  • PENERAPAN MODEL INKUIRI TERBIMBING BERBASIS LESSON STUDY PADA MATAKULIAH
           KEANEKARAGAMAN HEWAN

      Abstract: Diversity of animal is one of the subjects taken by students majoring in Biology at the University of Malang. Based on the observation result, the learning of this course is done through the practicum and discussion - presentation, and found some problems that are 1) the student is wrong to draw the observation object, 2) the data collected is not in accordance with the observation, 3) the individual work student in the group, 4) Collecting assignments, and 5) students not following lecturer's instructions. The problem is related to the process skill and scientific attitude of the student which is expected to be overcome with the implementation of Guided Inquiry based on lesson study. The result of the research shows that the application of guided inquiry model can improve the students process skill with the average value of classical process skill in the first cycle of 88.87 and in the second cycle of 94.43, and can improve the scientific attitude with the average value of classical scientific attitude on Cycle I of 82.22 and in cycle II of 93.49.Kata kunci : Inkuiri terbimbing, keanekaragaman hewan, lesson study

      Abstract: Animal Diversity The ability asking of students is very important in learning to empower student’s problem-solving. The aim of this research is to determine the student’s asking ability in Islamic senior high school and Muhammadiyah senior high school at Batu City during  Biology learning. The research type is survey method with the descriptive qualitative approach. The sample of this research were students at both of those schools. The sampling method was used homogeneity test. The results showed 23.30% of the all students have been asked a question. In 100% question quality at the level of C1-C3 but there is no question at the C4-C6 level. It means that asking ability in the senior high school of Batu city on Biology learning was in  Low Order Thinking Skills (LOTS) and needs to be improved.Kata Kunci: Kemampuan Bertanya, Pelajaran Biologi,  Kota Batu

      Abstract: The aims of this research is to improve textbook basically project based learning to increasing student creativity that expect that become lesson object and lesson source of biology supporting, understand quality of textbook based on qualification material, presentation, language, and understanding, as soon as understanding respond of students concerning textbook, cognitive result, and student creativity levels. This research using development research with development model 4 stages and have the purpose of research and development from Borg & Gall. Data can we gets from test result cognitive and creativity assessment such as tabulation data with doing validation, reliability, and homogeneity with assistance computer program SPSS 16.0, so that knowing there is differences or nothing level of study result pre-test and post-test of class groups on using textbook with class group that not using textbook by examination t-test. The development of textbook has validation by expert and employing is very good to use.       Abstract: In the learning process, teachers are expected to comprehend how to manage the learning activity including class, students, learning activities, contents and resources of learning. So that in the learning process, students will be active and give a good response to the ongoing learning process. This research is descriptive research that conducted on student grade V in Elementary School Number 5 Tan Malaka Padang. The research method is CIPP that observe four dimensions, They are context, input, process and product dimension. Data from observation and interview will be processed by describing way and analyzing the data until find conclusion. From the result of the research, it is detected that module which will be used for science learning process on the subject of  Digestion System is learning module which oriented to character education through Quantum Learning Approach, based on curriculum, student character and concept overview. The conclusion of this research is the analysis of necessity of learning model for science learning with character education oriented through Quantum Learning Approach using CIPP model that is context dimension analyzing on curriculum, student, and concept. The learning process will use learning module Science of character oriented through Quantum Learning on input dimension. Meanwhile,  the module of the process and product dimension used refers to existing measures on Quantum Learning with full-color display model in line with the character of the student.Kata kunci : Inkuiri terbimbing, lesson study, keanekaragaman hewan

  • PROFIL MISKONSEPSI CALON GURU BIOLOGI PADA MATA KULIAH PPL II

      Abstract: The misconception is the condition when someone who have an incorrect concept in understanding. If it biology prospective teachers has an incorrect concept, the student will get one, too. So, they have to develop the instrument for microteaching subject in order to diagnose the misconception. Therefore, this research aims to develop those instruments.  There are two kinds of instruments were developed in this study. The first instrument evaluated a teacher performance in the microteaching subject. The second instrument evaluated the learning devices of the teachers (eg: learning plan, resource, media, etc).  There are three validators contributed in this study to validate the instruments. The result showed that the instrument was valid to be used, which has 85,71 % score for performance and 94,29% for learning devices.  In the future, we can develop another kind of instrument for misconception diagnosis. Furthermore, those instruments can be applied to another subject.Kata kunci: konsep biologi, miskonsepsi, pembelajaran

  • MODIFIKASI MODEL PEMBELAJARAN SAINS TEKNOLOGI MASYARAKAT (STM) UNTUK
           KELAYAKAN PEMBELAJARAN KIMIA DASAR

      Abstract: The specific aims of this research is the creation of an Instructional System Design in the form of "Learning Model of Community Technology Science (STM)" which is suitable for use in Chemistry learning. Methods to achieve the objectives of this study include stages: (1) design of learning models; And (2) model trials. The STM learning model is modified by the use of visual graphic media. The experimental model test was conducted 8 (eight) meetings on Basic Chemistry subject, discussion of carbon compound material. The learning subjects are the second-semester students of Biology Education Program, 32 students in class A as experiment group, 32 students in class B as the control group. Research data were analyzed through: a) comparison of test result score (Postes - Pretest) between experiment class and control class, and b) measurement of conformity level of STM learning model through 18 items in Rating Rating 1-5; (1 = very unsuitable, 2 = unsuitable, 3 = less appropriate, 4 = appropriate, and 5 = very appropriate) filled by the students of the model trial participants. The analysis results show: a) Gain Experiment class score 27.12; Gain Class control score 2.69. B) The average score of questionnaire implementation of learning amounted to 4.22. It was concluded that the "Modified Learning Models of STM using Visual Graphics Media" are appropriate to be implemented in Basic Chemistry learning on the discussion of Carbon Compound material.Kata Kunci: Modifikasi model pembelajaran, mata kuliah Kimia Dasar, STM

      Abstract: The development of learning model from time to time continue to change. In line with the approach of Constructivism in learning, one of the learning models that is now a lot of response is a model of cooperative learning. Learning model that is applied related to student learning achievement. This study aims to analyze how the implementation of Cooperative Learning Model in an effort to improve learning achievement of learners on the concept of Ecosystem Learning Materials in students class X 5 semester Even East Negeri Lampung Metro Lampung.This research is a Classroom Action Research (PTK) which analyzed qualitatively and quantitatively by using field notes method as the main method, which then method of interview and documentation as supporting method in research. The field note method used by the writer to observe carefully the implementation of the action scenario from time to time, noting all the necessary and happening during the implementation of the action during the learning process using the Cooperative Learning model in MA Negeri I Metro Lampung Timur. Interviews conducted by the authors by interviewing teachers and learners related to the implementation of Cooperative Learning model at MAN I Metro. Documentation used to complement student achievement data and other necessary data. Implementation of Cooperative Learning model can be able to improve student learning achievement. This is evidenced by the increase in the average value of learning achievement of learners from each cycle that is: In the first cycle, learning achievement learners who reached the completeness of 51.71% while unfinished reached 48.25%. In cycle II, learning achievement learners who reach the completeness of 81,58% while learning achievement of unfinished learners reaches 20,67%. In the third cycle, learning achievement of learners who achieve completeness 89.63% while learning achievement of unfinished learners reached 10.34%. Cooperative Learning model applied to Biology subject on the concept of learning material of ecosystem can improve student achievement in class X.5 in MA Negeri I Metro Lampung Timur.       Abstract: This research is aimed to improve:  1) Plan of learning 2) Process of learning the skill of science 3) System of learning evaluation of biology by using the environment as learning source 4) Understanding concept of biology by the students. This research uses 3 cycles in her research. In cycle 1 teacher uses environment by observing surrounding, in cycle 2 she uses the environment to be the location of experiment and discussion while in cycle 3 she uses the environment to observe, discuss and communicate the result of an experiment. The technique of collecting data used is the instrument of process skill observation sheet and written test. The result of this research are: The improve of teacher’s ability in making RPP cycle 1 is 2,80, cycle 2 is 30 and cycle 3 is 3,30. The improve of students’  skill ability process with average score cycle 1 is 66.50 (C), cycle 2 is 69,08 (C) and cycle 3 is 75,50 (B). The system of evaluation in cycle 1 is Multiple Choice, cycle 2 Multiple choices with short reasons and cycle 3 are Multiple choices with an essay. The item test has been valid (0,6), reliable ( 0,6), the level of difficulty of the test is (0,7) and the differential of the test is (0,39).  The result of students,s achievement / understanding concept has increased as follows: In cycle 1 it is 67,75 % students pass 15 students ( 37%) In cycle 2 it is 20 students pass ( 50 %) In cycle3 it increases 84.75 students or 40 person ( 100). Kata Kunci: Keterampilan proses, pemahaman konsep, sumber belajar lingkungan.

  • EKSPLORASI MIKROALGA DI AIR TERJUN WATERVANG KOTA LUBUKLINGGAU

      Abstract: This study aims to explore the types of microalgae that exist in Watervang Waterfall Lubuklinggau City. This research was conducted in June-July 2016 in area Watervang Waterfall of Lubuklinggau City. Sampling is done in the morning, done on two stations with three repetitions. The study is explorative descriptive: exploring the microalgae and identifying it. Data were analyzed descriptively qualitative. The types of microalgae found in waters of Watervang Waterfall of Lubuklinggau city consist of 3 Divisions, 6 classes of 14 genus and 15 species. The microalgae of the Bacillariophyceae class consists of 3 types: Synedra ulna, Rhizosolenia sp, Navicula sp. Chlorophyceae class consists of 7 types namely: Gonatozygon sp, Scenedesmus sp, Pediastrum duplex, Pediastrum singulex, Mougeotia sp, Selenastrum sp, Closteridium sp. Trebouxiophyceae class consists of 1 type, namely: Chlorella sp. Ulvophyceae class consists of 1 type: Ulothrix sp. Class Zygnemophyceae consists of 1 type: Pleurotaenium sp. Class Cyanophyceae consists of 2 types: Synechococcus sp and Oscillatoria sp. Kata kunci: Eksplorasi, Mikroalga, Air Terjun Watervang.

  • PENGARUH FREKUENSI MINUM KOPI TERHADAP KADAR ASAM URAT DARAH

      Abstract: Coffee drinking habits in Indonesian society has been done for generations. According to ordinary people, this habit is done to eliminate drowsiness. The frequency of drinking coffee per day is different. Some studies suggest that coffee causes lower risk of diabetes mellitus and gout, and lower blood uric acid levels. This is due to the presence of chlorogenic acid in the form of polyphenols in coffee. The substance is one of the antioxidants. In addition, in coffee also contains caffeine (1,3,7-trimethylxantine).  This study aims to determine the effect of coffee drinking habits with different frequencies to uric acid levels in men aged 45-65 years. Method. The study was cross-sectional with 45 samples for each light frequency (1-2 cups/day), moderate (2-4 cups per day), and weight (more than 4 cups per day). Information about coffee drinking habits is obtained by charging questioner. Examination of blood uric acid level by spectrophotometry by Uricase / Peroxidase method. The difference between blood uric acid levels among coffee drinkers with mild, moderate, and severe habits was tested by ANOVA test. If there is any substantial difference then it will be tested with a benforeNNI test.Results. The average uric acid levels of men aged 45-65 years who had heavy coffee drinking habits were 3.52 mg / dL, medium coffee drinking habits were 5.43 mg / dL and light coffee drinking habits were 7.28 mg / dL ( With 95% CI). The result of data analysis with ANOVA One Way got p-value (0,000) so that there is the influence of coffee drinking frequency to the uric acid level of a male age 45-65 years in Nusa Indah Subdistrict of Bengkulu City 2016. The result of Bonferroni further test all frequency of drinking coffee is real different. Coffee can lower uric acid levels in coffee drinkers because coffee contains polyphenols that can lower uric acid levels. Conclusion. Coffee drinking habits with different frequency in men aged 45-65 years in Nusa Indah Village Bengkulu City Year 2016 has a real effect on the level of uric acid. The habit of drinking coffee with a heavy frequency (more than 4 cups per day) can lower blood uric acid levels. Kata Kunci: Kadar Asam Urat Darah, Frekuensi Minum Kopi, Kebiasaan Konsumsi Kopi
