          Pages: 8 - 19
Abstract: This article actualises the importance of education of moral values nurturing a full-fledged personality. Acknowledging the meaning and particularity of education of moral values in ontogenesis, the particular importance of primary education of moral values in the childhood is pointed out. Play stands out as one of the factors that determines the education of moral values processes in current world. On the basis of the scientific sources and data of researches, play is defined as the main child’s activity. Having discussed the effective use of child’s play in education of moral values (in this article from the holistic point of view), the varied influence of play on child’s education of moral values is revealed. Evaluating this effect from the point of view of child’s moral self-development, it is stated that through naturally occurring situations during play, a child is exposed to real possibilities to express moral values that help her//him to better adjust to their peers, to involve into group’s life and to achieve a favourable status. In terms of child’s individuality development, a child is able to acquire new moral abilities, skills, individual experience, norms and regulations, to experience joy and pleasures. Generalising, play may lay valuable foundation for the development of child’s moral and individual personality, which allows for considering play as a significant factor of education of moral values in the childhood.

                 Expression of Christian Values

          • Authors: Klaidas Kauneckas
            Pages: 20 - 26
Abstract: By applying the method of content analysis, the article analyzes basic (grades 5–8) music textbooks by different authors. The article aims to find out how much and in what way Christian values are presented in the content of musical education. The results of the research revealed that the Christian faith, its meaning and values are most reflected in Balčytis’s series of textbooks “Muzika” (2007). Malikėnienė’s textbooks “Muzika” (2010) and “Muzikos labirintai” (2012) pay more attention to the development of students’ secularity and understanding of music.

Abstract: The article reviews the ideology of the É. Jaques-Dalkroze musical-rhythmic education system, the eurythmy method is described, as well as its practical significance in developing a sense of rhythm through a case study, in the 7th grade music lessons of X Pro-Gymnasium.The results of the qualitative activity study revealed that students with good coordination, reaction, and motor skills have a good sense of rhythm. The sense of rhythm of weakly sensitive/anti-arrhythmic research participants during the practice of eurythmy exercises developed positively: the reaction of the participants improved, the internal sense of time duration, body movements became more expressive during the rhythm, and anti-rhythmicity no longer appeared during the practice of eurythmy exercises. Also, after practicing eurythmy exercises, better social skills, emotional state, and positive classroom climate of the participants were observed.

              • Authors: Marius Šinkūnas
                Pages: 29 - 37
Abstract: The present invention (Vibraharp bag, LT6937B) is a keyboard bag for a percussion keyboard instrument (vibraphone, marimba, xylophone, or the like) for the safe operation and transportation of the keyboard, which is the most essential and expensive component of this class instruments. Unlike known bags for a similar purpose, this bag uses special internal key tabs which, when placed on the keyboard, inserts into the gaps between adjacent keys, thus separating them and preventing them from coming into mutual contact, under various operating and transport conditions. This bag helps to protect the keyboard of the instrument from unwanted physical impact and damage, and allows for more convenient and efficient mounting and unmounting of the keyboard during assembly and disassembly of the instrument.

Education through Self-directed Learning: A Case Study

                • Authors: Loreta Venslaviciene
                  Pages: 38 - 49
Abstract: Music education, which complements formal education, is, in the essence of the realization of its educational process, close to the essence of the self-directed learning process, therefore there are theoretical and practical possibilities for the realization of self-directed learning in a music school. The application of self-directed learning redistributes the power and responsibilities of the participants of the educational process, therefore opportune preconditions are created for the change of the interaction between the pupil and the educator and for the transition from teaching to learning. Therefore, the provision is observed that the implementation of self-directed learning in educational practice changes the quality of the educational process. The article analyzes how the self-directed learning, established in the educational process of a specific music education institution (music school) that complements formal education changes the interaction between the pupil and the educator, what circumstances are significant, what are the links with the quality of the educational process. The analysis of the results of the empirical research allows us to state that teachers understand self-directed learning and its importance theoretically, but teaching itself has not become a natural strategy for organizing the educational process; fragmentary features of pupils’ self-direction are seen, positions of learning power are more characteristic of teachers than pupils.

                  • Authors: Emilija Valujavičiūtė
                    Pages: 50 - 59
Abstract: The article analyzes the impact of the chosen method of model application on the classification of multi-label texts written in the Lithuanian language. The article presents a study of mult-label data classification methods in Lithuanian, which includes an analysis of the accuracy of the application of data classification methods for the automatic classification of multiclass texts written in Lithuanian. The classification methods, evaluation criteria, their applicability and the principles of data preparation for classification are reviewed. After preparing the text data for classification tasks, 44 combinations of classifiers were formed for the study and classification was performed using 3 different methods of multi-label data classification: category detection, category membership and category combination detection. The results obtained are compared in terms of time and classification accuracy, identifying the best performing classifiers and identifying the differences and advantages of the classification methods used.
