  • Temporal Analysis of the Influence of the Number of Vaccinations on the
Number of Covid-19 Cases in South Sulawesi Province Using ARIMAX Model

    • Authors: Aswi Aswi, Muhammad Arif Tiro, Sudarmin Sudarmin, Ruliana Ruliana, Andi Gagah Palarungi Taufik, Zulhijrah Zulhijrah
Abstract: South Sulawesi is a province that has the highest number of Covid-19 cases in the Sulawesi island region. Vaccination is one way that is considered effective in controlling the infection of a disease. Covid-19 vaccination in Indonesia was carried out in January 2021. This study aims to obtain the best Autoregressive Integrated Moving Average X (ARIMAX) model in modeling the effect of the number of vaccinations on the number of Covid-19 cases in South Sulawesi Province. Data on the number of vaccinations and Covid-19 cases in South Sulawesi Province (October 1, 2021 - January 31, 2022) were used. The best ARIMAX model in modeling Covid-19 in relation to the number of vaccinations is ARIMAX (2,1,0). The results showed that the number of vaccinations had a negative effect on the number of Covid-19 cases at the significant level of 10%. This indicates that if the number of vaccinations increases then the number of Covid-19 cases will decrease.

  • SOLASI DAN IDENTIFIKASI SENYAWA METABOLIT SEKUNDER EKSTRAK METANOL AKAR
           NAPAS PEDADA (Sonneratia caseolaris L.)

    • Authors: Netti Herawati, Sitti Faika, Maryono Maryono, Ramdani Ramdani
      Pages: 104 - 110
Abstract: Abstrak.

    • Authors: Nurlita Pertiwi, Irma Aswani Ahmad, Gufran Darma Wirawan
      Pages: 111 - 117
Abstract: Abstrak.

  • The Effect of Acid Treatment on Metal Oxide Content of South Sulawesi
           Natural Clay

    • Authors: Sumiati Side, Suriati Eka Putri
      Pages: 118 - 124
Abstract: . This study investigated the effect of adding acid on the metal oxide content of natural clay in Gowa Regency, South Sulawesi Province. The acid solutions used were sulfuric acid (H2SO4), hydrochloric acid (HCl), and nitric acid (HNO3) with a concentration of 3 M. The characterization of metal oxide content was carried out using XRF and morphological analysis of natural clay using SEM. The results showed that the impurity metal oxide content decreased after being treated with acid. The largest mass percent of silica alumina occurred in the HCl 3 M treatment with alumina mass percent of 20.27% and silica of 25.41%. The clay morphology looks different after being treated with acid for all types of acid solutions. The results of this study are expected to become recommendations for further research related to natural clay pretreatment both as a ceramic base material and as a catalyst support.

  • Karakteristik Batako Pejal di Kota Manado, Bitung dan Tomohon

    • Authors: I Gede Yohan Kafrain, Brayen N. Palandung, Lisa S.G.E Pandean, Utarry E. Rangkang

Abstract: . Bricks is still one of the walls building materials that are widely used in North Sulawesi, specifically in Manado City, Bitung City and Tomon City. The purpose of this study was to determine the characteristics of local bricks in Manado City, Bitung City and Tomohon City. The characteristics of the bricks in question are the dimensions and compressive strength of the bricks. This research was conducted by taking samples of pejal bricks from several brick production sites in Manado City, Bitung City and Tomohon City. The bricks taken to be used as samples are pressed bricks. Brick samples that have been taken from these three cities, are then tested in the laboratory. From the test results in the laboratory, it is known that for the dimensions of the brick samples taken in Manado City and Bitung City, it has not met the brick size standards based on SNI 03-0349-1989, namely the brick length of 390 mm (+3&-5), width 190 mm (+2) with a thickness of 100 mm. The bricks taken from Tomohon City for length mostly meet the existing standards with width and thickness that have not met but are close to the standard.  The results of the compressive strength test for brick samples are only brick samples in Malalayang sub-district that meet the standards, including quality IV-III of 30.67 kg / cm2. None of the brick samples taken from Bitung City and Tomohon City met the compressive strength standards. Keywords: Brick, Building Material, SNI 03-0349-1989
