  • Investigation of the Contribution of the Quantum Idea To the Management
           Science

    • Authors: Murat ŞENGÖZ
Abstract: Today, the characteristics and events related to the management necessitate the evaluation of all information in a holistic manner. For this reason, it is necessary to consider the events in today's business and management worldwith a versatile and relativist perspective. This dynamic way of doing business requires leaders to consider more variables in managerial influence and interests. Today's managerial field describes an environment in which complex activities involving a widevariety of dynamics and procedures take place in the context of determining state styles, comparing the selected state styles with eachother, the impact of the possible behavior of the environment and competitors, and meeting expectations. In this context, quantum thought has the potential to guide the methods that help managers achieve ambiguous reality with the intellectual data it offers. In this study, the relationship between the outputs of entanglement and superposition principles of quantum theory, which is essentially derived from the science of physics, and management science is tried to be revealed.

  • Review of Hannah Arendt: Discourse Against Violence

    • Authors: Mehmet Fatih IŞIK
Abstract: Şiddet sorunu dünya gezegeninde yaşayan varlıklar içinde, sadece insan dünyasına ait olan bir sorundur.

  • Determining Users' Interest Levels for Disasters Specific to Google
           Trend

    • Authors: Galip USTA
Abstract: Disasters are situations in which societies cannot cope with their own resources. Therefore, it is necessary to increase the capacity of the society by preparing for disasters. Determining the vulnerability levels of societies and including them in disaster preparedness plans is important in terms of increasing social capacity. It is thought that the level of interest of societies in disaster education and its field has an important denominator in preparing for disasters. In this study carried out; It has been tried to determine the relevant level of the society through some selected keywords related to the disaster. In the study; In general, a query was made with keywords such as "Earthquake", "Earthquake Prayer", "Earthquake Assembly Area", "Collapse-Trap-Hold", "What to Do in an Earthquake", "What Should Be in the Earthquake Bag", which can determine the level of interest of users in general. It has been determined as a remarkable point that the periods in which the related words are trending in intensity come to the periods when earthquakes are experienced. In addition, it was determined that some words were trending during the weeks organized by the educational activities. As a result; It can be said that societies are generally more sensitive to related issues during and after the event. However, it is clear that more attention should be paid to pre-disaster preparedness studies in order to minimize disaster damage. In this context, it can be stated that the total implementation of pre-disaster preparedness activities will increase resilience.

  • Rootlessness and Whirlpool of Simulation in John Fowles’s The Magus

    • Authors: İsmail AVCU
Abstract: In this article, it is demonstrated that the lack of reality is attributed to a confused and disjointed understanding of historicity since the modern person is unable to connect in any way to the past. Therefore, a surface-level and copycat present tend to fill the chasm of rootlessness. Every postmodern individual in such a universe, where there is no room for any type of variation, ends up being identical to the millions of others, but alone. Therefore, the ordinary and uninteresting state of the modern world eventually gives rise to the world of hyperreality, where everything appears to be more fascinating and less dry than the alleged desert of the real outside. In the context of this study, it is asserted that the postmodern person tires of the apparent artificiality of hyperreality and either strives to re-discover the real or confronts the meaningless wasteland left in the wake of the real’s absence. Therefore, the application of this study is valuable in demonstrating an understanding of the scope and impact of hyperreality, simulation, and simulacra on the postmodern individual and how it may be manageable. In a nutshell, this article aims to look into how John Fowles’s The Magus applied Jean Baudrillard’s idea of hyperreality, simulation, and simulacra. Another goal of the article’s examination of the novel is to demonstrate that there is still a chance to break out from the never-ending simulations that Baudrillard claims make up the majority of the modern universe.

  • A Study on The Satisfaction Perceptions Towards Distance Education of
           German Teacher Candidates

    • Authors: Ayşe ARSLAN ÇAVUŞOĞLU; Fatih TEPEBAŞILI
Abstract: In this study, it is aimed to reveal the perceptions of students who take courses with distance education during the Covid-19 pandemic period about their saticfactions with distance education system. For this purpose, a questionnaire was applied to 80 undergraduate students who study at Necmettin Erbakan University, Ahmet Keleşoğlu Education Faculty, German Teaching Department. The data which obtained from the questionnaires were online collected and analyzed with descriptive statistics such as frequency and percentage with the help of RStudio program. As a result of the research, it was observed that the students did not adopt the distance education system too much. While it is seen that video recordings, flexible training opportunities and time saving related to maintaining German education with remote methods are positive, issues such as not being able to reach the internet, technical problems and having socially isolated were identified as negative aspects. Another remarkable result of the study is that the students stated that they did not have much difficulty in communicating with the lecturer, although not as much as in face-to-face education. A striking result of the research is the excess of undecided students in each section that constitutes the questionnaire. This result shows that in case the technical problems in distance education are resolved and in case improvement of distance education, students can adopt distance education and be satisfied with it. The fact that most of the students stated that they had difficulty in obtaining technical support is one of the situations that should be improved in distance education and it is suggested that similar studies should be performed in other German teaching departments, so common problems can be detected, and joint steps can be taken to overcome the problems and improve the foreign Language teaching system. • On the Appropriate Interpretation of Revealed Comparative Advantage
           Indexes

    • Authors: Ayşenur AVAR; Adil KORKMAZ
Abstract: In this study, Balassa’s revealed comparative advantage index and the indexes of logarithmic revealed comparative advantage, symmetric revealed comparative advantage, weighted revealed comparative advantage, which are defined as an increasing function of the initial one, have been investigated theoretically and empirically from the point of consistency. In theoretical investigating the apparatus for evaluating consistency is the notion of Pearson’s sample correlation. Empirical investigating has been based on the foreign trade data for the year of 2020 of four digits subsectors of Turkish manufacturing industry classified according to ISIC (Rev. 4). The findings obtained from both theoretical and empirical investigating can be listed as follows: If any pair of the indexes mentioned above depend on each other linearly, then they are perfectly consistent as cardinal measure; but if not, they are not perfectly consistent. Moreover, even if they are depend on each other linearly or not, the following result is valid all the time: They are perfectly consistent without no condition when they are interpreted as ordinal measure; and are also perfectly consistent when they are interpreted as dichotomous measure provided that their neutral points are compatible.

  • Teachers' Opinions on Social Studies Students' Misconceptions
Regarding the Human and Environmental Learning Area

    • Authors: Muhammet KAHVECİ; Mustafa ŞEKER
Abstract: Educational programs prepared under the influence of educational theories not only shaped all environments of education and training, but also influenced the contents of the social studies course. Difficulties arise in transferring concepts and information to daily life due to the fact that activities in accordance with active learning principles are not included in the content and practice of social studies courses in Turkey. On the other hand, with the education program published in 2004, constructivist education has been adopted in Turkey. The purpose of this research is to determine the misconceptions of 5th grade students about the learning field of Human and Environment according to the views of social studies teachers, to reveal the reasons for the formation of these misconceptions, to determine the suggestions of the teachers about what activities should be done in order to prevent and eliminate the misconception. The problem of the research; “According to social studies teachers, what are the misconceptions of students about the concepts in the field of people and environment learning'” poses a question. In the research, the data were collected with a structured interview form consisting of four questions. Abstract: Consumption, which is as old as human history, has always been an effective and decisive activity in shaping human and social life from past to present. Consumption, which will change in the future as well as in the past, has become a means of self-expression, self-realization and self-positioning rather than meeting a need for human and society. From this perspective, it reveals the change in the human mind of obtaining something. Because we are faced with very different parameters of what has been consumed due to a need in the past. The main reason behind this change is that the social structure is in constant change. In this study, a theoretical framework of the development adventure of modern consumption has been drawn in the light of consumption theories which provide a perspective on the living spaces of consumption culture.
