      Based on the fact that GPRS holds overwhelming superiority in remote data transmission, remote data transmission system was proposed and designed in this paper based on microcontroller and GPRS, in which the data obtained from temperature sensor DS18B20 and humidity sensor DHT11 was processed by microcontroller; then uploaded to Internet via GPRS module; followed by storage in database. In addition, remote control to the system can be realized by sending specific message to the SIM this system used. The system achieved remote data transmission function, making the transmission convenient, flexible, and reducing the cost.

      In view of the drawback of present household anti-theft system that cannot take feedback about the timely and accurate home situation to owners, a smart home security system that was put forward in this paper based on MCU and GSM; consisted of the single chip processor as the controller, GSM network module, camera module, voice alarm module, etc., n combination with user mobile phone module , which can inform the home information in real time via mobile phone network, thus the function of the remote intelligent household security can be achieved.
