  • Geospatial Intervention in Mapping of Solar PV Installations using
           Satellite Imagery
    • Authors: JAGADISH KUMAR MOGARAJU
      Pages: 1 - 4
Abstract: This paper explains the role of remote sensing and geographic information systems in mapping the solar PV installations. This part of work also explains the sources needed for mapping the solar PV installations on land. Some of the models needed for automatic extraction of the PV systems were discussed in this paper. The basic algorithms needed for effective machine learning through training samples is explained in this part of literature. The role of open source GIS is important in the mapping of the solar installations. Keywords: Google Earth Engine, LANDSAT, Mapping, Open source GIS, Solar PV

  • Variation of Meteorological Parameters and their Influence on Tropospheric
Surface Radio Refractivity in Minna and Yola, Nigeria
    • Authors: Loretta Ogochukwu Onuorah, Agbo; G. A, Okoh, D
      Pages: 5 - 20
Abstract: The variation of meteorological parameters and their influence on tropospheric surface radio refractivity in Minna (middle belt) and Yola (north east), Nigeria was investigated. The results show that variation of each meteorological parameter (temperature, humidity and pressure) contributed to the diurnal and seasonal variations of tropospheric surface radio refractivity at Minna and Yola. The wet term of refractivity (Nwet) and dry term of refractivity (Ndry), contributed 24% and 76%, respectively at Minna and 23% and 77%, respectively at Yola. The regression model shows that there is strong positive correlation between refractivity and each meteorological parameter (humidity, temperature and pressure). The results revealed that humidity, temperature and pressure, respectively contributed approximately 89%, 84% and 55% of refractivity variation, in Minna and 93%, 92% and 54% of the refractivity variation in Yola.

  • SAR Radar: The Future of Radar Systems
    • Authors: Sudhir Singh
      Pages: 21 - 25
Abstract: The first radar was invented 110 years ago. In the meantime, implementations have become various and the device principles for accessible technologies have been adopted. Main examples include speed control, air traffic control and synthetic radar, airborne and space borne flights, military applications and remote sensing. Work on clinical radar technology is well underway for the identification of breast cancer and the localization of tumors. Automotive safety and autonomous driving radar has meanwhile been developed in millions each year. In the coming years, the state-of-the-art radar system designs will face almost a revolution. Despite major advances, radar system technology has not been developed in the last 20 years, such as communications or other technologies. A few years from now, some of these emerging developments will enter radar and revolutionize the principles of the radar system. This will allow for new radar technology and a radar process control method.

  • Universal Astrobiology on the Solar System Dwarf Planet Ceres: A Review
    • Authors: Sudhir Tripathi
      Pages: 26 - 31
Abstract: As the solar spacecraft closes in for its orbital popularity above Vesta at a safe mode altitude of approximately four hundred kilometers above Vesta's surface there exists two in all likelihood smaller asteroid satellites showed by using a HST picture taken of Vesta in 2006.These asteroids are demonstrated a second time in one of the photographs taken by using the dawn Spacecraft onboard cameras on July 09th, 2011. Every asteroid measures one and half of a kilometer to at least one - kilometer in length. But, the question is; it viable that these smaller asteroids ought to have posed a risk to the sunrise spacecraft' In that case, is it additionally feasible that other moon-like satellites ought to pose a difficulty for the sunrise Spacecraft while it makes its way to Ceres, wherein it can arrive sometime in the course of the summer of 2015' This paper proposes to answer this and different questions on this subject as nicely. But, these asteroids had been found using a brand new space exploration imaging era known as IMMI. That is the acronym for - (limitless - Microscopic –Macroscopic Imaging)' (See important footnote under). Wherein the dawn Spacecraft did now not look at nor was there preceding expertise of its lifestyles. Consequently, this paper is to make the clinical network conscious in both astronomy and astrophysics privy to what changed into no longer acknowledged when Vesta turned into investigated via the dawn Spacecraft and what it ought to additionally be aware of on it's the manner to Ceresin like manner.

  • Satellite Communication Network: A Review
    • Authors: Sudhir Singh
      Pages: 32 - 36
Abstract: Satellite networking is one of the most common communications technology of the next century for global communication networks in conjunction with terrestrial communication networks. Today's planet is a large network of global communications systems, the role of satellite networks in global communications is rising unparalleled. Television, mobile, radio, internet and military communications satellites are used. The invention of satellites revolutionizes connectivity worldwide. Other feathers in satellite communication applications are GPS Navigation, Global Telephony, Interactive Video and Internet Access, Earth Imaging by Remote Sensing Satellites for Resource Tracking, Telemedicine, Tele Education, etc. Satellite communication system has entered a transition from point-to - point, high-capacity transmission trunks to low-cost multipoint-to-multipoint connectivity. Satellite Communication has served humanity in many respects, e.g. forecasting weather, storm warning, offering a wide variety of television transmission services, digital data for a multitude of business services, and most recent telephony and mobile communications. It is not shocking that satellite communication links will be used in the near future for voice and fax transmission to aircraft on international routes. Keywords: Communication Satellites, Earth Observation Satellites, Navigational Satellites.Weather Forecasting Satellites
