  • Evaluation of The Significance Grades of The Problems Experienced by
           Mathematics Teachers in Distance Education in The Covid-19 Pandemic by The
           Entropy Method

      Abstract: The entropy formula, created by Claude E. Shannon using probability calculations, is an essential and objective measurement method used in multi-criteria decision-making. The purpose this study was to evaluate the problems experienced by mathematics teachers during the Covid-19 and the degree of importance of these problems were determined. Expert opinions were used to identify the problems. In the study, the ‘Entropy’ method was used to determine the degree of importance of the problems. After determining the problems, a questionnaire was applied to 22 teachers working in different geographical regions of Turkey and with different service lengths. According to the entropy results, it has been determined that the most critical problem faced by mathematics teachers in the distance education process is the ‘communication problem’ between students and teachers. In conclusion, mathematics teachers must find the right learning method to overcome communication problems so that in the future, distance learning will not experience obstacles.

  • Ethnoscience-Based Interactive E-Module: E-Module Development on
           Nonrenewable Resources Topic

      Abstract: This study aims to develop an ethnoscience-based interactive e-module with the topic of non-renewable resources. Research and Development in this study adopted the ADDIE theory by Dick and Carry which consists of five stages: 1) Analysis, 2) design, 3) development, 4) implementation, and 5) evaluation. This research only reached the third stage because at that stage the research objectives had been achieved. The instrument of this research is a Likert scale questionnaire which is analyzed by percentage. The results showed that the interactive e-module was declared feasible to be applied in learning with content and media expert validators giving an average score of above 75%. Student responses to this e-module also reached more than 75%, so this interactive e-module was stated to be very interesting. The conclusion of this study is that this interactive e-module is valid so that it can be applied in physics learning. For further research, it is hoped to develop e-modules on different topics.

  • Religious Values-Based Learning Materials on Earth and Space Science:
           Analysis Spirituality and Conceptual Understanding Levels

      Abstract: This study aims to determine the effect of religious values-based earth and space science teaching materials on the level of mastery of concepts and spiritual attitudes. Using one group pretest-posttest design, 14 items of concept understanding essays test and 15 items of spiritual attitude questionnaire were given to 32 prospective elementary school science teachers who took earth and space science courses in the even semester of 2021/2022. The results of data analysis showed that 30.13% of prospective teacher an increase to the level of partial understanding and 34.60% of prospective teacher an increase to the level of sound understanding. In the aspect of spiritual attitudes, 91.25% of prospective teacher have the perception that their spiritual level has increased and 8.75% of prospective teacher have the perception that their spiritual level is fixed. These results indicate that the religious value-based science teaching materials used are good enough to increase the level of conceptual   understanding and spiritual attitudes

  • Improving Pupils’ Achievement in Fraction Using Inquiry-Based
           Instructional Strategy Enriched with Origami Activities

      Abstract: This study determined the effects of inquiry-based instructional strategy enriched with origami activities and the moderating effect of gender on pupils’ achievement in fraction in Oyo State, Nigeria. The study adopted the pretest-posttest control group quasi-experimental design using a 2x2 factorial matrix. The sample group consisted of 55 boys and 33 girls from two randomly selected public primary schools. Two intact classes were randomly assigned to experimental and control groups. The instruments used were pupils’ achievement test in fraction and teachers’ instructional guides. Data were analysed using analysis of covariance, as well as estimated marginal mean. Treatment had a significant main effect on pupils’ achievement in fraction and there was no significant main effect on gender. Treatment and gender had no significant interaction effect on pupils’ achievement. It was recommended that mathematics teacher should adopt inquiry-based instructional strategy enriched with origami activities.

  • Scientific Approach-Based Student Worksheet to Improve Elementary School
           Student's Scientific Process Skill

      Abstract: This research and development aim to produce student worksheets based on a valid, practical, and effective scientific approach to improve the science process skills of fifth-grade students in elementary schools. The development procedure adopted the Borg and Gall Model, which was simplified into seven steps. In the main field test phase, the research sample was 20 fifth-grade students at SDN 5 Kresnomulyo. This study uses a one-group pretest-posttest design. Data analysis used paired sample t-test to test the difference between the pretest and posttest. The results showed that student worksheets based on the scientific approach were declared valid with content validity values of 86.63 and construct validity of 85.63, practical as indicated by positive student responses, and effective as indicated by n-gain values paired sample t-test results. It can be concluded that the developed student worksheets are feasible to use and can improve students' science process skills.
