Sus áreas de investigación también abarcan el estudio de los procesos distintivos del islam andalusí y la interacción de dichos procesos con dinámicas globales del conjunto del mundo islámico pre-moderno. Entre sus publicaciones destacan “La historia de los omeyas de al-Andalus en el Enciclopedismo mameluco. III-VII d.C.) a través de las fuentes griegas” en la Università di Genova entre febrero y abril de 2024, amparado por una ayuda José Castillejo del Ministerio de Universidades. En 2020 fue publicado su libro Los vascones y sus vecinos (siglos II a.C. – VIII d.C.) por el Gobierno de Navarra. Otras publicaciones incluyen “Antzinateko baskoiak: izen eta izanaren arteko eztabaidak (XVI.-XXI. mendeak), ” Sancho el Sabio 39 (2016): 33–65, “Un ‘minister quem vulgo mimilogum vocant’ entre los vascones, ” Studia Historica.
