results of this study suggest that while the degree of family quality time remains moderate, students at SMA Muhammadiyah 5 Yogyakarta exhibit a significant level of interpersonal intelligence. However, it is imperative to address the issue of intensifying family quality time in order to promote social contact and bolster emotional bonds among family members. This, in turn, has the potential to further augment the development of kids' interpersonal intelligence.AbstrakArtikel ini bertujuan untuk menyelidiki hubungan antara intensitas waktu berkualitas dan tingkat kecerdasan interpersonal di antara siswa di SMA Muhammadiyah 5 Yogyakarta. Penelitian ini menggunakan metodologi penelitian kuantitatif, dengan ukuran sampel sebanyak 68 siswa yang dipilih dari populasi yang lebih besar sebanyak 215 siswa. Penelitian ini menilai tingkat waktu berkualitas keluarga dan tingkat kecerdasan interpersonal siswa melalui pemberian kuesioner kepada partisipan. Temuan menunjukkan bahwa tingkat intensitas waktu berkualitas keluarga di antara partisipan adalah sedang, dengan persentase sebesar 63,2%. Sementara itu, terlihat bahwa para siswa menunjukkan tingkat kecerdasan interpersonal yang mencolok, mencapai 79,4%. Hasil penelitian ini menyarankan bahwa sementara tingkat waktu berkualitas keluarga tetap sedang, siswa di SMA Muhammadiyah 5 Yogyakarta menunjukkan tingkat kecerdasan interpersonal yang signifikan. Namun, sangat penting untuk mengatasi masalah intensitas waktu berkualitas keluarga guna meningkatkan kontak sosial dan memperkuat ikatan emosional antara anggota keluarga. Hal ini, pada gilirannya, berpotensi untuk lebih meningkatkan perkembangan kecerdasan interpersonal anak-anak.How to Cite: Shodiq, S.F. (2023).   • Traditional vs Online Games: Their Benefits for Young Learners

      Abstract: AbstractAs young learners like to learn in a fun atmosphere with engaging interactions, the present study argues that when children learn English as a foreign language, implementing games in teaching English can benefit young learners. The research was conducted following the library research method, where the content of the research from previous studies on English for young learners and the benefits of using games in teaching English for young learners were collected with the keywords "young learners", "traditional games", and "online games." The sources were selected from articles published in reputable international and accredited national journals from 2010-2022. The result of this study shows that two types of games can be chosen such as traditional and online games. The implementation of each type of game in teaching has strengths, weaknesses, and suggestions to improve the quality to help young learners learn. Overall, young learners will get more positive impacts due to the implementation of both traditional and online games. They can be recommended as strategies to teach English to young learners.  AbstrakSebagai pembelajar muda yang suka belajar dalam suasana yang menyenangkan dengan interaksi yang menarik, penelitian ini berargumen bahwa ketika anak-anak belajar Bahasa Inggris sebagai bahasa asing, penggunaan permainan dalam pengajaran Bahasa Inggris dapat memberikan manfaat bagi pembelajar muda. Penelitian ini dilakukan mengikuti metode penelitian perpustakaan, di mana konten penelitian dari studi sebelumnya tentang Bahasa Inggris untuk pembelajar muda dan manfaat penggunaan permainan dalam pengajaran Bahasa Inggris untuk pembelajar muda dikumpulkan dengan kata kunci "pembelajar muda", "permainan tradisional", dan "permainan online". Sumber-sumber ini dipilih dari artikel yang diterbitkan dalam jurnal internasional terkemuka dan jurnal nasional yang terakreditasi dari tahun 2010-2022. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa dua jenis permainan dapat dipilih, yaitu permainan tradisional dan permainan online. Implementasi setiap jenis permainan dalam pengajaran memiliki kelebihan, kelemahan, dan saran untuk meningkatkan kualitasnya agar membantu pembelajar muda belajar. Secara keseluruhan, pembelajar muda akan mendapatkan dampak positif lebih banyak karena penggunaan baik permainan tradisional maupun online.   • Portrait of Adequacy of Teachers in DKI Jakarta Public Madrasah

      Abstract: AbstractThis study aims to analyze the availability of professional teachers in public madrasahs using a descriptive analysis survey method. Respondents were 1116 state madrasah teachers (MIN, MTsN, and MAN) in DKI Jakarta. Teacher profile data obtained from Simpatika. Teacher competency data was obtained through a questionnaire in the Google form in 2021. The results showed that there was a quite significant shortage of educators in MIN of Arabic 46%; Art 45%; and Sports 53%. The class teacher has an excess of 17%. For MTsN and MAN, there are significant deficiencies in the subjects of PKN, Indonesian, Cultural Arts, Sports, and Craft-Entrepreneurship. This study recommends that the Central Ministry of Religion recruit civil servant teachers in all subjects that experience shortages. This study has implications for the management of teacher governance in madrasas, it is necessary to pay attention to the adequacy of teachers for each eye. For the Ministry of Religion as a policy maker to pay serious attention to meeting the needs of teachers in every madrasah. For higher education institutions, it is necessary to open several departments which are currently quite limited in the availability of teachers such as teachers of arts, sports, and counseling guidance.
      AbstrakStudi ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis ketersediaan guru profesional di madrasah negeri dengan menggunakan metode survei teknik analisis deskriptif. Responden merupakan 1116 guru madrasah negeri (MIN, MTsN dan MAN) di DKI Jakarta. Data profil guru diperoleh dari Simpatika. Data kompetensi guru diperoleh melalui angket dalam google form tahun 2021. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terdapat kekurangan tenaga pendidik yang cukup signifikan di MIN sebesar: Bahasa Arab 46%; Seni 45%; dan Olahraga 53% sedang untuk guru kelas mengalami kelebihan sebesar 17%. Untuk satuan pendidikan MTsN dan MAN terdapat kekurangan guru yang cukup signifikan pada mata pelajaran PKN, Bahasa Indonesia, Seni Budaya, Olahraga dan Prakarya-Kewirausahaan. Studi ini merekomendasikan agar Kementerian Agama Pusat melakukan penerimaan guru PNS pada semua mata pelajaran yang mengalami kekurangan. Studi ini berimplikasi terhadap manajemen tata kelola guru di madrasah perlu memperhatikan ketercukupan guru untuk setiap mata. Untuk kementrian agama sebagai pembuat kebijakan agar memberi perhatian serius terhadap pemenuhan kebutuhan guru disetiap madrasah.  Untuk lembaga pendidikan tinggi perlu membuka beberapa jurusan yang saat ini cukup terbatas ketersediaan guru seperti guru seni, olah raga dan bimbingan konseling.

  • SWOT Analysis of Development Strategy Entering the Disruption Era

      Abstract: AbstractThis study aims to find the right strategy for Darus Sunnah Pesantren to face in the disruption era. The disruption era is an era where digitalization is the motor of change that occurs in the social, economic, and cultural sectors. The strategy generated the strengths and weaknesses of Darus Sunnah Pesantren, as well as looking at opportunities and challenges outside Pesantren. This research is a qualitative type of case study model where interviews, observations, and document review as data collection techniques. The results showed that Pesantren Darus Sunnah could utilize its human resources, the majority of whom were millennials and had a good education, to take advantage of digital media, both to raise donations and market their books and promote the institution. Furthermore, based on existing strengths and threats, pesantren can empower their human resources by utilizing their alumni who are many in the digital world. Meanwhile, based on the weaknesses and opportunities, Darus Sunnah can take advantage of online donations and outside assistance to develop digital facilities and infrastructure within the Institution. Meanwhile, based on existing weaknesses and threats, Darus Sunnah can hold digital literacy programs and other programs that counteract the disruption era's negative impacts on stakeholders of Darus Sunnah Pesantren. This competency is also an additional competency for students in the era of disruption.
      AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan menemukan strategi yang tepat bagi Pesantren Darus Sunnah menghadapi era disrupsi. Era disrupsi merupakan era dimana digitalisasi menjadi motor perubahan yang terjadi dalam sektor sosial, ekonomi dan budaya. Strategi dihasilkan melalui analisis SWOT dengan menilai kekuatan dan kelemahan Pesantren Darus Sunnah, serta mencermati peluang dan tantangan di luar Pesantren. Penelitian ini berjenis kualitatif model studi kasus dimana wawancara, observasi dan telaah dokumen sebagai teknik pengumpulan data. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa Pesantren Darus Sunnah dapat memanfaatkan sumber daya manusianya yang mayoritas dari kalangan milenial dan memiliki pendidikan baik untuk memanfaatkan media-media digital, baik untuk menggalang donasi, memasarkan karya tulis mereka dan mempromosikan Lembaga. Selanjutnya didasarkan pada kekuatan dan ancaman yang ada, pesantren dapat melakukan pemberdayaan sumber daya manusianya dengan memanfaatkan alumninya yang banyak berkecimpung di dunia digital. Sementara berdasarkan kelemahan dan peluang yang ada, Darus Sunnah dapat memanfaatkan donasi online dan bantuan-bantuan pihak luar untuk pengembangan sarana dan prasarana digital di dalam Lembaga. Sedangkan berdasarkan kelemahan dan ancaman yang ada, Darus sunnah bisa mengadakan program literasi digital dan program lain yang berfungsi menangkal dampak negatif dari era disrupsi bagi stakeholder Pesantren Darus Sunnah. Kompetensi ini sekaligus menjadi kompetensi tambahan bagi para santri di era disrupsi.

  • Ex-Terrorist Motivation in Reeducation Program: Case Study of Terrorism
           Convicts in Indonesia

      Abstract: AbstractTerrorism is one of the extraordinary crimes, creating terror based on ideological differences and misinterpreting religious teaching. This research focuses on the factors that influence a person to be involved in criminal acts of terrorism. The motivations can vary greatly and are affected by many factors, such as social, economic, religious, and political background. The research uses qualitative methods within the exploratory, investigative approach. The participants of the research are 36 terrorism convicts who are still serving their sentences. The research found that the terrorists were still dominated by males and members of JAD (Jamaah Anshorut Daulah). The background of the individuals is also varied, ranging from uneducated to bachelor or higher, unemployed to civil servants. The convicts who join a terrorist group have different reasons. However, several reasons generally stated by convicts involved in terrorist groups are a strong belief in a particular ideology or religion, hatred of certain groups or ideologies, and the urge to make radical changes in society. In addition, convicts may also be affected by factors such as poverty, injustice, and discrimination they experienced. The research also unveils that the convicts have regret for their previous acts.AbstrakTerorisme adalah salah satu kejahatan luar biasa yang menciptakan ketakutan berdasarkan perbedaan ideologi dan penafsiran yang salah terhadap ajaran agama. Penelitian ini berfokus pada faktor-faktor yang memengaruhi seseorang untuk terlibat dalam tindakan kriminal terorisme. Motivasi dapat bervariasi secara signifikan dan dipengaruhi oleh banyak faktor, seperti latar belakang sosial, ekonomi, agama, dan politik. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan eksploratif dan investigatif. Peserta penelitian adalah 36 narapidana terorisme yang masih menjalani hukuman mereka. Penelitian menemukan bahwa teroris masih didominasi oleh laki-laki dan anggota JAD (Jamaah Anshorut Daulah). Latar belakang individu-individu ini juga beragam, mulai dari yang tidak berpendidikan hingga sarjana atau lebih tinggi, dari pengangguran hingga pegawai negeri. Narapidana yang bergabung dengan kelompok teroris memiliki alasan yang berbeda. Namun, beberapa alasan yang umumnya dinyatakan oleh narapidana yang terlibat dalam kelompok teroris adalah keyakinan kuat pada ideologi atau agama tertentu, kebencian terhadap kelompok atau ideologi tertentu, dan dorongan untuk membuat perubahan radikal dalam masyarakat. Selain itu, narapidana juga dapat dipengaruhi oleh faktor-faktor seperti kemiskinan, ketidakadilan, dan diskriminasi yang mereka alami.            Its Relevance at Islamic Boarding Schools on Java Island

      Abstract: AbstractThe study aimed to determine the urgency of digitizing Islamic boarding school education in Society 5.0 and the effectiveness of the IT-based collaborative learning model on the creative thinking abilities of students in Islamic boarding schools on the island of Java. This mixed methods research method combines two previously existing forms of research, namely qualitative research and quantitative research. The population referred to in this research were all class X students in Islamic boarding schools on the island of Java, including Islamic boarding schools in Banten and Islamic boarding schools in East Java. The variables of this research are the IT-based collaborative learning model and creative thinking abilities. Based on the results of data analysis, it was concluded that 1) urgency digitizing Islamic boarding school education in Society 5.0 is one of the efforts that must be made for all Islamic boarding schools, especially Islamic boarding schools on the Island of Java; 2) Collaborative learning model was very effective for improving students' creative thinking abilities. All aspects of creative thinking can be developed through IT-based collaborative learning in facing Society 5.0 in Islamic boarding schools on the island of Java.AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk menentukan urgensi digitalisasi pendidikan pesantren di dalam Masyarakat 5.0 dan efektivitas model pembelajaran kolaboratif berbasis IT terhadap kemampuan berpikir kreatif siswa di pesantren di pulau Jawa. Metode penelitian campuran ini menggabungkan dua bentuk penelitian yang sebelumnya ada, yaitu penelitian kualitatif dan penelitian kuantitatif. Populasi yang dimaksud dalam penelitian ini adalah semua siswa kelas X di pesantren di pulau Jawa, termasuk pesantren di Banten dan pesantren di Jawa Timur. Variabel penelitian ini adalah model pembelajaran kolaboratif berbasis IT dan kemampuan berpikir kreatif. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data, disimpulkan bahwa 1) urgensi digitalisasi pendidikan pesantren di dalam Masyarakat 5.0 adalah salah satu upaya yang harus dilakukan untuk semua pesantren, khususnya pesantren di Pulau Jawa; 2) Model pembelajaran kolaboratif sangat efektif untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kreatif siswa. Semua aspek berpikir kreatif dapat dikembangkan melalui pembelajaran kolaboratif berbasis IT dalam menghadapi Masyarakat 5.0 di pesantren di pulau Jawa.
