Authors:Azam Khaerul Fahmi First page: 145 Abstract: The development of this LKPD is not based on a survey or applied directly in schools, but is based on pure research results that are implemented in the field of education as one of the requirements in the preparation of the thesis. The LKPD development process in this implementation uses the ADD (analysis, design, development) stages. This LKPD uses the 2013 curriculum with KD 3.6 and 4.6. to find out the eligibility criteria for LKPD and can be accepted as valid if used in direct learning at school, it must be validated by a validator (Material and Media Expert). The final result of validation by material and media experts with a value of 72 and after being accumulated using the formula determined by the eligibility criteria, it is obtained "sufficient" on condition that the aspects that are still less than perfect are perfected. Authors:Syayidah Dinurrohmah, Nurul Fitriyah Sulaeman, Laili Komariyah, Atin Nuryadin, Saparini Saparini, Lambang Subagiyo First page: 152 Abstract: Although a huge number of studies enhancing pro-environmental behavior (PEB), the environmental quality is still in poor condition. Enhancing PEB needs to consider some aspects, such as the value and location. Pre-service physics teachers have a role in shaping students’ PEB because environmental issues are part of the high school physics curriculum. This study aimed to investigate the link between the location, and values (biospheric, altruistic, egoistic, and hedonic), from two different locations in Indonesia. The modified and translated 2-MEV, and E-PVQ scales were used. This study concluded that the values in both locations are in the very high category, in which the values are correlated to PEB. The strongest correlated value is an egoistic value that is related to the self-enhancement indicating the need for self-enhance approaches in the class to promote PEB. The different locations which are in the same country didn’t show a significant difference in both values and PEB. Thus, future study could conduct their research in a larger area with a different culture to explore the relationship between PEB with location or other demographic aspects, and the development of activities to enhance PEB need to consider the strong relationship between PEB with egoistic value. Authors:Tika Elviana First page: 159 Abstract: The aim of this study was to validate the development of miniature hemodialysis tools for STEM project in human excretion systems learning. The development of this miniature hemodialysis tools can help learners more easily understand the mechanism of dialysis in the learning of human excretion systems. There are four aspects of assessing the validity of experimental tools, these aspects are relevant with the topic taught, ease, clear and neat, and size according to the learning environment. This assessment consists of 4 validation items that have 11 assessment indicators. Each assessment indicator has been scored ≥ 3.00 by experts lecturers. This tool has been validated with the average assessment given by expert lecturers validator I,validator II and professional teacher , respectively 3.46 , 3.67 and 3.40. By averaging the ratings of the three validators, the validation score of this tool is 3.51. This means that all assessment criteria contained on the validation sheet are met by miniature hemodialysis tools. PubDate: 2023-01-30 DOI: 10.15294/usej.v11i3.57964 Issue No:Vol. 11, No. 3 (2023)
Authors:Isni Syahadah, Z. Zulirfan, Naila Fauza First page: 123 Abstract: The purpose of using interactive powerpoint media is improving students' understanding of concepts. In the research that has been conducted involving 62 students of 11th natural science grade even semester of the academic year 2021/2022 at MAS PP Daarun Nahdhah Tawalib Bangkinang, Kab. Kampar, Prov. Riau. The first purpose of research is to describe students' conceptual understanding through the use of interactive powerpoint media. Second, to determine the effectiveness of using interactive powerpoint learning media in improving students' conceptual understanding. The type of research used is a quasi-experimental design with a non-equivalent posttest only control group design with 2 groups of participants, namely the experimental group and the control group. Based on the results of the descriptive analysis, it was found that the understanding of the concept of the experimental group was in the good category with an average achievement capacity of 73.2%. while the result of inferential analysis is that there is a difference in understanding of the concept of the experimental group and the control group with (sig) 0.000 <0.05. it can be concluded that the use of interactive powerpoint media can improve students' conceptual understanding of optical instrument material 11th grade MAS PP Daarun Nahdhah Tawalib Bangkinang. Authors:Eka Sekar Ramandani, Budi Utami, Sukarmin Sukarmin First page: 130 Abstract: This study aims to determine the content of inquiry and authentic assessment components in the analyzed science textbooks. The type of research approach used in this research was qualitative research with descriptive methods in the form of document analysis of Natural Science textbooks for 8th grade Junior High School published by the Ministry of Education and Culture and another book from non-ministerial publisher. The result showed that in the aspect of inquiry, the component with the highest number of findings was in the data collecting component, namely 61 findings in book I and 59 findings in book II. Meanwhile, the the lowest number of findings was the proposing hypothesis with 0 finding in the both books. In the authentic assessment aspect, the component with the highest number of findings lies in the physical context component, namely 33 findings in book I and the assessment task component with a total of 32 findings in book II. Meanwhile, the lowest number of findings in the two books was found in the assessment criteria component with 11 findings in book I and 5 findings in book II. Authors:Helina Pancawardhani First page: 137 Abstract: The use of appropriate learning media will positively influence learning so that learning objectives can be achieved. The purpose of this study was to conduct a literature review on the use of blogs, videos, and video blogs (vlogs) in learning. This research was conducted using a meta-research or meta-analysis approach, namely a search to collect various information by reviewing several research articles in international and national journals relevant to learning media blogs, videos, and vlogs (video blogs). The articles used were published from 2014 to 2021. Based on the sampling criteria, 47 research articles were obtained, including 20 for blog media, 17 for vlog media, and 10 for vlog media. Results show that vlog media has several advantages; besides positively increasing learning motivation, it can also improve learning outcomes, speaking skills, creativity, effectiveness, and efficiency in producing a product, understanding concepts, and learning characters new experiences. The use of vlog media, which has not been widely used for science learning, in this case, chemistry, because it involves several calculation questions, can be used as an introduction or apperception and motivation so that it does not reduce the content and context of the topic and learning objectives. Authors:Nyi Mas Ayu Ratna Gumilar, Sudarmin Sudarmin, Putut Marwoto, Nanik Wijayati Pages: 166 - 172 Abstract: The Ethno-STEM approach has not been widely developed, while the STEM approach has developed in many countries, including Indonesia. This study aims to 1) What are the results of visualization of bibliometric mapping on Ethno-STEM learning research trends, 2) Who are the authors who play a role in Ethno-STEM research, and 3) What are the implications of Ethno-STEM in science learning in elementary school. This study uses a descriptive method with a bibliometric analysis approach based on the Google Scholar database published in 2018-2022. The results of this study indicate that the implications of Ethno-STEM learning in science learning in elementary school can improve students’ creative thinking skills by integrating HOTS (Higher Order Thinking Skill) learning models such as inquiry learning models, project based learning, and problem based learning that can support the skills of students in the 21st century.
