- Evaluation of ergonomic models and methods applicable in basic industries

Abstract: There are multiple ergonomic models and methods to perform ergonomic evaluations. However, knowing which ones to apply are the most common questions, so this research aims to evaluate different models and methods to know the key factors for improvement in the workplace. An extensive bibliographic review was carried out, being from the methodological point of view of a descriptive study. It was determined that the methods applied to evaluate the efforts in the function of the postures that determine musculoskeletal disorders in a general way, indicating only the risk levels without considering actions for change, and as for the models, these are focused on safety, quality and labor productivity to increase the effectiveness of the improvements. Finally, a holistic model is presented that synthesizes the key variables for evaluations and improvement actions in the basic industrial sector. - Mortality due to road traffic injuries in older adults in the Republic of
Ecuador between 1990 and 2018: a descriptive study

Abstract: The present study aimed to estimate the trend in road traffic injury mortality in older adults (60 years of age or older) and comparison with those <60 years of age in Ecuador (1990-2018). Official death records and population projections were used to calculate mortality rates per 100,000 population, rate ratios, years of potential life lost (YPLL), and trends. Those under 60 years of age had mortality rates of 16.7 (per 100,000) compared to 36.2 (per 100,000) for older adults, with an increasing trend in YPLL. Older adults recorded fewer deaths than the younger population. However, it is necessary to develop road safety strategies oriented to the progressive aging of the Ecuadorian population. - Analysis of Sexism in University Students

Abstract: A study is presented that analyzed the characteristics of sexism; a descriptive, non-experimental cross-sectional methodology was used. The sample consisted of 3004 randomly chosen university students. A measurement scale with 12 items was used that allowed us to understand the current situation of the students in relation to sexism. The results indicate that sexism in university students is low, statistically significant differences were found between men and women, however, both groups present low scores. Likewise, there are differences in sexism by professional career, where engineering students score higher than social science students and age correlates directly and low with the variable under study. Abstract: The challenges of a post-pandemic society demand from the university an innovative and comprehensive curricular management that responds to the demands of society and scientific-technical development. Due to its potential, the training of superior technicians achieves the satisfaction of these interests, hence the adaptation of their curriculum implies its systematic improvement. The objective of this research is to elaborate a methodology for the curricular design based on professional competencies of the Higher Technician, which favors from its flexible conception and adapted to the characteristics for which they are undertaken, the pertinent training of professionals in a short period of time, based on a system approach with planning, execution and evaluation subsystems, which made it possible to obtain favorable results in the curricular transformation of the methodological and didactic problems detected in the research, developed at the Universidad de Oriente Cuba. The project aimed to explore the influence of consumption and artistic practice on the feeling of health and well-being during the pandemic in the Ecuadorian towns of Manta, Guayaquil, and Quito. The project understands health as an integral state of well-being. From this point of view, art is considered essential to obtain this status. The project adopted a mixed methodology, with an exploratory scope and a non-experimental design. Appraisals were made of the variables (1) consumption and practice of art and (2) subjective well-being. In the absence of a tool, an ad hoc questionnaire was created and applied online. The project found that, in
these cities, the majority of people increased their artistic consumption and practice during the pandemic. The influence of art on human well-being was tested during the study. Art education is recommended as a means to obtain a greater sense of well-being and subjective appreciation of art in the long term. - Identification of product losses and waste in the links of the cocoa value
chain in the provinces of cotopaxi and pastaza

Abstract: In this article, we analyze the waste and losses in the links of the cocoa value chain in the provinces of Cotopaxi and Pastaza. To this aim, information on the volumes of cocoa production in each province was described. Subsequently, the impact of the 2020 pandemic on cocoa production was analyzed. For this,
the Student's t contrast was applied to this variable in the aforementioned provinces. Finally, a description was made of the intensity with which waste and losses are generated in the main links corresponding to the value chain of cocoa production. It was determined that the links of collection and extraction of grains, as well as that of grafting, were the most representative in the waste of the value chain. In the same way, considerable losses were evidenced in the handling of the product and the pruning of diseases or pests. Keywords: Art, cocoa, value chain, product losses, waste. - Proposed model for predicting economic growth based on the Keynesian
aggregate demand equation: Case of Ecuador 1965-2018

Abstract: It is important for researchers and economic policymakers to forecast GDP but sometimes it is complicated or expensive to access the information of the five components of the equation, so this research proposed to validate a model as parsimonious as possible that would make reliable predictions of GDP. Through an iterative process, they were estimated and validated, using multiple linear regression and based on the Expenditure Method equation, equations to which
non-significant and/or less explanatory regressors were eliminated seeking maximum parsimony, to then prove the predictive power of valid equations. As a result, a statistically valid estimator with high predictive power was found, but it includes the five regressors of the original equation. Keywords: GDP, aggregate demand, forecast, parsimony. - The violation of the right to legal certainty due to the lack of
specialization in the administration of constitutional justice of first
and second instance

Abstract: Constitutional justice in Ecuador has evolved in light of the 2008 Constitution, recognizing rights and implementing mechanisms for their respect and protection; However, those who are called to apply the supreme norm and carry out a conventional control in specific cases of violations of fundamental rights, are people without specialization in the matter whose resolutions converge in a continuous violation of legal security. Through a qualitative investigation and the method of documentary observation, 50 resolutions of the Constitutional Court of Ecuador were analyzed within extraordinary protection actions corresponding to the years 2020 and 2021 that originated protection actions. As a result, the lack of legal criteria in constitutional matters as evidenced by the justice operators, in the first and second instance, which forced those affected to go to the highest interpreter of constitutional justice to carry out an adequate analysis of the specific case, arising the need to create specialized judiciary in constitutional matters that hear these actions. - Evaluation of the application of seawater to improve the CBR of the
affirmed subgrade

Abstract: The main human settlements in Peru lack paved roads or affirmed carriage trails for the continuous or safe movement of vehicles. In this work, the evaluation of the application of seawater in the affirmed subgrade is exposed. Laboratory tests have been carried out, managing to see that the most important indicator of the resistance of the tracks helps in a significant way to improve the California Bearing Ratio (CBR). The results using with drinking water are 64.30%, 78.30%, and 95.20% of CBR and with seawater much higher CBR values of 99.20%, 90.90%, and 109.10%, for which an improvement of 34.90% was obtained and with this it is concluded that the addition of seawater significantly increases the California Bearing Ratio (CBR) of the affirmed subgrade. - Consumer behavior respect to the Marketing Mix in the market of
semi-finished and finished cocoa products

Abstract: The objective of this study was to describe consumer behavior in relation to the elements of the marketing mix: product and communication in the market of semi-finished and finished products in the city of Quito-Ecuador. The methodology used was descriptive, quantitative, and bibliographic with a transversal cut, an online survey was applied to the Economically Active Population of the city of Quito with tastes and interests in semi-finished and finished cocoa products. The results showed the trends and preferences of consumers for innovative products with biodegradable characteristics and regarding communication, their inclination on digital communication, mainly through social networks. - Perception of administrative innovation and organizational culture in
banana companies

Abstract: Administrative innovation is a fundamental part of the strategic management of organizations, it constitutes a business competitive advantage, while the organizational culture encompasses behaviors and performances of the organization, which are key to the development of efficient performance to obtain innovations. The present research aims to establish the relationships that occur between administrative innovation and organizational culture, to observe the fulfillment of the goals of banana companies, the applied method is quantitative, analytical-descriptive, and correlational scope, it is carried out the reliability analysis in the Cronbach's Alpha of 0.984 to the 25-item instrument that was used in 86 medium-sized banana companies in the agricultural sector, the results found show that there is a high relationship p> 0.9 between the degree of knowledge and competence of senior managers in the development and planning of innovative work. Abstract: The objective of this work was to present and validate a comprehensive evaluation model of occupational health and safety management (GSST), this method is based on the conceptualization of GSST, identifying areas and dimensions, which, when conceptualized and subsequently decoded, allow us to reach measurable elements, the indicators. Which applied through a scalar instrument, to the interested parties (Stakeholders), in a weighted way, allows through technical processing, to arrive at a comprehensive control and monitoring table of the GSST, allowing the elaboration of an improvement plan considering; areas, dimensions, and each of the stakeholders jointly or disaggregated, the method used is descriptive with a semi-quantitative approach, and the Delphi technique (consultation of experts) was used for validation, applied to 25 national and international prevention specialists. from six countries, generating general results that allowed us to endorse our proposal.
