- Ultrafast regimen for Pru p3 sublingual immunotherapy (SLIT-Peach ®) in
patients with anaphylactic LTP-Syndrome

Abstract: We present a number of 22 patients with LTP-syndrome due to ingestion of different vegetable foods sensitized to Pru p3. According to European Academy of Allergy position paper (1) food immunotherapy is indicated when avoidance measures are ineffective, undesirable, or cause serious limitations on patients quality of life. Our patients had an impact on their quality of life (score > 130) before SLIT measured with (2) EuroPrevall Food Allergy Quality of Life Questionnaire (FAQLQ). The ultrafast regimen in one day is achieved in the 95% of our patients. Mild adverse reactions where observed, such as oral pruritus presence in almost all patients. Only one patient (5%) achieved the maintenance dose in two days due to intense oral pruritus. No patients presented systemic reactions. The maint...

population of Brazil

Abstract: The objective of our study was to evaluate the association between the previously described asthma risk factors and the prevalence of asthma in a population of Brazilian adults. A population-based cross-sectional study was conducted using data collected from 7891 patients. All patients in the database > 18 years of age were included. The following variables were collected from the health plan database: age, body mass index, smoking status, alcohol consumption, sedentary lifestyle, heart disease, hypertension, diabetes, and asthma diagnosis. The frequency of the collected variables was compared between patients with or without an asthma diagnosis, and logistic regression was performed. Abstract: Conclusions. In our cohort Patients with history of reaction to taxanes were not at higher risk to develop anaphylaxis to SARS-CoV-2 vaccines. However, a common non-IgE mediated mechanism behind those HSRs cannot be completely excluded. This can only account for mild and harmless symptoms in case of SARS-CoV-2 vaccines.
