  • Brain predomination and academic performance in the students of the
education faculty of the National University of Altiplano (UNA) -Puno

Abstract The he not very optimal level of performance and the lack of awareness about the predominance of the brain, within the teaching-learning process, was what motivated this study; The objective of which was to determine the relationship between brain dominance and academic performance of students from the UNA-Puno Faculty of Education Sciences, during the 2019-I semester. The descriptive-correlational design was used, framed in the non-experimental type of research and in the quantitative approach. The sample (stratified and proportional, based on the random method) was made up of 305 students; those that were evaluated with the instruments: Developer of the tricerebral quotient, to measure the cerebral predominance and the Documentary Record Card for academic performance. At the end of the investigation, it was identified that the predominant brain is the right, with a frequency that represents 52%. Likewise, the level of academic performance is good, with a frequency that represents 49%. This allowed obtaining as a result a value of r = 0.321, which corresponds to a moderate relationship between the variables, confirming the hypothesis. Thus, it is concluded that cerebral predominance and academic performance are moderately associated.

  • The challenges of proximity television in northern Chile: The case of the
           Coquimbo region

Abstract Television Proximity are broadcast media called to support the access of information and enhancement to territories, wich seeks to represent to the local audience in their contents, rescue their identity and offsetting information dependency exercised by national networks. The present work aims, to analyze the challenges of television proximity, in the Region of Coquimbo, northern part of Chile. Analyze its structure, operation and content production system, especially in a particular context of technological transition that the country is going through. After a survey revealed, the number of channels were on air at the time of the investigation, a mixed methodology was used, consisting of a documentary analysis and interviews with the producers and content managers of each channel, six media belonging to the one hundred percent of the universe - and then a questionnaire was applied to the production staff television channels. Among the results, it stands out the television proximity stations operate with a minimum of human and financial resources. They have no a totally support or is unattainable for most channels. The lack off advertising funding prevents improving the quality of the content, as well as its frequency. Despite of these difficulties and the limited support of government public policies, these media are essential to protect the culture, local identity and put on the agenda issues and problems that would otherwise not be addressed by central authorities.

  • Between anomy and inhumanity: Femicide cases in the Puno region - Peru

Abstract Violence against women is a problem that obeys patriarchal and macho hierarchical structures that are socially and culturally reproduced from generation to generation in the Puno region. The objectives of the study are focused on analyzing and explaining conditioning factors of the phenomenon of feminicide, as well as the motivations and beliefs that lead to committing the act of feminicide. The study method is quantitative in nature. The binary logistic regression model was used to estimate the probability of occurrence of the phenomenon, the empirical information was recovered from the MIDIS-CEM database and existing documentary analysis. The results found allow us to sustain that the cases of femicides that occur in our environment are related to the sociocultural construction of violence, motivated by individual, sociodemographic and structural factors, as well as the belief in the use of this violence as a resource for male control and domination. In addition, it is closely linked to the progress of women in the field of education and employment.

  • Development of selective attention through play in higher education
           students

Abstract The research is focused on the application of the "DIMAPA" Games, which are a set of dynamic, entertaining, motivating and guided activities, based on drawings, mandalas and words designed for the General and Applied Histology and Embryology course; being the main objective of the work to develop the selective attention of the students of Dentistry. This is an applied type investigation, with an explanatory level, an experimental study with a quasi-experimental design and a quantitative approach. The sample of the experimental group consisted of 13 students and the control by 11, on which the attention test d2 was applied; after which the “DIMAPA” games were applied to the experimental group in 30 learning sessions, distributed over 4 per week. After the intervention, the d2 attention test was applied again to our two formed groups and the data obtained was processed. In the analysis and interpretation of the results, it was shown that, according to the Student's t test, the students to whom the "DIMAPA", games were applied significantly increased the development of their selective attention, according to the three parameters evaluated (effectiveness total: p = 0.034, concentration: p = 0.023 and variation: p = 0.048), therefore we conclude that the games "DIMAPA" develop selective attention; For this reason, the proposed alternative hypothesis is accepted rejecting the null (p <0.05).

  • Delimiting the concept of Literacy: A proposal for a better understanding

Abstract The "informational" is not the equivalent of "literacy". The following article analyzes the concept of "literacy" from the disarticulation of what has been called "information literacy". We believe that the understanding and definition of "literacy" is important because we live in an era in which its use and application has been distorted to the degree of making it contradictory to its true meaning, a consequence of this, is the incorrect handling that is done hers by likening her to the "informational." Therefore, throughout the document, what “literacy” is and how it should be understood will be developed and exposed. The objective is to make the academic community aware of a conceptual proposal that can help a clearer and more organized study of this phenomenon, which is rooted in the educational area but with a presence in other academic disciplines, as well as in different settings and contexts in the field of knowledge.

narratives about political violence in the Aymara Nation - Peru

Abstract In the lines that come, as a target macro, attempts will be made to examine the political violence and claims of revolution by the actors of the Aymara Nation (NAM) as it encounters a profound impact caused by the seditious groups and the Peruvian state in the context of the dark decade of the 80s and 90s of the last century that remains a sequel to the collective memory of the victims. Considering the qualitative approach, in-depth interview and discourse analysis as a fundamental hermeneutic orientation, the perceptions of the 12 actors who were leaders in the fabric of violence are examined. The results show that the violation of Human Rights (HR) under repression, persecution and selective disappearances to the detriment of the Aymara population, creates tensions, fear, paranoia and the desire of revolution against insurgent groups and the same State that was once complicit in the genocide to the heart of the inhabitants of the NAM. In conclusion, only the opening of binding democratic channels between government and Aymara can redefine new spaces for transdisciplinary dialogues guarded by truth and imperative justice.
