Abstract: Chairil Anwar's poems have been discussed by dozens of Indonesian literary critics and academics. Even so, there could still be cases of incorrect identification of Chairil Anwar's poetry by Indonesian literary academics. This article is an investigative research article. Data was obtained from surveys through cyberspace using the Google search engine with certain keywords and applying snowballing techniques. In order to enrich the data in explaining cases of incorrect identification of Chairil Anwar's poetry, class simulations were carried out. The first class simulation resulted in findings of the phenomenon of information overload as the cause of the identification of Chairil Anwar's poetry. In another class simulation, it was found that artificial intelligence in open-access conversation formats such as the GPT Chat which was just present at the time this article was written needs to be closely observed for its development and potential in literary learning. The conclusion of this article is that there is an urgency to increase Indonesian literary literacy in literary learning in tertiary institutions as well as the need for its integration with digital literacy learning.

Based on the language uniqueness of these linguistic aspects, the author groups the themes of kidung discourse into four categories (1) religiosity, (2) social and romantic, (3) ecological, and (4) educative. Based on the content analysis approach, the language uniqueness of the kidung in the lexical form are the repetition of possessive pronouns in social romance-themed kidung, personal pronouns in religious-themed kidung, and the third person pronoun in educational-themed kidung. In the semantic aspect, the repetition of synonyms is found in kidung with ecological themes that relate to synonyms of natural terms, the songs of romance that relate to synonyms of heart and mood, and the songs with religious themes that relate to the repetition of synonyms of divine terms. Abstract: Kerinci is located in Jambi Province and is bordered by the West Sumatra Province. The language used by the people of Kerinci, in general, is the Kerinci language with very diverse isolect variants. This research was conducted in three areas of Kerinci, namely, Tanah Kampung, located in Sungai Penuh City, Kemantan Raya, and Dusun Baru, located in Kerinci Regency. The fundamental reason for conducting this research is to document the variation of isolects in Kerinci from the Automated Similarity Judgment Program (ASJP) Database. This is very important to do considering that so many indigenous languages have shifted or become extinct due to the current technological revolution. The method used is a descriptive method with a dialectological approach, and the technique used is the technique of recording and interviewing using the ASJP database. From the research that has been done, it can be seen that these three observation areas have very diverse phonological variations phonologically. However, when viewed from a lexical point of view, only 11.66% of lexical variations and 88.33% of lexical were found to be the same or similar.

  • ANALYSIS OF CODE-MIXING FOUND IN THE CORBUZIER PODCAST ON YOUTUBE

    • Authors: Lutfio Indra Permana, Malikatul Laila
      Pages: 113 - 126
Abstract: Podcast is a platform for people to talk about something off-air which can be found on YouTube. This study aims to identify the type of code-mixing and to explain the reasons of using code-mixing in the Podcast. This qualitative research collected the data from the speakers’ utterances in the YouTube video entitled “AZKA CORBUZIER LOH UDAH PACARAN SKRG!” using non-participant observation and documentation. The result revealed that there are 172 data containing code-mixing. Firstly, in Muysken’s typology of code-mixing theory, there are: 99 data of alternation type, 72 data of insertion, and one data of congruent lexicalisation. Secondly, the reasons of code-mixing involved two theories: Hoffman’s theory and Bhatia and Ritchie’s theory. In Hoffman’s theory, there are 124 data as talking about a particular topic, 19 data as emphasising the intention, 11 data as clarifying by using repetition, six data as uncategorised, five data as being emphatic about something, three data as quoting somebody else, and two data as expressing interjection and as expressing group identity. In Bathia and Ritchie’s theory: (1) participants: father and son relation; (2) situational factors: podcast setting, involving private domain, intimate and informal conversation, and social variables: 14 years old and 44 years old and wealthy family; (3) message-intrinsic consideration: quotation, reiteration, message-qualification, topic-comment/relative clause, hedging, and interjection/sentence filler; (4) language attitude, dominance, and security: both speakers have positive attitude toward each other’s code-mixing, balanced language dominant, and respectable while exchanging code-mixing.
