  • Qualitative Research in Community Health System Studies: Misconceptions
           and Distinguished Paradigm from Quantitative Research

      Abstract: Community health system is relational system that consists of various components for good health by collaborating community with other organizations focusing on self-care.  The community health system comprises of immense primary, secondary, tertiary care, medical care, alternative care, belief, culture, drug use, source of food, market, shop, clinic and drug store. Thus, the research synthesis to answer complicated community health research questions are base on qualitative research paradigm or phenomenalism, which differs from quantitative research paradigm or positivism.  These have held distinguish ideas about ontology, epistemology, methodology, goal, roles of researcher, sample, type of data, data analysis and report. Some misconceptions may lead to wrong research design and data analysis.  The research results will lack of depth, reliability and waste time, lose opportunity and lose money.  Thus, this article is proposed the different paradigms and misconceptions between qualitative and quantitative research, which leads to be correct and suitable community health system research.

  • English Instructional Design Using Scenario-Based Learning

      Abstract: The aim of the article was to propose the English instructional design using scenario-based learning.  This instructional design consists of learning objectives, scenario creation, instructional procedures which include 1) facing a scenario; 2) tackling a problem; and 3) learning independently, teacher’s roles, learner’s roles, and learning outcomes.  The English instructional design using scenario-based learning is suitable for undergraduate students. It enhances all four English language skills by learning in near-world situations.  Learners acknowledge the relevance of the use of English language in the workplace.  The English instructional design using scenario-based learning develops teamwork and collaboration skills, decision-making skills and independent learning skills which are desirable characteristics for learners in the 21st century.  It also prepares graduates to be ready to enter the world of work.

  • A Confirmatory Factor Analysis of Accountants’ Competency in Desirable
           Accountants’ Qualifications

      Abstract: The purpose of this research was to investigate factors influencing accountants' performance based on the desirable accountants’ characteristics and to create a form of confirmation elements for accountants' performance based on desirable accountant characteristics.  The samples were 600 industrial operators, each from a registered company.  The research tool was a closed-ended questionnaire for confirmatory component analysis using the statistical software program.  The results from the confirmatory factor analysis with the observed variable factors, knowledge and professional intelligence, ethics, working and expertise, showed that the effect on the accountant's performance based on the accountant's desirable characteristics was significant at the .05 level.  The chi-square/df was 1.244, the GFI was 0.920, the CFI was 0.960, the RMR value of 0.064 and the RMSEA value of 0.074, which indicated that the model was consistent at the acceptable levels.

  • Integrating Quality Standards into Continual Improvement with the APO-S

      Abstract: In case that the organization has adopted a variety of quality standards such as ISO 9001: 2015, public hearing, and COSO ERM for risk management and Internal control which make staff feel confusing and do not understand.  Especially if those quality works are separated from the routine.  Those problems may be burdensome, and staff could not apply quality work to enhance the performance.  Therefore, the researcher was interested to study the systematic approach to integrate quality standards into continual improvement. In this research found that according to Sigma Sigma's DMADV design principles and Demarest's knowledge management principles were applied to design an integrating quality-standards into continual-improvement process, named the APO-S and get started in 2017.  The results showed how staff competencies for monitoring and evaluating were improved comparing between 2017 and 2018.  We found that the number of offices willing to participate in this process increased from 82.35% to 100%.  The number of proposed improvements increased from 29 issues to 147 issues and the number of PDCA committees increased from 5 to 35 people.  The results of knowledge management and sharing found that the A3 and R2R reports increased from 30 issues to 75 issues, and the number of outstanding reports increased from 7 issues to 21 issues and 5 excellent A3 writing.  In conclusion, the APO-S process could drive qualities into implementation through staff involvement.  All staff must keep improving and increasing productivity. In addition, the APO-S process could be a knowledge management mechanism for construction, dissemination, use, and embodiment.

  • Strategic Talent Management: An Empirical Evident of Energy Business in
           Thailand

      Abstract: The purpose of this study was to examine the influence of strategic leadership and human resource management capability on the operational efficiency and business innovation towards business performance which were mediated by talent management strategy including talent pool building, proactive capability development and knowledge sharing integration. In addition, the business environmental fluctuation was a moderator influencing on business performance. The questionnaire mail survey was applied for data collection. The sample was 210 of the energy business operator in Thailand.The multiple regression analysis was used for data analysis. The results showed as following: 1)3 domains of talent management strategies (talent pool building, proactive capability development, and knowledge sharing integration positively) influenced on operational efficiency; 2) only proactive capability development and knowledge sharing integration positively of talent management strategies affected business innovation; 3) talent pool building of talent management strategy did not predict business innovation; 4) business environmental fluctuation did not mediate on influence of operational efficiency and  business innovation on business performance; 5) strategic leadership and human resource management capability positively affected talent management strategy.  It was beneficial for Thai energy business in planning to achieve the organizational goal, enhancing operational efficiency and business innovation through talent management strategies based on strategic leadership and human resource management capability on The operational efficiency.

  • The Effect of Customers’ Perceived on Value of Global Brands on
           Satisfaction and Loyalty, A case of Fashion Apparel Brands in Bangkok

      Abstract: The objectives of this study were to study about customer perceived value (CPV) of global brands and its relationships with customer satisfaction, factors that could predict satisfaction and customer loyalty and its path analysis and finally to study about CPV affecting on different groups of customers in fashion clothes which were sold in department stores at affordable prices.  The samples of this study were 408 respondents in Bangkok and they were selected by purposive sampling technique. Pearson’s Correlation Coefficient and Stepwise Multiple Regression Analysis were used to test hypotheses.  It was found that there was a medium positive relationship between CPV and satisfaction and the store experience had a strong relationship with satisfaction at the 0.01 level of significance.  Moreover, store experience, emotional value, image, social value, and service could predict customers satisfaction at 44.60%.  There was a significant positive relationship between satisfaction and loyalty and satisfaction could predict customer loyalty at 31.0%.  Different groups of customers perceived different value.

  • Leadership and Business Ethics Related to the Operation of Small and
           Medium-Sized Enterprises in Nonthaburi Province

      Abstract: This research aims were to study; 1) the leadership of small and medium enterprises in Nonthaburi Province 2) the business ethics of small and medium enterprises 3) the operation of small and medium enterprises in Nonthaburi Province 4) the relationship between leadership and operation of small and medium enterprises in Nonthaburi Province and 5) the relationship between business ethics and operations of small and medium enterprises in Nonthaburi Province.  The sample group used in the research was small and medium enterprises in Nonthaburi Province, 393 people.  The tools used to collect data were questionnaires.  Data analysis uses statistics of percentage, mean, standard deviation and Pearson's simple correlation.  It was found that 1) the overall leadership of small and medium enterprises in Nonthaburi Province was at a high level.  Intelligence and leadership was rated at the highest followed by personality.  2) Business ethics of small and medium enterprises in Nonthaburi Province overall, the importance was at a high level.  Considering each aspect, it was found that the highest level of honesty was the average, followed by justice. And in regard to the consideration of building good relations with the community with the lowest mean 3) Operation of small and medium enterprises in Nonthaburi Province was at high level 4) Leadership in relation to the operation of small and medium enterprises in Nonthaburi Province was not significantly different related at the .05 level.  5) Business ethics that are relevant to the operation of small and medium enterprises in Nonthaburi province, there was no statistical different at the .05 level.

  • The Development of Cultural Tourism Route along the Bangkham River

      Abstract: The objectives of this study were to study the problems in developing cultural tourism, to conclude the opinion in cooperation of community and tourism attractions and development guidelines for cultural tourism route of Bangkham River, Lopburi.  From the study, the results of the first objective stating that to study the problems in developing cultural tourism route of Bangkham River, Lopburi, indicated that the problems were from water hyacinth overgrowth which blocked water transportation and rotten the water.  The results of the second objective, to study the opinion in cooperation of community and tourism attractions in the area of Bangkham river, Lopburi, indicated that local people were benefited from Bangkham river in the form of consumption and fishery.  However, people of Bangkham river community still lack in confidence of developing Bangkham river to be an interesting tourism attraction.  The results of the third objective stating that to study of development guidelines for cultural tours of Bangkham River, Lopburi, indicated that 1) there should be more attractions and activities other than nature cruise, 2) the government should support the development of tourism in term of funding, machineries, and personnel.  The policy of controlling and constant water hyacinth should be enacted for cleanliness of water, 3) the local people should cooperate and support the government in order to develop cultural tours of Bangkham river, and 4) the community leaders should be the center for listening to the problem of people and help them accordingly in both the development of tourism and business.

  • Assessment of Quality of Tourist Attraction Management in Trang Province

      Abstract: The objectives of this research were to study and compare assessment of quality of tourist destination management in Trang Province, classified by personal factors.  The samples of this study were 400 local people in Trang province.  The questionnaire was used as a research instrument.  Data were analyzed through statistics including frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, t-test and One-way ANOVA. The results of this research indicated that overall assessment of quality of tourist destination management was rated at a high level.  Individual aspects were considered, all four aspects including service quality of personnel, tourist attractions quality, tourism opportunity expansion, cooperation between networks were rated at a high level.  By comparing the assessment of quality of tourist destination management, classified by personal factors, the respondents with different gender, age, education, occupation, and monthly income had indifferent opinions towards the project evaluation.

  • Ways of Living Based on Sufficiency Economy Philosophy of Personnel in the

      Abstract: The purpose of this research were to study the way of living based on sufficiency economy philosophy, the study of sufficiency economy philosophy and the comparison of the personal factors and the sufficiency economy 192 samples, lifestyle of personnel in Bureau of the Royal Household.  The questionnaire used as a research tool and analysis data by using percentage, mean, standard deviation, t-test, One-way ANOVA and compare the Pairwise difference in Scheffé.  The outcome of this research showed that the overall level of people who lived on sufficiency economy philosophy was in a very high level. Once considering in each aspect, the highest level was the environment, the second was economic, and the least was the body and mind.  The way of living based on sufficiency economy philosophy was in very high level once considering each aspect, the highest level was the modesty, the second was the rational, and the least was the morality.  Also estimate the difference of all aspects which showed that different gender affects the way of living in economic, social and environment at the 0.05 level of statistically significant.  Along with the educational level, the difference of education affected the way of living in sufficiency economy philosophy at the 0.05 level of statistically significant in economic aspect.

  • Factors Influencing Organization Commitment of Staffs in the Government
           Sectors in North Eastern Thailand

      Abstract: The purposes of this research were; 1) to study the factors influencing organization commitment of staffs in the government sectors in the Northeastern of Thailand in 3 dimensions such as (1) atmosphere at the workplace, (2) motivation programs support, (3) policy and administration programs); 2) to compare the organization commitment of staffs in the government sectors in overall and each factor classified by gender, age, education, and position; and 3) to propose the guidelines to develop the human resources in the government sectors leading to increase organizational commitment.  The questionnaire was the instrument of this research.  The cluster sampling method was applied.  The data was collected from staffs who worked in the government sectors in the Northeastern part of Thailand various from director, academic staffs, general staffs, full-time workers, and government employees.  The data was collected during March to May 2017.  The statistical techniques such as frequency, percentage, means, standard deviation, multiple correlation analysis, and multiple regression analysis were used to analyze the data.  The results showed; 1) undergraduate level of education, and general staffs have high level of organizational commitment in overall (3 dimensions). 2) The results of analysis to compare the factors influencing organizational commitment of staffs in the government sectors in each factors classified by gender; it was found that male/female and every education level groups have no different in all dimensions.  Age between 31 - 40 years old had most organizational commitment in atmosphere at the workplace, age between 41 - 50 years old had most organization commitment in support and motivation programs, and age between 51 - 60 years old have most organizational commitment in policy and administration programs.  The directors and general staffs had most organization commitment in policy and administration programs. Finally, the guideline to develop the human resources in the government sectors and lead to increase organizational commitment was focused on the policy and administration programs.  Each government sector should be clearly defined human resource programs and targets to develop human resources.  The effective human resource development plan and the transparency monitoring and evaluation programs were included.

  • Factors Affecting Quality of Work Life of Personnel Department of Health

      Abstract: This research objectives were; 1) to comparison levels of quality of work life classified by personnel factors of personnel of Department of health service support, Ministry of Public Health, 2) to study the relationship between the factor of work with the quality of life for personnel working in the Department of Health Service Support, Ministry of Public Health, and 3) to study the effect of factors of work influencing the quality of work life of personnel in the Department of Health Service Support, Ministry of Public Health.  The sample used in the study such as Personnel of Department of Health Service Support, Ministry of Public Health 299 people.  The tool used is a questionnaire.  The statistics used in data analysis are Frequency Distribution, Percentage, Average, Standard Deviation, Testing of Variance one-way ANNOVA, Testing the different by pair of Scheffé’s method finding Pearson’s product moment correlation coefficient and analyze by stepwise multiple regression (variable increments).  The Research found that 1) factors of personal are Age of marital status, Job Type and Old office different; quality of work life is not different; while personnel that has salary rate is different.  They have quality of work life for environmentally safe and healthful, Difference by statistic about .05 2) Factor of work responsibility, communication within organization and relationship with organization.  They have positive relationship with quality of work life of Personnel 3) The variables that have the power to predict the quality of life in a person's workplace are job responsibilities and organizational commitment.  The organizational commitment variable is the most influential and positively influenced.

  • Organization Branding in Retail Business: A Case Study of Community Mall

      Abstract: Business competition are increased in Community Mall these day.  Organization branding survive sustainably and have made long term profit.  This is quality research data were collected from 1) in-depth interviews with senior executive officers and technical specialists in image building of organization 2) group interview with consumer.  It was found that the organization branding should use the following elements respectively; 1) social and community activities, 2) employees, 3) products and services, 4) marketing communication, 5) environment at workplaces, 6) place and environment, and 7) office equipment sustained in long term business and competition branding.  So it would be sustained and useful in the future to initiate the organization in Thailand as well.

  • Competency Development of the Employees in the Automotive Industry

      Abstract: The purpose of this research aimed to study the needs for competency development of the employees in the automotive industry compared by gender, age, education background, average income per month and career level.  The sampling group used in this research was 400 employees in the automotive industry.  The tools used in this research was the questionnaire.  The statistics used in the research were; the Percentage, Means, Standard Deviation, Chi - Square, t - test and One - way ANOVA with the statistical significance level of .05.  1) Overall the needs for competencies included 3 aspects: knowledge, skills and attributes were high level.  When considered in each aspect, it was found that the highest level of competencies were attributes, it showed that the attributes were the most employees in the automotive industry realized the importance of development competencies, followed by knowledge and skills.  2) For the comparison of the difference between the needs for competency development of the employees in the automotive industry with gender, education background, average income per month and career level found that overall was different with the statistical significance level of .05.  3) The analysis result of the relationship between the employees had opinions about development competencies depending on gender, age, education background, average income per month and career level.

      Abstract: This research aimed to study the level of the consumer’s satisfaction towards the public service of Nonthaburi municipality, to compare level of the consumer’s satisfaction toward of the public service of Nonthaburi municipality with personal factors and to study the factors that influence their attitudes towards public services to the satisfaction of citizens to public services The samples used in the study included 400 people, aged 18 years and over living in area Nonthaburi municipality.  The tool used was a questionnaire.  The statistics used in information analysis included frequency, percentage, average, standard deviation, t-test, One - way ANOVA and Multiple Regression Analysis.  The research result showed that satisfaction of citizens to public services of Nonthaburi municipality as a whole at a high level.  The factors influencing the people’s satisfaction to serve the public was in a positive relationship.  The results of a comparison of the relationship between personal factors and attitudes towards public services showed that the attitude varied according to the average income per month at .05 statistical significance.  However, gender, age, occupation and educational level did not contribute to any statistically significant difference.  The factors predicting of the public satisfaction were service factor, service station and the ease of access service.

  • Information Exposure Expectation and Services Marketing Mix Factors
           Affecting Decision for Car Care Services

      Abstract: The purposes of this research were to study 1) the level of decision to choose the car maintenance service center 2) the information exposure of consumers in Bangkok on the decision to use the car maintenance center service 3) the importance of service marketing mix 4) the differences in the decision to use the car maintenance center service classified by the demographic characteristics of the consumers. 5) the relationship of information perception and the decision to choose the service center. 6) the relationship of service marketing mix and decision to choose the car maintenance center.  The method was a quantitative research; by using a questionnaire as the tools in gathering the data.  The population used in this study was residing in various areas of Bangkok Metropolitan consisted of 400 persons with the average age from 18 - 60 years.  The statistics used for analyzing the data were frequency, mean, percentage, standard deviation, t-test, One-way ANOVA and correlation analysis.  It was found that study on the aspect of the demographic characteristics classified by income was rated high: ranging from 15,001 to 30,000 Baht, different occupations, marital status, single, occupation were employees of private companies, including samples, were in employees of private companies, including samples, and were in high level.  A Bachelor's degree graduates were higher than graduate degree level, thus resulting in a difference of demographic characteristics can be quite different, Information exposure and services marketing mix factors affecting decision for car care services.
