  • THE INFLUENCE OF PSYCHOLOGICAL CAPITAL ON TEACHERS’ JOB PERFORMANCE
           IN COMPULSORY EDUCATION

    • Authors: Kai Shao, Boxiang Lu
      Pages: 1 - 14
Abstract: In the modern era, new changes have taken place in teachers’ teaching and students’ learning. As a result, this new era has proposed better requirements for education and teaching activities. In order to adapt to the new requirements, education must also pose new challenges to teachers. This must arouse the enthusiasm of teachers at the compulsory education stage to the greatest extent, thereby effectively improving the performance of their work. In this study, psychological capital was the independent variable, teachers’ job performance was the dependent variable, and teachers’ creative work behavior was the mediating variable. Four hundred and fifty questionnaires were distributed, and 387 were effectively recovered (86%). The proportion of male and female teachers interviewed was 42% and 58%, respectively. From the impact of the teachers’ work performance, it was concluded that psychological capital had a positive impact on the teachers’ job performance and teachers’ creative work behavior, whereas teachers’ creative work behavior had a positive impact on teachers’ job performance, and creative work behavior had a mediating effect. The results provided a certain reference value for the education administrative department and primary and middle schools’ administrative departments.

  • SENIOR EXECUTIVES’ INCENTIVE, R&D INVESTMENT AND FIRM
PERFORMANCE——THE MODERATING EFFECT OF MANAGERIAL DISCRETION

    • Authors: Qian Ma, Guihua Lu
      Pages: 15 - 28
Abstract: In order to better alleviate the contradiction of inconformity between the goals of senior management and shareholders in corporate governance and to enable enterprises to achieve better performance in the fierce market competition, this paper collected data samples of 1, 454 listed Chinese manufacturing enterprises and used Generalized Estimating Equations (GEE) to conduct multiple regression analysis on the research models. The results showed that the implementation of executive incentives could significantly promote research and development (R&D) investment and improve the firms’ performance. Furthermore, it could verify that certain management discretion could strengthen the influence of R&D investment on the firms’ performance. This would indicate that effective executive incentives and appropriate management discretion would provide strong support
for the enterprises to build core competitiveness.

  • THE FINANCIAL INNOVATION MODEL OF SUPPLY CHAIN BASED ON THIRD-PARTY
PLATFORM TAKING A SUPPLY CHAIN IN CHINA AS AN EXAMPLE

    • Authors: Junhai Zheng
      Pages: 29 - 39
Abstract: Traditional supply chain finance has improved the degree of information asymmetry between financial institutions and enterprises to a certain extent. However, due to the existence of information islands, the financing constraints of China’s small and medium-sized enterprises have not yet broken through. By using the basic theory of supply chain finance, this paper used literature analysis, comparative analysis, case analysis, and other methods to explore the interaction between the structure of China’s third-party platform-led supply chain financial system and its system, and summarized the characteristics and operation mechanism of the platform model by comparing it with the traditional model. Then, combined with the actual operation of China’s typical supply chain financial services platform, the service process of the platform was designed and innovated in detail, and the feasibility of this model was analyzed from the aspects of the advantages of the architecture, products, and platforms. The research showed that supply chain finance based on the platform model effectively linked the financial institutions, core enterprises, and other supply chain participants, with its resource integration ability and financing serviceability, this provided a set of supply chain financing solutions for all the participants in supply chain finance, and provided service functions; such as, commercial transactions, fund settlements, and capital finance through the integration of capital supply and demand information, thus realizing the symbiotic win-win situation of the platform’s participants. This paper provided ideas for the construction of a supply chain financial platform system for leading enterprises, financial institutions, Internet technology companies, supply chain service companies, and other major players in China, which would have certain practical significance and theoretical innovation.

  • THE INFLUENCE OF MOBILE PHONE BRAND PERSONALITY ON CONSUMER PURCHASE
           INTENTION

    • Authors: Gai Xing
      Pages: 63 - 77
Abstract: This paper explored the brand personality of popular smartphones from the viewpoint of the consumer’s perception on the basis of extensive study, both at home and abroad, in which there were six dimensions: REN, ZHI, YONG, LE, YA, and XIN. Then, a model about the influence of the smartphone’s six dimensions of brand personality was built, and Nanjing City was selected for conducting a questionnaire survey. From the screening statistics, 492 valid questionnaires were collected, and the empirical findings corresponded to the statistical analysis. The results showed that the measurement scale had good reliability and validity, and six independent variables of the regression equation could explain 56.4% of the dependent variables. The six dimensions of brand personality on brand preference had a significant effect, which the positive effect impact weights were 0.332, 0.324, 0.228, 0.264, 0.322, and 0.276, respectively. Then, the demographic variables of age, occupation, and monthly consumption were explored that showed significant differences on the consumer’s perception of brand personality through one-way ANOVA analysis. On the other hand, gender, age, occupation, monthly consumption, and the smartphone brands displayed significant differences on the consumer’s brand preference. Finally, appropriate management recommendations were proposed for the smartphone
manufacturers to provide some inspiration for building effective brand personality and cultivating consumer brand preference.

  • THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN CONSUMER BEHAVIOR AND BRAND LOYALTY BASED ON
BRAND COMMUNITY RELATIONSHIP: A CASE STUDY OF WINE CONSUMERS

    • Authors: Ying Xiong
      Pages: 78 - 90
Abstract: Under the background of the Internet, brand community relationship has played an important role in the connection between consumers and brand marketing. Therefore, it would be necessary to study the mediating effect of the brand community relationship on consumer behavior and brand loyalty. Based on the perspective of the consumer behavior experience in the brand community of popular
wines on the Internet, this paper collected data from a questionnaire, and explored the influencing mechanism of consumer behavior and brand loyalty through reliability and validity analysis, factor analysis, and modification of the structural equation model of the measurement model. The empirical study showed that brand community commitment had the greatest impact on attitude loyalty, whereas brand community trust had the second largest impact on attitude loyalty, brand community commitment, and brand community trust, which had a lower impact on action loyalty than the former, but both of them were significant. The search of consumer behavior based on brand community trust had a significant mediating effect on attitude loyalty and action loyalty, and the interactive consumer’s behavior based on brand community commitment had a significant mediating effect on attitude loyalty and action loyalty. Therefore, the mediating effect of brand community trust and brand community commitment were verified.

  • THE COMPARATIVE STUDY OF THE SIMILARITY OF VOCABULARY BETWEEN CANTONESE
           AND THAI

    • Authors: Paphada Taweeaksornphun
      Pages: 91 - 99
Abstract: This article aimed to conduct a comparative study of the same and similar words between Cantonese, also known as the “Sam Yup accent” and Thai language. Through a comparative analysis, words were chosen from both languages that had the same meaning and sound. The data used in this study came from a survey of 1,000 Chinese dialect words, which were used to record the pronunciation of four Chinese participants
of Thai Cantonese descent. Then, they were compared with the sounds in the Thai words.
The study showed that from a survey of 1000 words in the dialects as the main object, it was found that Cantonese also known as the “Sam Yup accent” and Thai had five words with the same sound and meaning, and there were 49 words with similar sounds and same meaning. Thus, it could be seen that some words in these two languages were closely related and were not considered to be borrowed words from each other. This study focused on showing the deep connection between Cantonese and Thai, so to provide a relevant
reference for the teaching of Cantonese in Thailand.

  • THE ANALYSIS OF FIVE-YEAR UNDERGRADUATE PROGRAM FOR CHINESE TEACHING
           PROFESSIONAL IN THAILAND

    • Authors: Nopparat Jivakul
      Pages: 100 - 117
Abstract: At present, the training mode of undergraduate Chinese teachers in Thailand is to train five-year undergraduate Chinese teachers in Thai universities. This has been characterized by various training modes, practical training content, and wide training range. However, there were many shortcomings in the five-year training of Thai native Chinese teachers. In order to better solve the practical problems of Thai undergraduate Chinese teachers, it would be necessary to understand and master the needs of different learners for the training of Chinese teachers. Therefore, through the investigation of five-year undergraduate students and graduates, 11 universities with an “undergraduate Chinese teacher specialty”, including five comprehensive universities; such as, Oriental University, Empress Dowager University, Lankangheng University, Kongjing University and Art University, and students from Chiang Mai Royal Normal University, Chiang Rai Royal Normal University, Rachanakarin Royal Normal University, Zhuangjiasheng Royal Normal University, Ganpengbi Royal Normal University, and Zhengda School of Management issued the “Undergraduate Chinese Teacher Specialty of a Thai University”. This paper collected the basic information of the respondents majoring as Chinese teachers, learners’ Chinese background and situation, and the specific situation of the Thai university training, as well as focused on the investigation and analysis of students’ Chinese level before and after training, and Chinese learning and methods during training. It was found that in the universities, they only learned basic Chinese knowledge and teacher theory, and almost had no Chinese teaching skills. However, learning the teaching method of second language teaching was very important for Chinese teachers, and the successful application of the teaching method could make the classroom at least half successful.
Therefore, in view of the existing problems, this paper put forward some countermeasures and suggestions. Consequently, it is hoped that this study could provide a reference for the training of Chinese teachers for five-year undergraduate students in Thailand and the related research of Chinese teaching in Thailand, evaluate the training measures in time effectively, and improve the training effect.

  • DISCUSSION ON THE GRAMMATICAL CONTENT OF THE MIDDLE SCHOOL TEXTBOOK
“EXPERIENCING CHINESE” IN RELATION TO THAILAND PAT EXAMINATION

    • Authors: Wirasak Phappha, Nattakid Sangkamruang
      Pages: 118 - 131
Abstract: This study firstly introduced the screening of the grammar points in Thai PAT 7.4. Secondly,
the grammatical points involved in the seven sets of the authentic Thai Chinese Advanced Placement Test PAT 7.4 were counted. Seven sets of real Thai PAT 7.4 grammar papers were compared and analyzed according to the scope of the “Experiencing Chinese” textbook, to find out the characteristics of the grammar used in the Thai PAT 7.4 and to analyze the characteristics of the questions and question types. Base on the analysis, it could be seen that there was another difficulty in the PAT 7.4, which was there were more five-level grammar items. Thus, the grammar items used on the test paper should be selected within the grammar part of the New Chinese Proficiency Test Syllabus. Simultaneously, the use of super grammar should be reduced, which would reduce the difficulty for students to do the questions. The research results were summarized to provide some reference value for Thai Chinese language teachers, so as to provide a theoretical basis for the popularization of Chinese language in Thailand.

  • THE FORMATION MECHANISM AND COUNTERMEASURE STRATEGIES OF CONFLICT ROLES
           BETWEEN WORK AND FAMILY

    • Authors: Hong Zhang
      Pages: 132 - 145
Abstract: This article aimed to explore the formation mechanism of work-family conflict-type roles and to find conflict resolution strategies. The research site was in Bangkok, Thailand. In-depth interviews with 20 interviewees were conducted through video and audio methods. Based on the grounded theory, this article first used the 5W1H theory to formulate the interview outline, then used the in-depth
interview method and NVivo qualitative analysis software for data analysis, and finally used the grounded theory to establish a theoretical framework. Based on this, the formation mechanism of work-family conflict-type roles was established. The rank sum test was used to test the significance, and the previous qualitative analysis results were combined to draw a conclusion. The study found that
when the mental pressure accumulated by work and family interacted with time conflict, the conflicting role of work and family would emerge immediately. For employees, adjustment methods at the social level were also better than those at the individual level. Simultaneously, the company's incentive policy had a positive effect on alleviating the conflict between work and family. Furthermore, this article used the four quadrants of the time management theory to establish an effective work-family conflict
resolution strategy, which supplemented the existing literature and provided new ideas for fundamentally resolving employee work-family conflicts.

  • THE APPLICATION OF MIND MAP MODEL OF 5W1H METHOD IN THE ONLINE LIVE
           TRAINING OF CHINESE READING

    • Authors: Kunita Dachachote, Liming Yu
      Pages: 146 - 155
Abstract: In studying, second language learners often encounter two problems in the process of Chinese reading. One is unable to summarize the central idea of the article; second, the correct rate of reading and answering questions is low. Therefore, teachers should suggest interesting essay topics for students,
including providing them suitable learning methods for each subject. This research was relevant to arranging the training of Chinese reading though a live method based on the 5W1H analysis with thinking maps with the objective of supporting secondary level students in finding the main points of the provided essay, as well as developing the skills of answering questions from their reading. This study had 74 students in total. After the students applied the thinking maps, they could undertake descriptive writing for the main contents and verbally brief the main ideas. The examination accounted for a total of 10 marks. The average quantitative result of pre-learning was 6.56, and post-learning was 8.77. Accordingly, this teaching method was able to increase the efficiency of Chinese reading. In addition, the standard deviation for pre-learning was 7.37, and post-learning was 4.43. From the research outcome, the regarded teaching method could reduce the level of the reading skill inequality among students.

  • THE INFLUENCES OF INTELLECTUAL CAPITAL ON ORGANIZATIONAL EFFECTIVENESS OF
SERVICE INDUSTRIES’ LISTED COMPANIES IN THAILAND

    • Authors: Xuemei Sun, Yi Ma
      Pages: 156 - 169
Abstract: Knowledge has become a core element of enterprises under the knowledge-based business environment, so intellectual capital would positively affect organizational effectiveness. However, most of the past research put attention on the relationship between intellectual capital and organizational performance. Based on the resource-based theory, the present study collected questionnaires and secondary data from 423 managers from 198 listed companies in the service industry in Thailand. Multiple linear regression, hierarchical multiple regression, and confirmation factor analysis of SPSS 23.0 as well as LISREL 10.20 were used to test the effect of intellectual capital on organizational effectiveness. The result showed that the three dimensions of intellectual capital had
a positive effect on organizational effectiveness; besides, structural capital had the highest extent of the effect. In addition, organizational effectiveness could be best explained when the three dimensions
existed in the model simultaneously. The results not only contributed to the studies of intellectual capital and organizational effectiveness, but also had certain suggestions for the improvement of service-oriented listed companies on intellectual capital managing and organizational effectiveness.

  • THE ERROR ANALYSIS AND TEACHING ADVICE FOR THE USE OF THE PREPOSITION
“GEI” IN MODERN CHINESE FOR THAI UNIVERSITY STUDENTS

    • Authors: Khamphon Phonok, Boonsita Areepong, Sarintip Kongkarin
      Pages: 170 - 185
Abstract: This paper utilized a questionnaire to investigate the situation of Thai university students learning Chinese language in Thailand using the Chinese preposition “gei”, and through the statistical analysis of the error data of the questionnaire intermediary word “gei”. It was found that the highest error rate was “gei 2”, where the semantic feature introduced the service object of the action behavior, which had the meaning of helping or assisting someone to do something. Furthermore, the lowest error rate was
“gei 1 (S2: S-V-O-gei-X)”. On the question of whether the syntactical structure S1 could be converted into the syntactical structure S2, the learners found that the mastery of S1: S+gei+X+V+O could be converted into S2: S-V-O-gei-X, which was better than that of S1: S+gei+X+V+O which could not be converted into S2: S-V-O-gei-X. In the analysis of the error use cases, there were two types of error
according to the error rate from high to low: misuse and error order. The causes of error were summarized in four aspects: 1. Negative transfer of the mother tongue, 2. generalization of the target language, 3. the
influence of the learning strategy and communication strategy, and 4. teachers lacked the consciousness of error teaching.
In view of these four reasons, this paper put forward the following suggestions: first, teachers’ teaching reformed countermeasures, as well as inductive and deductive methods could be used to
strengthen teachers’ training in Chinese or Thai language when teaching the preposition “gei”, improve the Chinese and Thai teachers’ bilingual ability, implement Sino-Thai teachers’ cooperative teaching in a non-Chinese context, and deeply understand the negative transfer influence of the students’ mother tongue. Second, students would acquire the countermeasures, master the semantic and grammatical functions of the preposition “gei”, understand the semantics of the preposition “gei 1” to “gei 4”, and
the grammatical rules used with verbs. Finally, adopt appropriate learning strategies and do not rely too much on the mother tongue.
