    • Authors: Linna Susanti, Muhamad Fiqhussunnah Al Khoiron, Abid Nurhuda, Muhammad Al Fajri
      Pages: 11 - 19
Abstract: Education in Islam is the key for humans to acquire knowledge. And in the concept, similar terms often appear where many people think they have the same meaning, but the essence is different, including the terms tarbiyah, ta'lim, and ta'dib. So the purpose of this study is to describe the nature of Tarbiyah, Ta'lim, and Ta'dib in Islamic Education. The method used is a literature study with qualitative techniques, then analyzed carefully on the relevant contents, and finally concluded with a descriptive. The results of the study show that the emphasis on the term tarbiyah in Islam is focused on guidance and fostering morals, while on the term ta'lim, the emphasis is on conveying complete and correct knowledge. As for ta'dib, the point of emphasis is on the mastery of knowledge that produces charity stability. These three concepts form a unified whole that is interrelated in the educational process, namely Islamic religious education. besides that, it also underlies the goals, methods, educational curriculum, and management that will lead students to become perfect human beings.

  • Interaction Between Religious People in the Qur’an: Examining Tolerance
           in Tafsir Bun Yanun Marshush

    • Authors: Rifqatul Husna, Muflihatul Maqfirah, Salih Abdulrahman Alsounusi
      Pages: 20 - 30
Abstract: Indonesia is a pluralistic and tolerant country with the largest Muslim population in the world. Various ethnicities, cultures, and religions thrive in Indonesia. This diversity is, on the one hand, a noble value, but on the other hand, it has led to conflicts among fellow citizens due to the misuse of the true meaning of tolerance. Therefore, it is crucial to have an understanding of the concept of tolerance along with its rules to create a harmonious and respectful coexistence among religious communities in Indonesia. This research was conducted to find out the meaning of tolerance according to Indonesian ulama who are active in crucial activities for religious relations in Indonesia by referring to the QS. Al-Mumlahanah in the interpretation of Bun-Yanun Marshush. The research employs a literature review using qualitative analysis techniques and a thematic (maudhui) method. Data collection is based on documentation techniques, where primary data is sourced from the Qur’an and the book “Tafsir Al-Qur’an Juz XXVIII Juz Qad Sami’ Allah Bun-Yanun Marshush” (A Solid Building). Secondary data is drawn from various relevant tafsir books, publications, and journals related to the subject, which are then comprehensively studied. In conclusion, this research finds that: 1) Allah does not prohibit Muslims from aiding non-Muslims with the condition that they do not act hostile towards and expel Muslims from their homeland, and 2) the prohibition forming friendships with those who assist non-Muslims in their hostility against Muslims, with a clear distinction between right and wrong

  • The Role of Waqf in Supporting Sustainable Development Goals: Linking
           theory and its practices

    • Authors: Diva Azka Karimah, Mohammad Bintang Pamuncak, Muhammad Khoerul Mubin
      Pages: 31 - 38
Abstract: Poverty has become a main issue faced by many developing countries. It is worsened by the fact that a few rich people have equal wealth to most of the world's population. Hence attempts to reduce the poverty number have been initiated by many players including academicians and international organizations such as the United Nations through the United Nations Development Program (UNDP). On the other hand, Islamic philanthropy such as Waqf has been linked as a medium to not only eradicate poverty but also attempt to develop and empower society. Therefore, this study attempts to link waqf practices and Sustainable development goals (SDGs). This study uses qualitative methods i.e., explanatory studies. This study finds that waqf has similar characteristics with SDGs in at least 7 out of 17 goals of SDGs, including No Poverty goal, zero hunger goal, good health and wealth being goal, quality education goal, affordable and clean energy goal, decent work and economy goal, and industry, innovation, and infrastructure goal. Hence its promotion of the SDGs program is essential and undeniable. Future studies are encouraged to look further at the potential applications and practices of Waqf to the SDGs, particularly from the perspective of public policy and law.

  • Unlocking HAMKA's Insights on Inner Peace in Tafsir al-Azhar

    • Authors: Syarifah Rahmah, Rozi Irfan Rosyadhi
      Pages: 39 - 49
Abstract: This life is like a chain of problems that will continue until the world ends. So, as long as humans still live in the world, they will be faced with problems. However, what differentiates one human from another is the way they deal with problems. Some face it with anxiety, but some can get through it calmly. This calm is an essential discussion of this research. Considering that HAMKA is a mufassir and figure of Sufism, of course, his interpretation is also very much needed to find the essence of mental peace. There is also a research objective, namely, to find out the concept of mental peace according to HAMKA in the Tafsir al-Azhar book. The method used in this research is qualitative with a descriptive-analytical approach. This research uses thematic interpretive research with ontological, epistemological, and axiological analysis. After conducting research, the results were obtained, namely the concept of mental peace from the word sakinah, namely feeling optimistic because you are confident in help from Allah when facing a critical or unfavorable situation. Meanwhile, from the word ithmi'nân, mental calm is a balanced condition that a person feels. The way to achieve peace of mind is to put your trust in Allah and always recite the dhikr of Allah. Meanwhile, the positive impact of mental peace is being wise in making decisions, being kept away from feelings of anxiety, and being able to live life well. Meanwhile, the negative impact if the soul is not calm is that feelings of doubt and anxiety arise and take unwise actions because they are carried away by lust.

  • Spinning Wheels of Knowledge: Elevating Arabic Language Learning Through
           Innovative Teaching Methods

    • Authors: Andriyani Puspitasari, Qolbi Zuhri Ali Murtadho
      Pages: 50 - 58
Abstract: This research explains the application of the Spinning Wheel media or learning tools in English in Arabic language learning, namely as an innovative teaching method to improve students' ability to understand Arabic language material. Teaching media: The Spinning Wheel This is in the shape of a circle and contains an image that then rotates and moves until it stops at one part of the image, which shows the content of the message or information in the form of the subject to be conveyed. This research aims to increase students' understanding of the vocabulary in the material and also improve student learning outcomes. In this research, students were divided into four groups and given the task of answering the questions listed on the spinning wheel, such as vocabulary questions and texts taken from the material. From the application results, researchers have found that this history-spinning wheel teaching media can increase student activity and learning outcomes. Apart from that, this media makes the class come alive, and students are enthusiastic about participating in learning, with various elements and interesting variations in this media. However, this research also identified several challenges in planning and implementation, such as designing and following instructions appropriate to learning and updating assessment evaluations. Nevertheless, the findings from this research provide the basis for considering the use of the historical rotating wheel teaching media as a creative, orderly, neat, and reasonable approach to improving Arabic language learning outcomes.
