  • Analysis of Twitter Users Sentiment against the Covid-19 Outbreak Using
the Backpropagation Method with Adam Optimization

    • Authors: Theresia Hendrawati, Christina Purnama Yanti
      Pages: 1 - 4
Abstract: This research tries to take advantage of Twitter by analyzing Indonesian-language tweets that discuss the Covid-19 virus outbreak to find out what Twitter users think about the Covid-19 virus outbreak. This study tries to analyze sentiment to see opinions on Covid-19 tweets that contains Posittive, Negative or Neutral sentiments using Multi-layer Perceptron (MLP) using Backprogragation with Adam optimization. We collected 200 documents (tweets) in Indonesian about Covid-19 that were tweeted since November 2019 and then trained them to get our MLP Backpropagation model. Our model managed to get an accuracy of up to 70% with f1-scores for positive, negative, and neutral classes respectively 0.77, 0.75, and 0.5 from a maximum value of 1. This shows that our model is quite successful in carrying out the sentiment classification process for Indonesian tweets with the Covid-19 theme.

      Pages: 5 - 9
Abstract: Information systems are very important in this globalization era. Information systems generally can be used as a reference for decision making or to monitor the progress of an activity process. In high education, information systems are no less important than information systems within the company. Higher education is an institution that uses information systems to monitor work systems to improve quality. Higher Education Institute STMIK STIKOM Indonesia has implemented an internal quality assurance system (SPMI). An example of its application is by carrying out an internal quality audit (AMI). To ensure the quality of the application meets the standards and needs of the user, it can be done by performing software testing based on the ISO 25010 standard.

  • The Development of Solar PV Car to Reduce Carbon Emissions from Transport

    • Authors: Moch. Farhan Arieffadillah, I Nyoman Satya Kumara, Yoga Divayana
      Pages: 10 - 20
Abstract: Global warming is contributed by human activities in many sectors. The sector that contributes significantly to generating carbon emissions is transportation sector. An effort to reduce carbon emissions is by utilizing PV panels on vehicle’s body surface. This paper reviews the development of vehicle-mounted PV panels around the world. The review covers technical specifications, manufacturer, and function of the PV panel on the vehicle. The objective is to get insight on the current development of vehicle with PV panels. The information presented in this paper is expected to provide updates for stakeholders in the field of renewable energy and land transportation in Indonesia. Also, this information can be used as a reference for further research on vehicle with PV panels both in Indonesia or elsewhere that are developing future environmentally-friendly vehicle. The result is a database consists of 948 vehicle which has solar PV around the body of the vehicle. 936 vehicles or about 99% were made for solar car race and only 1% for commercial and prototype. The solar PV system serves as a main or auxiliary power supply of the vehicle depending on whether they are hybrid or fully electric cars.

  • Automatic Cigarette Object Concealment in Video using R-CNN

    • Authors: Kadek Utari Widiarsini, Duman Care Khrisne, I Made Arsa Suyadnya
      Pages: 21 - 24
Abstract: Cigarettes are packaged processed tobacco products, produced from the Nicotiana Tabacum, Nicotiana Rustica plants and other species or synthetics that contain nicotine with or without additives. Smoking is known to the public as one of the causes of death in the world that is quite large such as asthma, lung infections, oral cancer, throat cancer, lung cancer, heart attacks, strokes, dementia, erectile dysfunction (impotence), and so on. This research aims to build an application that can recognize cigarettes automatically and conceal pictures so that people especially minors are not affected by cigarettes. The application is built using the Region-based Convolutional Neural Network (R-CNN) method. The study uses images that have cigarette objects in them. The test is carried out to find out the application performance such as the level of application accuracy in recognizing cigarette objects. Based on the test results with a sample of 126 cigarette images, the application built is able to recognize cigarette objects by obtaining an accuracy value of 63%.

  • Balinese Mask Characters Classification using Bag of Visual Words Model

    • Authors: Komang Budiarta, Dewa Made Wiharta, Komang Oka Saputra
      Pages: 25 - 28
Abstract: Mask, often known by Balinese as “Tapel”, is made of pule wood. It depicts the representation of characters in the “badbad” or legend. Bali has many types of mask dances that are often performed, which makes tourists interested in visiting Bali. Unfortunately, many tourists do not know the information contained in Balinese masks. The most important information contained in the character of the Balinese masks. The characters of each mask are different even though they have the same type. As mask art is also a cultural heritage from generation to generation, it needs to be preserved. It is necessary to have information in the form of technology that can distinguish the characters from Balinese masks. In this study, bag of visual word method in the classification process of Balinese mask characters is used, where in this method, there are several algorithms used, namely SURF as feature detection, K-Means as a clustering process to get the value of feature quantization, and SVM as a classification of Balinese mask character. The result of the accuracy level obtained from the testing process is 80%.

  • Status of Battery in Indonesia to Support Application of Solar PV with
           Energy Storage

    • Authors: I Putu Gede Iwan Dwipayana, I Nyoman Satya Kumara, I Nyoman Setiawan
      Pages: 29 - 40
Abstract: Indonesia plans to build solar PV plants to reach 6500 MW capacity by 2025. One of the solar PV applications is systems with battery storage systems. In this system, the battery is an important component of the solar PV system as it stores the energy for use when the sun is unavailable. This article reviews the status of batteries in Indonesia to support the proliferation of solar PV applications. The objective is to compile a battery database for solar PV applications. The database provides insight into technology and the availability of batteries. The database consists of 361 batteries of various technologies such as FLA, VRLA, VRLA gel, VRLA AGM, and Lithium-ion. The most widely available is the VRLA gel. In terms of voltage, batteries are available at 2 to 12 volts and with capacity from 1 to 3000 Ah. The availability of batteries shows that this field is ready to support the development of solar PV with energy storage although the field of battery recycling or its waste management requires more attention.
