  • The educational and administrative quality view from inside: case National
           University of Altiplano - Puno - Perú 2017

    • Abstract: La aplicación del modelo Servqual para la evaluación de calidad de servicio académico y administrativo en la Universidad Nacional del Altiplano, tiene como propósito identificar el nivel de calidad percibida por los usuarios. El objetivo fue identificar los atributos de los servicios académicos y administrativos que permiten validar la fiabilidad y consistencia interna para la evaluación del nivel de calidad y factores determinantes del servicio percibido; el método fue el diseño transversal correlacional. La muestra estaba conformada por estudiantes, docentes y administrativos de la UNA-P, de tipo aleatoria simple. El instrumento de medida fue el cuestionario Servqual de tipo escala Liker. Los Resultados muestran que la escala adaptada al modelo evidencia un alfa Cronbach de 0.709, significa que tanto el instrumento y los atributos es fiable y consistente para medir la calidad del servicio. El nivel de calidad percibida se ubica por debajo de los valores de expectativas, el ICS evaluado con el modelo Servqual es negativo, las puntuaciones por dimensiones alcanzan valores negativos, lo que indica que los usuarios esperaban un servicio mejor que lo recibido. En conclusión, los atributos de los servicios académicos y administrativos son fiables y consistentes para evaluar la calidad de servicio. Los factores identificados en el análisis condicionan directa y significativamente el nivel de calidad percibida.The application of Servqual model for the evaluation of academic and administrative quality of service at the Universidad Nacional del Altiplano, aims to identify the level of quality perceived by users. The objective was to identify the attributes of the academic and administrative services that allow to validate the reliability and internal consistency for the evaluation of level the quality and determining factors of the perceived service. The method was the correlational cross-sectional design. The sample consisted of students, teachers and administrators of the UNA-P, of simple random type. The instrument of measurement was the Servqual Questionnaire of type scale Liker, the results have been processed in the statistical program STATA 12. The results show that the scale adapted to the model shows a Cronbach alpha of 0.709 means that both the instrument and the attributes are reliable and consistent to measure the quality of the service. The level of perceived quality is below expectations, the ICS evaluated with the Servqual model is negative, the scores by dimensions reach negative values, indicating that the users expected a better service than received. In conclusion, the attributes of the academic and administrative services are reliable and consistent to evaluate the quality of service. The factors identified in the analysis directly and significantly condition the level of perceived quality
  • School students in the digital age: the media consumption of students in
           5th secondary public schools in Piura, Peru

    • Abstract: Actualmente se puede ver un gran impacto de las nuevas tecnologías de la comunicación y cómo esto ha revolucionado el consumo de medios en la vida cotidiana de las personas, sobretodo en un público joven, como son los escolares. La presente investigación se ha orientado a comprender el comportamiento frente a la navegación de Internet, determinando la frecuencia de conexión a Internet, el tipo de contenidos más consumidos y las redes sociales que más emplean los alumnos de quinto de secundaria de los colegios públicos de la región Piura, 2015. Para lo cual se utilizó el método cuantitativo y la técnica de encuesta, aplicada a una muestra de 465 estudiantes, de un total de 19 258, todos matriculados en colegios nacionales en el año académico 2015. Los resultados muestran que los estudiantes consideran Internet como una herramienta indispensable y necesaria en su vida, razón por la cual se conectan casi a diario, mayormente desde su celular, siendo Facebook su red social preferida y más utilizada, y los contenidos tecnológicos junto con las series y películas, los más consumidosNowadays, there is a great impact of new communication technologies and this has revolutionized the way media is consume in the daily life of people, especially in a young public, as school students. The present research aimed to understand the behavior in front of Internet browsing, determining the frequency of Internet connection, the type of most consumed content and the most used social network by the fifth grade high school students from public schools in the region of Piura, 2015. For this purpose, the quantitative method and the survey technic were applied to a sample of 465 students out of a total of 19 258, all enrolled in public schools in the academic year 2015. The results show that the students consider Internet as an indispensable and necessary tool in their lives, reason why they connect to Internet mostly daily, mainly from their cellphones, being Facebook their preferred and most used social network, and the technological contents along with the series and films, the most consumed
  • Perception of the quality of services provided by the Military University
           of Granada based on the Servqualing scale, with factorial analysis and
           multiple regression

    • Abstract: El presente artículo está encaminado a mostrar los resultados del análisis de la percepción que poseen los estudiantes sobre la calidad del servicio recibido del Programa de Ingeniería Industrial de la Universidad Militar Nueva Granada. El objetivo fue validar el instrumento SERVQUALing para medir el impacto que poseen las variables establecidas que afectan la calidad de los servicios en dicha institución. El estudio es de tipo cuantitativo, se empleó muestreo no probabilístico y se aplicó la técnica de encuesta para el levantamiento de la información, las que fueron analizadas mediante estadística multivariante, con evaluación de factores y análisis de regresión múltiple; que arrojó como resultado que la mayor parte del cuerpo estudiantil se siente conforme con los servicios que les son brindados en el Programa de Ingeniería Industria. Evidenciando que este estudio de percepción permite obtener conclusiones relevantes que contribuyen a diseñar e implementar líneas de mejora en las actuales estrategias de calidad de educación universitaria, que puedan emplearse como modelo en otras universidades de BogotáThe present article is routed to show the results of the analysis of the perception that the students possess on the quality of the service received of the Program of Industrial Engineering of the Military University New Granada (UMNG). The aim was to validate the instrument SERVQUALing (based on the theoretical model SERVQUAL) this way to measure the impact that there possess the established variables, which affect the quality of the services in the UMNG. The study is of quantitative type, sampling was used not probabilistic and the technology of survey was applied for the raising of the information. The results of the study were analyzed by means of statistical multivariant, with evaluation of factors and analysis of multiple regression; demonstrating of empirical form that this study of perception allows to obtain relevant conclusions that help to design and implement lines of improvement in the current strategies of quality of university education, which, could be used as model in other universities of Bogota. For future research, it is suggested to use applied scale, it is reliable and valid to evaluate the quality perceived by the students, which resulted in that most of the student body feels satisfied with the services that are provided by the UMNG in the Program of Industrial engineer.
  • Limiting regulations in professional practice: the study of journalist´s
           situation in Chile, México, Ecuador and Colombia

    • Abstract: El presente artículo pretende determinar la percepción de los periodistas de cuatro países latinoamericanos (Chile, México, Ecuador y Colombia) sobre la formación universitaria y su nivel de satisfacción con dicho proceso, incluyendo aspectos técnicos, teóricos y prácticos. Se realizaron 160 consultas a periodistas activos en cada uno de los subgrupos (40 por país y 10 en cada soporte: prensa escrita, radio, televisión, cibermedios). La herramienta metodológica fue la entrevista semiestructurada y se centró en extraer resultados desde dos perspectivas: una de respuesta espontánea para indagar en la presencia de diez condicionantes pre-definidas que marcan la labor periodística, aunque para el presente informe se han considerado sólo las condicionantes de corte formativo. En segundo lugar, se realizó un análisis mediante respuesta sugerida, para profundizar en aspectos concretos. El gran aporte de este estudio es evidenciar el relato directo respecto de las insolvencias que observaron en su proceso formativo y el contraste que pueden hacer los sujetos desde la trinchera profesional. Aunque el peso otorgado a la formación académica en el desarrollo de un periodismo de calidad varía según el país, los periodistas coinciden en una serie de falencias en sus sistemas educativos que hacen necesaria una revisión y eventual reformulaciónThis article determine the journalists perception in four Latin American countries (Chile, Mexico, Ecuador and Colombia) about university education and their level of satisfaction with this process, including technical, theoretical and practical aspects. 160 interviews were held for active journalists of the subgroups (40 per country and 10 on each media: newspapers, radio, television, cybermedia). The methodological method was the semi-structured interview and focused on extracting results from two perspectives: a spontaneous response to investigate the presence of ten pre-defined conditions that mark the journalistic work, although for the present report only the formative conditioning factors. Secondly, the análisis was conducted through a suggested response, to delve into specific aspects. The study´s contribution is to show the direct story regarding the insolvencies observed in the formative process and the contrast that the subjects can make from the professional trench. Although the situation and opinion to academic training in the quality journalism varies by country, journalists coincide in a series of shortcomings in educational systems that require a revision and eventual reformulation
  • The seven habits of children with high academic performance in Puno:
           analysis from the context and type of management

    • Abstract: La región Puno es poseedora de niños que saben obtener altas calificaciones, como Daniel Soncco, primer lugar en la XVII Olimpiada de Matemática en Argentina, contrario a datos como el que Perú quedó en último lugar en la evaluación internacional PISA 2012. En ese marco, el objetivo del presente fue identificar los siete hábitos de los niños con alto rendimiento académico de Puno en el 2016 y analizarlos desde las variables contexto geográfico y tipo de gestión, obedeciendo a una investigación descriptiva-diagnóstica, en una muestra de 105 niños de un total de 263 del quinto grado de educación primaria de la provincia de Puno-Perú.- Luego de recogida la información con el uso de la Guía de Entrevista, se concluye que la lectura en casa, el acompañamiento familiar, la sana alimentación, la educación preescolar, el hábito de estudio, el hábito de hablar dos idiomas y, el descanso y sueño, son los siete hábitos más asociados al éxito académico en los niños, y estos pueden variar dependiendo del contexto y tipo de gestiónThe Puno region possesses children who know how to obtain high marks, such as Daniel Soncco, first place in the XVII Olympiad of Mathematics in Argentina, contrary to data such as that Peru was last in the international evaluation PISA 2012. After collecting the information, with the use of the Interview Guide, it is concluded that reading at home, family support, healthy eating, preschool education, study habits, the habit of speaking two languages and, Rest and sleep are the seven habits most associated with academic success in children, and these may vary depending on the context and type of management
  • Analysis on the differences of perception of the organizational culture in
           institutions of higher education of the south of Sonora

    • Abstract: El enfoque estratégico, ha permitido la búsqueda de ventajas competitivas a través de los recursos intangibles. Es así, que la cultura organizacional se ha visto como componente clave en el éxito y desarrollo de la organización. Un factor estratégico en la construcción de la cultura organizacional, se debe a la interacción entre los empleados y la percepción que éstos tengan de su organización. Por tanto, se tiene como principal objetivo realizar un análisis de la percepción sobre la cultura organizacional en Instituciones de Educación Superior del sur de Sonora, mediante una investigación de tipo cuantitativa, con diseño no experimental y corte descriptivo-comparativo, a partir de una muestra de 276 empleados de IES. Mediante la prueba T de student de muestras independientes, se encontraron diferencias significativas entre los empleados de las IES del sur de Sonora; por otra parte, a través de ANOVA de un factor, se halló que existen diferencias significativas en la percepción de la cultura organizacional entre las distintas IES del sur de Sonora. Los hallazgos encontrados, permiten reconocer la coexistencia de cuatro tipos de culturas, así como diferencias significativas en la percepción de los empleados de acuerdo al rol que llevan a caboThe strategic view, has allowed search competitive advantages through intangible resources. The main objective of this study is to analyze the perceptions about organizational culture in higher education institutions in the south of Sonora, using a quantitative approach, with a non-experimental design and descriptive-comparative cut, based on a sample of 276 employees.
