- PAROXISMOS PATRIMONIAIS: DOS SINTOMAS DA CIDADE MODERNA À DISTOPIA DA
PÓS-METRÓPOLE

Abstract: Resumo: o presente estudo tem o intuito de apresentar uma discussão interdisciplinar sobre o patrimônio das cidades contemporâneas. Para tanto, a partir de uma pesquisa de revisão bibliográfica, que faz parte da tese de doutoramento em Ciências Humanas, na Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina, com enfoque nas políticas públicas de preservação de patrimônio cultural na cidade de Joinville/SC, buscamos entender alguns processos de conceituação envolvendo o tema cidade e patrimônio, a partir da Antropologia, especialmente estudos urbanos da Escola de Chicago, e da História, no campo do Patrimônio Cultural, especificamente. Os aportes teóricos principais foram Cacciari, Certeau, Bauman, W. Benjamin e Hartog. A conclusão que se tem, por ora, é que os patrimônios das cidades históricas (ou não) somente são reconhecidos como tal, na relação com as pessoas que o envolvem. Além disso, o patrimônio é parte indissociável de disputas motivadas pelas hierarquias de capitais culturais. Palavras-chave: cidade; patrimônio; modernidade; contemporaneidade; musealização. Abstract: this study aims to present an interdisciplinary discussion about the heritage of contemporary cities. To do so, from a literature review of research, which is part of the doctoral thesis in Human Sciences at the Federal University of Santa Catarina, with a focus on public policies for cultural heritage preservation in the city of Joinville / SC, we seek to understand some conceptualization processes involving the theme city and heritage, from anthropology, especially urban studies of the Chicago School, and History, the cultural Heritage field specifically. The main theoretical contributions were Cacciari, Certeau, Bauman, W. Benjamin and Hartog. The conclusion that one has, for now, is that the heritage of historical cities (or not) are only recognized as such in relation to the people who surround. In addition, equity is an integral part of disputes motivated by the cultural capital hierarchies. Keywords: city; heritage; modernity; contemporary; musealization.

Abstract: Resumo: este artigo analisa quatro processos de tombamento realizados em Contagem/MG, cidade da Região Metropolitana de Belo Horizonte (RMBH), entre 1998 e 2005, investigando as relações entre as dimensões material e imaterial presentes nas estruturas arquitetônicas que foram reconhecidas pelo poder público como patrimônios. As narrativas elaboradas para justificar os tombamentos em Contagem evidenciam a conexão entre o intangível e o concreto, revelando estas duas dimensões como elementos coligados. Para realizar meu estudo entrevistei os envolvidos nesses processos e examinei os dossiês de tombamento. Palavras-chave: Tombamento; Contagem/MG; Patrimônio imaterial. Abstract: this article examines four heritage listing processes in the municipality of Contagem/MG, in the metropolitan area of Belo Horizonte (RMBH), in the period of 1998-2005, investigating the relations between the tangible and intangible dimensions present in the architectural structures, which have been recognized as heritage by the local government. The elaborated narratives to justify the listings in Contagem/MG highlight the connection between intangible and tangible heritage, revealing these two dimensions as connected elements. - O DESENVOLVIMENTO DO TURISMO PATRIMONIAL NO BAIRRO HISTÓRICO DE COLÔNIA

Abstract: Resumo: este artigo analisa o processo de desenvolvimento do turismo patrimonial no Bairro Histórico da cidade de Colônia do Sacramento, Uruguai, inscrito na Lista do Patrimônio Cultural da Humanidade, pela UNESCO, em 1995. O Bairro é um conjunto excepcional de arquitetura colonial portuguesa do século XVII que passou por diversas ações de intervenção patrimonial nas últimas cinco décadas. Essas ações foram incentivadas pelo interesse turístico que sempre permeou os discursos e práticas de patrimonialização local. Anteriormente à sua chancela internacional, sua condição patrimonial já era promovida como um diferencial turístico, mas sem grande relevância. Contudo, foi através da reconstrução do seu conjunto urbano, a partir da década de 1960, aliada ao incentivo turístico-comercial e a inscrição pela UNESCO que o Bairro desenvolveu-se como atrativo turístico-patrimonial. Palavras-chave: Patrimônio Cultural; Turismo; Desenvolvimento.Abstract: this article examines the development process of heritage tourism in Historic Quarter of the city of Colonia do Sacramento, Uruguay, listed by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site in 1995. The Historical Quarter is an exceptional set of portuguese colonial architecture of the seventeenth century that has gone through several actions of heritage intervention in recent decades. These actions were encouraged by tourist interest that has always permeated the speeches and local cultural heritage practices. Before to its international recognition, its cultural heritage condition was promoted as a tourist differential, but no great importance. However, it was through the reconstruction of its urban set, from the 1960’s, coupled with the tourist-commercial incentive and seal by UNESCO that the Historical Quarter has become an example of heritage tourism destination. - SER PESCADOR EM GUAÍRA/PR: LIMITES E POSSIBILIDADES DA LUTA COLETIVA

Abstract: Resumo: este artigo investiga as condições de vida e de trabalho de pescadores frente aos danos ambientais ocorridos em Guaíra/PR, materializados na formação do lago de Itaipu e na abertura de um canal de navegação no rio Paraná. Frente às transformações causadas por tais obras os pescadores se organizaram em um movimento social para resistir a elas. Desse modo, tentamos compreender os limites e as possibilidades da luta coletiva diante as práticas e projetos propostos, dentre eles, a tentativa de envolver os pescadores com a criação e industrialização da atividade pesqueira, a mediação do Estado e as dificuldades e limitações de sobrevivência por meio da pesca. Abstract: this article investigates the living and working conditions of fishermen against the environmental damage that occurred in Guaíra/PR, materialized in the formation of the Itaipu Lake and at the opening of a shipping channel on the Paraná River. Front of the transformations caused by such fishermen organized works in a social movement to resist them. In this way, we try to understand the limits and the possibilities of collective struggle on the practices and proposed projects, among them, the attempt to involve the fishermen with the creation and industrialization of fishing activity, the mediation of the State and the difficulties and limitations of survival through fishing. REALIZAÇÃO DO PROJETO MAIS CULTURA NAS ESCOLAS NA ESCOLA MUNICIPAL

Abstract: Resumo: este artigo visa relatar a realização do projeto Mais Cultura nas Escolas com alunos do 7º ano do Ensino Fundamental da Escola Municipal Borges Machado, na cidade de Parnaíba, Piauí, onde trabalhamos com o Eixo Temático da Educação Patrimonial: patrimônio material e imaterial, memória, identidade e vínculo social. A realização do projeto teve como objetivo promover vivências, pesquisas e valorização de bens culturais de natureza material e imaterial referentes à memória e identidade cultural da sociedade parnaibana, bem como conhecer a história e as memórias do conjunto do patrimônio ferroviário existente na cidade. Adotamos como procedimentos metodológicos a pesquisa de campo e a história oral, para sensibilizar os alunos com o tema em estudo. Avaliamos a realização do projeto Mais Cultura nas Escolas, que contribuiu de forma significativa para uma maior aproximação da escola com a comunidade, para o (re)conhecimento dos estudantes e também dos professores e professoras do patrimônio cultural ferroviário da cidade de Parnaíba. Ele também promoveu reconhecimento, respeito e a identificação, por parte dos estudantes, para com os bens culturais da cidade. Abstract: this article aims to report the work accomplished through the project "More Culture in Schools" with students from 7th grade of Borges Machado Municipal School in Parnaíba - Piauí, where we have worked with the Thematic Axis of Patrimonial Education: material heritage and immaterial, memory, identity and social link. The purpose of the project was to promote experiences, research and valuation of cultural goods of a material and immaterial nature regarding the memory and cultural identity of the Parnaibana society, as well as to know the history and memories of the whole of the railway heritage in the city. We adopted as methodological procedures the field research and oral history in order to sensitize students with the subject under study. We evaluated the realization of the project More Culture in Schools, which contributed significantly towards a closer relationship between the school and the community, for the students and teachers' knowledge about the cultural heritage of Parnaíba. It has promoted recognition, respect and identification of students with the cultural assets of the city. Keywords: History; equity education; identity; Parnaíba, Mais Cultura.

- A FORMAÇÃO DA CIDADE DE VARGINHA/MG E A CHEGADA DOS
SERVIÇOS URBANOS (1882-1920)

Abstract: Resumo: Varginha, situada no Sul de Minas Gerais, se emancipou do município de Três Pontas no ano de 1882, tendo ocorrido, naquele ano, a primeira reunião da Câmara Municipal de vereadores da cidade. Na época do final do século XIX e do início do século XX, o Brasil como um todo passava por um processo de transformações urbanas e crescimento econômico que também ocorreu em Varginha, embora de forma particular. Assim, considerando as transformações pelas quais Varginha passou na transição do século XIX para o século XX, pretende-se, com esse artigo, abordar quatro serviços que são de suma importância para a formação urbana e econômica de uma região: a chegada da ferrovia, o serviço do abastecimento de água, a inauguração da energia elétrica e a instalação do telefone. Por meio de fontes primárias do período de 1882 até 1920, especialmente atas da Câmara Municipal de Varginha, será possível compreender a formação inicial do município e entender como ocorreu a chegada dos serviços urbanos à cidade. A partir disso, pretende-se analisar como tais serviços contribuíram para a intensificação do processo de urbanização e do crescimento econômico local. Abstract: Varginha, located in the south of Minas Gerais, was emancipated from the municipality of Três Pontas in 1882, and in that year it occurred the first meeting of the councilors of city. In the time of the end of the nineteenth century and the beginning of the twentieth century, the Brazil as a whole underwent a process of urban transformations and economic growth that also occurred in Varginha, though in a particular way. Thus, considering the transformations that Varginha underwent in the transition from the nineteenth century to the twentieth century, this article intends to address four services that are of great importance for the urban and economic formation of a region: the arrival of the railroad, the supply of water service, the inauguration of electricity and the installation of the telephone. Through primary sources from the period 1882 to 1920, especially records of the Varginha Council, it will be possible understand the initial formation of the municipality and how the arrival of urban services occurred in the city. From this, intends to analyze how these services contributed to the intensification of the process of urbanization and local economic growth. Abstract: Resumo: análise das bases da Historia magistra vitae, salientes em autores antigos da Grécia e de Roma, e que teve vida longa na cultura ocidental. Um dos propósitos do artigo é redimensionar a história exemplar como gênero narrativo voltado ao ensino moral. A análise pretende também sugerir os pontos fortes e as limitações da história ciceroniana ao longo da Época Moderna. Por fim, o texto passa em revista alguns fatores responsáveis pelo declínio de um gênero de escrita da história que conheceu uma longevidade milenar. Abstract: an analysis of the Historia Magistra Vitae bases, visible in ancient authors of Greece and Rome, and had a long life in Western culture. One purpose of this paper is to conceptualize history as narrative genre aimed at teaching morals. The analysis also aims to suggest the strengths and limitations of ciceronian history over the Modern Times. Finally, the text looks at some factors responsible for the decline of a genre of writing history which experienced a millennial longevity.
