  • Screening of mouse strain susceptive to chronic stress depression and
preliminary research of its susceptive mechanism

    • Authors: Long-jin XU, Ke-zhou Wang
Abstract: Objective: To screen mouse strain that susceptive to chronic unpredicted mild stress (CUMS) and preliminarily research its susceptive mechanism. Methods: KM, ICR, BABL/c and C57BL/6 mice were used to establish CUMS depression model. Body weight, sucrose preference test (SPT), open field test (FT) were used to evaluate the sensitivity of mice to CUMS. Hippocampal levels of glucocorticoid receptor (GR), 5-hydroxytryptamine (5-HT), kynurenine (KYN) were measured and used for susceptive mechanism research. Results: Body weight, SPT, horizontal movement score and vertical movement score of C57BL/6 mice were found to susceptive to CUMS. SPT, horizontal movement score and vertical movement score of BABL/c showed similar tendency. Hippocampal levels of GR and KYN of normal C57BL/6 mice were significantly lower or higher than that of normal KM, ICR and BABL/c mice. Conclusions: Our study has led to the view that C57BL/6 mice are susceptive to CUMS and hippocampal levels of GR and KYN may be the main mechanism responsible for its susceptibility.

  • A study on the status and influence factors of the job burnout of
           anesthesiologists

    • Authors: Lu-yao Wang, Hui-rong Yang
Abstract: Objectives: To understand the status and the practical needs of the job burnout of anesthesiologists, and to analyze the main influence factors of it. Methods: Choosing CMBI as the main scale, to survey 337 anesthesiologists of 43 3A-grade or 2A-grade hospitals in Jiangsu, and to draw conclusions through the SPSS statistical analysis and literature research. Results: Female anesthesiologists are more highly depleted and an anesthesiologist, 40-49 years old, married, with a M.D.’s degree or in a senior professional title is at a high level of the job burnout. Job stress, health condition, monthly income, work experience and age influence the emotional exhaustion, with extra working hours, health condition, promotion opportunities, support from relatives and friends, hospital violence and night duties influencing the personal efficacy. Conclusions: Most of anesthesiologists in China are at mild or moderate level of the job burnout, which can be reduced by increasing opportunities for promotion and relieving working stress.

  • Retrospect and prospect for blood pressure test among residents above 35
years old at first visit in Jiading district in Shanghai

    • Authors: An-le Li, Yue-qin Shao, Hong Yuan, Yi-ying Zhang
Abstract: Objective: To understand the policy development of blood pressure test blood pressure test among residents above 35 years old at first visit in Jiading district in Shanghai in order to provide a better reference for the development of the blood pressure test. Methods: Retrospect is from the following three aspects: the policy advancement of the blood pressure measurement, the progress of the work and the next step of the development of blood pressure test to first diagnosis above 35 years old. Results: The total of policy documents related to prevention and treatment of chronic disease, published by national, Shanghai municipal and Jiading District government department are 185. There are 22 policy documents aspects of the prevention and control of hypertension among these documents, and 11 involving measurement of blood pressure test in the first diagnosis patients above 35 years old, 5.95% proportion of above total policy documents. These policy documents involving blood pressure test are technical solutions. There are 3 policy documents (1 Shanghai municipal, 2 Jiading District) involving measurement of blood pressure test published in 1999 and before; and 4 policy documents (2 national, 2 Shanghai municipal) during 2000-2008; and 4 policy documents (4 national) published after 2009. At present, the work runs well in Jiading district, and the work runs better in the community health service center than the comprehensive hospital. Conclusions: More and more documents were released from the national department, provincial department and local health department so that solid policy guarantees the work of blood pressure test for residents above 35 years old at first visit in Jiading district in Shanghai. • Clinical analysis of 103 cases of invasive pulmonary fungal infection

    • Authors: Zu-ping Zhang, Zhi-ping Zeng
Abstract: Objective: To analyze the clinical features of invasive pulmonary fungal infection (IPFI), and to explore the prevention and treatment of IPFI. Methods: Clinical data of 103 cases with IPFI diagnosed in our hospital were retrospectively analyzed. Results: COPD, bronchial lung cancer, and the abuse of antibiotics were the main risk factors of IPFI, among which Candida albicans accounted for 57.3% and Aspergillus species accounted for 32%in all cases. The mortality of IPFI patients was 20.4%. Conclusions: IPFI is a secondary pulmonary infection because of variety of predisposing factors, and its mortality rate is high. Early diagnosing, effective treatment for the fungus and enhancing the nutrition are good for IPFI.

  • Teaching reform and practice of medical genetics teaching in the
cultivation of innovative thinking and clinical practice ability of
           medical students

    • Authors: Ying-zhen Zhang, Wen-Jing Pu
Abstract: To improve medical students' autonomous learning, clinical thinking and problem analysis and problem solving, and clinical practice skills, TBL teaching and clinical practice and case analysis are introduced in medical genetics teaching. The students could promote autonomous learning and independent study through consulting data, group discussion, and social practice. The whole process of heuristic, participatory teaching, could fully mobilize the enthusiasm and initiative of students, making students become the subject of learning, and interaction between teachers and students, students interaction and group discussion, as one of the social practice teaching mode. In this teaching model, students get horizontal contact of knowledge, vertical infiltration, which make the basic medical knowledge and clinical medical knowledge effectively integrate, achieving good teaching effect.
