  • APPLICATION OF FUZZY LOGIC METHODS FOR DECRYPTION AND ASSESSMENT OF
           LEARNING OUTCOMES PRESENTED IN THE COMPETENCE-BASED FORMAT

      Abstract: In order to increase the accuracy and reliability of assessment of learning outcomes given in the competence-based format, it is possible to use the approved approaches and methods from contiguous scientific areas. In particular, we propose using the fuzzy logic apparatus when decoding the results of test-based diagnosing of the competency development levels and their components. Adaptation of basic definitions of fuzzy logic to the set subject domain is performed. Approaches for solving the problem of the acquired competence assessment are given, as well as illustrative examples, showing the basic capabilities of the proposed methods and their robustness. An algorithm is proposed for decoding the results of test-based diagnosing of levels of development of competence elements, constructed on the basis of concepts and fuzzy logic apparatus methods adapted to the subject-related field.
