- Iranian Turks in Nation-Building Process: First Pahlavi Era
Authors: Mojtaba HEİDARİ
Abstract: The study explores the emergence of Turkic identity as a result of identity politics committed in the aftermath of the nation-state building in Iran after 1925. It is believed that the primordial nationalism on the base of the Aryan race impacted the country's diverse population and ethnic categories and the imposition of highly restrictive measures and social policies in cementing Iranian nationalism built upon the Persian culture and myth, paved the way for the politicization of identity. To obtain a thorough analysis, a set of theories are applied. Pierre Bourdieu's class formation and symbolic concept of power and language in a semi-patrimonial society and the social identity theory and partly the identity process theory and having an eclectic grasp of the literature on assimilation and violence have contributed to the theoretical base of the study. First-hand materials, journals, and archives are used in order to enrich the research content. The establishment of the modern state in the 20th century and the biased ethnic-lingual policies precipitated centrifugal forces among ethnic realities, so the alchemy of stereotyping and discrimination, and social comparison giving birth to group identification contributed to the politicization of ethnic identity among Azerbaijani Turks and their ethnic awareness.

- THE EFFECT OF ABUSIVE SUPERVISION ON EMPLOYEE ALTRUISM: THE MODERATING
ROLE OF PSYCHOLOGICAL CONTRACT BREACH
Authors: Arzu UĞURLU KARA; Kemal KÖKSAL
Abstract: Altruistic behaviors are shown to benefit others without any self-interest as prosocial behavior. Altruistic behaviors have contributions to social life as well as organizational life. Determining which factors affect altruism in organizational environments is essential for organizational effectiveness. Another issue in ensuring this effectiveness is the abusive supervision perceptions within the organization. Employees may face rude and undesirable words and behaviors from the manager in the workplace. These behaviors increase the employees' stress and cause negative work attitudes and behaviors. While abusive management causes an increase in the perception of injustice, deviant work behavior, job dissatisfaction, and work-family conflict, it causes a decrease in perceptions of job performance, commitment, and support. A psychological contract or breach of psychological contract may change management and employee relations balance. This research examined the relationship between abusive supervision perception and altruistic behavior and the moderator role of psychological contract violation perception in this relationship. Data were collected from 294 people working in the manufacturing sector by convenience sampling method. Correlation and regression analysis were performed for hypothesis testing. According to the results, it is seen that abusive supervision affects altruism negatively and significantly. The abusive supervision perception explains 24% of the negative change in employee altruism. The perception of psychological contract violation increases the negative relationship between abusive supervision and altruism. As a result, the findings show that the perception of abusive supervision reduces altruistic behaviors. The employees' high perception of psychological contract violation increases the negative effect of abusive supervision on altruism.

- Employers' Obligation to Employ Persons with Disabilities, Former Convicts
and Terrorism Victims
Authors: Melike YAMAN
Abstract: The principle of freedom of contract, which is based on Article 48 of the Constitution in our law; It is a general principle that has been taken under protection in accordance with the provisions of the Turkish Code of Obligations No. 6098 and is also applied in the field of Labor Law. Another requirement of the said principle is the freedom to choose the contracting party. However, some limitations have been brought to the principle of freedom of contract in labor law as a result of social considerations and the idea of protecting the worker. One of these limitations is the obligation of employers with certain qualifications to employ disabled people, ex-convicts and victims of terrorism. Employers are obliged to employ three percent disabled workers in private sector workplaces where they employ fifty or more workers, and four percent disabled and two percent ex-convict workers or victims of terrorism in public workplaces. The relevant obligation is basically stipulated in Article 30 of the Labor Law No. 4857 and Law No. 854. In addition, there are provisions that need to be examined in the Regulation on National Recruitment Services, the Regulation on the Procedures and Principles to be Applied to Public Institutions and Organizations for the Recruitment of Ex-Convicts or Injured Persons who are not Disabled in the Fight against Terrorism as Workers, and the Regulation on Disability Assessment for Adults. Therefore, it can be said that the regulations that should be handled within the scope of the employers' obligation to employ the disabled, ex-convicts and victims of terrorism are scattered in the legislation. The aim of this study is to reveal the scope, implementation and consequences of the relevant obligation. In line with this purpose, within the scope of the study, the opinions in the doctrine and the decisions of the Supreme Court were examined and the mentioned primary and secondary sources of law were examined. Additionally, concepts of the disabled, ex-convicts, victims of terrorism, private sector, public sector; the conditions to be fulfilled by the workers to be employed within the scope of this obligation, the number of workers to be employed; the rules applied in the determination of the workers and the determination of the workers, the basic principles regarding the implementation of this obligation; the control of the obligation, the violation and the consequences related to this violation have been clarified.
