  Abstract: Within higher education there are some programs that are more directly vocational—studying education or law can lead to careers as teachers or lawyers—and other programs, such as those within a Liberal Arts or Bachelor of Arts degree, where there is a less direct correspondence between the degree and a specific vocation.
