  • Profit-Loss Sharing Financing and Stability of Indonesian Islamic Banking

      Abstract: Islamic banks are prohibited from using interest rates in any transaction, including financing. Instead, Islamic banks apply a profit-loss sharing (PLS) and non-PLS contract system. PLS financing consists of Musyarakah and Mudharabah. Our study analyzes the extent to which PLS financings with some control variables influence the stability of Islamic banks. This study measures stability utilizing Z-score. We employ the Autoregressive distributed lag (ARDL) model using monthly aggregate data of Islamic banks, covering from 2010:M1 to 2019:M12. According to the bound testing approach, the long-run relationship between dependent and explanatory variables is found. The PLS financings strengthen Islamic banks' stability for which Musyarakah financing enhances the stability but Mudharabah financing weakens stability. Evidence also underlines that bank characteristics such as CAR and efficiency affect stability. High CAR boosts stability but low efficiency deteriorates stability. More importantly, macroeconomic conditions persistently support stability for which economic upturn fortifies stability but sharp depreciation weakens stability

  • Build Loyalty with Islamic Relationship Marketing and Trust Through
           Satisfaction

      Abstract: The success of a company in getting satisfied customers will have an impact on customer loyalty. This study examines and explains how loyalty is built with Islamic relationship marketing and trust through customer satisfaction. The quantitative approach used in this study, the data collection method through questionnaires with non-probability sampling techniques, the number of respondents was 76, the data analysis technique used in this study was Path Analysis.The results showed that there was a relationship between Islamic relationship marketing and trust which had a direct effect on customer satisfaction. Islamic relationship marketing and trust directly affect loyalty, and consumer satisfaction has a direct effect on loyalty. Consumer satisfaction can play a role as a mediating variable between Islamic relationship marketing and trust on loyalty

  • Joint Liability Based Financing To Prevent Non-Performing Financing In
           Bank Wakaf Mikro

      Abstract: The Indonesian government has made various efforts to reduce it, one of which is establishing a Micro Waqf Bank. The focus of the establishment of the Bank Wakaf Mikro is to empower the poor by providing assistance and providing microfinance for productive activities. Interesting to assess is the financing mechanism applied, namely joint liability (tanggung renteng). The purpose of this study is to examine whether joint liability-based financing can prevent non-performing financing. Data were collected from 215 respondents from Micro Waqf Bank customers in Magelang Regency. Data analysis was carried out statistically by using Structural Equation Model (SEM) Partial Least Square. The results show that joint liability-based financing has a significant effect in preventing non-performing financing. This means that joint liability based on Bank Wakaf Mikro can prevent defaults or non-performing financing.

  • Waqf Institution and Management Cash Waqf During The Ottoman Period

      Abstract: This paper discussed the implementation and management of cash waqf during the Ottoman Empire which had controlled parts of the mainland from Europe to Africa. During the reign, waqf has become an instrument that is very successfully implemented in various sectors such as religion, education, social, and health. Even the war equipment also have been funded from waqf. Waqf assets continued to increase and not only provided facilities for the public but also assisted people who need capital to do business. Nazir as a waqf institution (individual or institution waqf manager) has administered waqf with different schemes, such as providing loans in the form of qard hasan, mudharabah, baiulinna, and bidaa. Management waqf institutionally was evaluated by the government in 1823, this evaluation led to the reformation of waqf institution and founded the new waqf institution which is known as Evkaf-I Hümayun Nezareti. This institution was the Ottoman sovereign wealth fund which functioned to manage all waqf assets. All waqf assets, as well as cash waqf, are managed by this institution with various schemes that are not much different from what has been done before. However, in this period the management of cash waqf was only carried out by this institution as the authority for managing waqf assets. The management of waqf assets under this institution lasted until the end of the Ottoman Turkish government.

  • Contribution of Local Wisdom as a Halal Tourism Attraction: Case Study of

      Abstract: Tujuan tulisan ini adalah untuk menganalisis kearifan lokal sebagai atraksi pariwisata halal di Kota Pekalongan. Data primer penelitian dikumpulkan melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Data sekunder diperoleh melalui pengkajian atas artikel, buku, laporan penelitian, dokumen, dan sumber lain yang valid dan mendukung tema penelitian. Wawancara dilakukan dengan tokoh agama, tokoh masyarakat, dinas pariwisata, dan lainnya. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa Kota Pekalongan memiliki prospek menjadi destinasi pariwisata halal karena telah memenuhi komponennya. Di sisi lain, daya tarik dan objek wisatanya juga menarik dan beragam. Di sisi lain, Kota Pekalongan memiliki budaya dan kearifan lokal yang khas dan unik yang tidak lepas dari sejarah masa lampau, aktifitas keagaamaan, dan kreatifitas masyrakat. Budaya, tradisi Islam, dan kearifan lokal yang ada di Kota Pekalongan belum maksimal dikemas menjadi daya tarik wisata. Pengemasannya menjadi daya tarik wisata akan berkontribusi pada perkembangan pariwisata daerah. Pengabaian kearifan lokal sebagai atraksi wisata daerah akan menegasikan Indonesia yang kaya akan keragaman budaya sebagai pembeda dengan negara lain dalam pariwisata halal.

      Abstract: The things which need to be considered in pandemic is the economic sector recovery mechanism as a result of the Pembatasan Sosial Skala Besar policy, especially in Semarang City Government. This PSBB policy is an anticipatory step from the government to chain-break of Covid-19's spread. The application of digital marketing at a strategic level is carried out as an alternative solution to traditional marketing of products produced by pesantren become more comprehensive. So this research aims to build and develop a Program mart Tren which is ideal for micro-businesses adopt especially pesantren in Semarang City. This research uses an exploratory qualitative approach. Data sources obtained through observation, interviews and literature studies. The implementation of the Smart Trends Program is expected to: (1) increase the trust of existing customers and gain new potential customers; (2) renewal in the application of sophisticated technology in marketing; (3) expanding the market share of its superior products; (4) increasing the competitiveness of Islamic boarding schools in empowering the economy of the people. The success of this program will be determined by the seriousness of each stakeholder in carrying out this program in five stages, namely: (1) data collection; (2) registration program; (3) product curation; (4) product orders and deliveries; (5) payment
