  • A Review on Technology-Based Learning Management Innovations During and
           After The COVID-19 Pandemic Crisis

      Abstract: By the end of 2021, it has been almost two years that schools in various parts of the world have not been able to carry out face-to-face learning activities due to the Covid-19 pandemic. In this situation, online learning is considered to be the best solution so that learning activities can continue. However, the continuous implementation of online learning for a long time has resulted in learning loss – the condition of decreasing students' abilities and skills in cognitive, affective, and psychomotor aspects. To prevent the exacerbation of learning loss conditions, educators must continue working together to innovate in utilizing technology in learning activities. The use of digital technology is useful to control the implementation of learning and education management, especially after the emergence of COVID-19. That way technology becomes the most important part in helping the online learning process.

  • Gauging Long-Term Knowledge Retention of Forensic Science: A Follow-Up
           Study of College Students Who Participated in a Crime Scene Simulation

      Abstract: This is a long-term follow-up to a prior study which found that simulations enhance knowledge retention of undergraduate students who had participated in a mock crime scene. Employing the qualitative method, three participants from the original research were interviewed 1- to 3-years later and asked a series of questions relating to their coursework on forensic science. Findings revealed that long-term knowledge of the major theories relating to the subject domain remained stable over time. It was only the responses to questions regarding specific terminology that presented a gradual decline which is consistent with the decay of semantic memory. Furthermore, each of the subjects were able to recall exactly when during the mock crime scene that they experienced or solved the interview question posited. The ability to trace back and pinpoint the task that prompted the learning and reinforcement of the concept is aligned with episodical memory. Overall, the results indicated that classroom simulations improve long-term knowledge retention of forensic science students.

      Abstract: This paper aims to examine the opportunities and challenges of education in the Industrial Revolution (IR) 4.0 era in Indonesia. The presence of the ASEAN Economic Community (AEC) in the IR 4.0 era has provided great challenges and opportunities for the Indonesian people, especially in the education sphere. The technological advances in this era have had an impact on the emergence of distance learning and the use of E-Learning (electronic-based learning), which is one form of convenience in learning. It has become imperative for educators to be able to use ICT in learning. However, the negative impacts are changes in values, norms, rules, or moral life, which are contrary to those adopted by the Indonesian nation. These basic values of the nation are expected not to be eroded by the progress of the era. Therefore, the role of education as a place to shape the personality and the nation becomes very urgent.

  • Availability And Utilization of Physical Facilities as Correlates of
           Students’ Academic Performance in Electrical Installation and
           Maintenance Work Practice in Technical Colleges in Ekiti State

      Abstract: This study determined the availability and utilization of physical facilities as correlates of students’ academic performance in electrical installation and maintenance work practice in technical colleges in Ekiti State. Four research questions and three null hypotheses guided the study. Descriptive survey and correlational research designs was used for the study. Eight hundred and fifty-three (818 students and 35 teachers) of electrical installation in the six government-owned technical colleges in Ekiti State were studied without sampling. The Instruments for data collection included checklist, structured questionnaire and performance test. The reliability of the performance test was determined through split-half technique. Spearman-Brown formula was employed for reliability coefficient computation which yielded a reliability coefficient of 0.905. Percentage, mean, standard deviation and Pearson Product Moment Correlation coefficient were used to answer research questions. The t-test statistical tool was used to test the null hypotheses relating to utilization of instructional facilities while Pearson Product Moment Correlation coefficient was used to test the null hypotheses relating to physical facilities and students’ academic performance. Findings revealed that majority of physical facilities are available for electrical installation and maintenance work practice in technical colleges in technical colleges in Ekiti State. The study also revealed that there is high positive relationship of 0.61 existing between students’ utilization of physical resources and their academic performances in electrical installation and maintenance work practice in technical colleges in Ekiti State. The study concluded that the level of availability and utilization of physical facilities for electrical installation and maintenance work practice in technical colleges in technical colleges in Ekiti State is not adequate for equipping students with practical skills for self-reliance. The study recommended among others that owners of technical colleges in Ekiti State should adequately provide relevant physical facilities for effective teaching of electrical installation and maintenance workshop practices.

  • Exploring Reliability and Validity for the Professional Quality of Life
           Scale

      Abstract: \ The Professional Quality of Life (ProQOL) instrument has been in use in some variation for decades with the most recent iteration becoming available in 2009. With twelve years of changes in the workforce plus applications of the ProQOL in novel professional groups, it is critical to determine if the tool is still reliable and valid. Data obtained from specific occupational groups, specifically college resident assistants (RAs) and substance abuse professionals (SAPs), will be utilized to explore if the measure holds up to past research claiming high reliability and validity. It is possible that the RAs (n=358) and the SAPs (n=40) will be outliers from these claims due to their unique positionality in their roles or due to the amount of time that has passed since the last update of the ProQOL.
