  • . Changes and Digitalization of Business Models in Italian Blockchain
           Companies

      Abstract: In the last decade the development of technology, of digital platforms and infrastructures has created significant effects on the concept of entrepreneurship so much that it has come to speak of "digital entrepreneurship" (Hansen, 2019; Nzembayie et al., 2019; Kraus et al., 2019). However, for companies, they should be transformed from different points of view to grasp the scale of innovations and gain a competitive advantage in a constantly evolving digital world (Rogers, 2016; Nambisan et al., 2019). This work aims to understand how Italian companies have changed their business models following the implementation of blockchain technology.To construct and test, we have used a case theory method (Gummesson, 2017), a methodology that generates the possibility of understanding the evolution of a company or an industry’s reference business model and the impact of technological innovation, and enables us to have an in-depth understanding of how to use the blockchain technology. The empirical data pertain (14 companies) that are part of the Italia4Blockchain association, a business association that studies and research on Blockchain technology in Italy. The work offers a first description of the economic and management consequences of the application of the blockchain in the Italian blockchain ecosystem.

  • Relationship with Industry 4.0 and Supply Chain Management System of FMCG

      Abstract: Supply chain management optimizing industrial operations to increase both speed and efficiency. Both speed and efficiency are crucial to increase service quality and ensure product delivery at the earliest time. There is increasing use of automation, data processing and exchange, cyber-physical systems, Internet of things and cloud technology in the industry. Modern factories undergo a constant transformation, which has an impact not only on the organization of manufacturing activities but also on the functioning of supply chains. Proper supply chain management practice is important for the First Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) industry because customers will choose the company that meets their needs fastest. It is also important to get competitive advantages in the market with effective supply chain management under industry 4.0. This paper explores the challenges for modern supply chains that arise as a result of the fourth industrial revolution. It attempts to answer the question to what extent the Industry 4.0 affects the organization of products and information flows in supply chains.

  • The Effect of Training, Motivation and Internal Communication on the
           Performance of Employees at Jordanian Islamic Banks

      Abstract: Training and development of employees, internal communications, and Motivation are the main components of internal marketing in Islamic banks in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan. The study aimed to evaluate internal marketing practices in Islamic Banks in Jordan through a modified questionnaire. An overall of 500 respondents’ questionnaire was analyzed by utilizing PLS. Relationships of variables in the proposed model and scale characteristics were analyzed using smart PLS. The findings of the present study show that there are significant links between (Training and development of employees, internal communications and Motivation) and employee’s performance. Based on the results, internal marketing practices have linkages and impact on employees’ performance. Depending on the findings of the study, several suggestions were offered, which will assist decision-makers in recognizing the most prominent elements of internal marketing that can enhance employee performance as the days went by. Also, other challenges and issues for future research were presented.

  • Combating COVID-19 Pandemic: The Best Management Practices of A Designated
           Hospital in Southern Philippines

      Abstract: The worldwide fight against COVID-19 is a battle in progress. As long as its antidote is still unknown to man, each country is left to formulate its strategy to combat the pandemic. In the Philippines, designated COVID-19 hospitals are tasked to receive admissions of positive cases including the possible ones. But how should these designated hospitals effectively respond to the crisis' This qualitative case study identified the best practices of a COVID-19 designated hospital in Southern Philippines. The results show the following initiatives of the facility: provision of material support for frontliners, efficient donations management, calibration of medical personnel on proper triaging, designating Southern Philippines Medical Center as the COVID-19 hospital in Davao City, regular COVID-testing of the medical frontliners, the conduct of free debriefing for medical frontliners, facility expansion, and seamless collaboration between law enforcement, investigators, and health authorities. A government report showed that this facility is effective in managing COVID-19 cases. It is therefore imperative that other designated hospitals in the country should replicate the best practices in their facility.   • Knowledge Management and Extra-role Behaviour The Role of Organisational
           Culture

      Abstract: Many policy makers and managers are yet to know the role that organisational culture play with regards to knowledge management and employee discretionary behaviour. It is based on this premise that this study unveils the curtain behind the role of workplace culture on the relationship between knowledge management and extra-role behaviour. Twenty ICT firms operating in the Southern part of Nigeria were surveyed using simple random sampling technique. Cross sectional research survey was employed. Copies of questionnaire were used to collected data from the respondents’. Face validity was used to ascertain the validity of instrument while Cronbach α was used to ascertain the reliability of the instrument. Kendall Coefficient of Concordance was employed to analyse the hypotheses in conjunction with Pearson Partial Correlation for moderation analysis. This study found that corporate culture moderates the relationship between knowledge management and extra-role behaviour. This study concludes that knowledge management that is measured in terms of knowledge acquisition, knowledge sharing, knowledge storage and knowledge application enhances extra-role behaviour in ICT firms in Port Harcourt, Nigeria. This study recommends that managers of information and communication technology firms should embrace knowledge management in their workplaces to promote extra-role behaviour amongst its employees.
