  • Lesson Learned from the Consumer Protection Operations by the Network of
           Bawal-Ral (Home, Temple, School and Hospital), Lampang Province.

      Abstract: Consumer protection operations operated by the network of Bawal-Ral (Home,Temple, School and Hospital) which the group of people in the target area. Lampang province is the representative in the northern region that started a pilot project that name’s Healthy community in Na Kuam Neau community. In 2019, expanding the target area to Ban Pa Hiang community, Sop Tui, Chom Poo zone, and 13 communities from all district representative included to 28 communities, by aiming to develop the potential of consumer protection operations to be strong. The research was a qualitative research that the aim of this research were to 1) Lesson Learned from the consumer protection operated by the network of Bawal-ral in case of the results of operations. 2) The value of consumer protection operated by the network of Bawal-ral in Lampang province. The participants were selected by purposive sampling and consisted of the representatives from communities, temples, schools, hospitals, local administrative organizations, Mueang Lampang district health office and Lampang provincial health office 30 peoples. The research instrument were in-depth interviews, Participation Observation and after action review (AAR) by analyzing qualitative data with content analysis.             The results of the study showed that 1) The community had knowledge in the use of health products, food products and medicine correctly, able to protect the rights of consumers by themselves, including complaints in the event of the unsafe products passage through the leader of village health volunteer in community, checking the product label number in website or application of the food and drug administration in mobile phone. Detecting steroids contaminated in traditional medicine, food supplements by the initial test kit. 2) Values of consumer protection operations by the network of Bawal-ral in Lampang province such as 2.1) People in the community can transfer knowledge and experiences in consumer protection in the community through meetings, expansion training and home visits.  2.2) The creation of a strong community network, both in and outside the community, namely local administrative organizations and government agencies for supporting budgets. 2.3) Creating the healthy environment  such as adjusting healthy menus, reducing sweetness, fat and salty from entrepreneurs selling cooked food, processed foods, coffee shops, grocery stores in the community and promoting the selection of products with healthier choices.           Suggestions: should be extended to create a strong network and creating the environment in the community to be a Learning sources and further innovation for health and correct consumptions such as a community complaint center, a community group line in order to expand the results to the next phase of operation. Keywords: Consumer protection works, The network of Bawalral dot Ral, Community networks.

  • The Effectiveness of Programs to Educate, to Modify the Behavior of
           Patients with Diabetes, Chronic Kidney Disease Stages 3-4 Mae-Moh
           Hospital, Lampang Province

      Abstract: Abstract          The purpose of this quasi-experimental research (pre-post test control group design) was to study the effectiveness of programs to educate, to modify the behavior of patients with diabetes, chronic kidney disease stages 3-4 Mae-Moh hospital, Lampang province. The subjects were persons with patients with diabetes, chronic kidney disease stages 3-4 Mae-Moh hospital. Seventeen subjects were simple random assigned to the experimental group and seventeen subjects were assigned to the control group. The programs to educate to modify the behavior of patients with diabetes, chronic kidney disease stages 3-4. Four group activities were conducted at weeks 1, 3, 9, and 12.   Moreover, two telephone calls were held at weeks 5, and 11. Four group activities composed of 1) food consumption behaviors’ assessment, 2) nutritional self-management training and reinforcement 3) reviewing nutritional self-management and reinforcement and 4) summarizing, the control group received nursing care as usual. The instruments consisting of 1) The instrument used for collecting including part 1 the personal data questionnaire, part 2 food consumption behavior questionnaires and part 3 Knowledge measurement model of kidney disease patients. 2) The instrument used in the experiment consisted of the program to educate patients with chronic kidney disease. The statistics used in data analysis were descriptive statistics, frequency distribution, percentage, mean, standard deviation, independent t-test and Paired-Samples t-test.         The results revealed that 1) The experimental group had significantly higher mean scores of knowledge and food consumption behavior than those in control group (p<.001) 2) After experiment, the experimental group had significantly higher mean scores of knowledge and food consumption behavior than before in experiment (p<.001).         The finding of this study can be used promote the development of professional nurses ability to educate patients about self-care of patients with chronic kidney disease, stage 3 - 4, to enable patients to understand and be able to change self-care behaviors.

  • Fast Food Consumption Behavior of Teenage Student in Urban Area, Chumphon
           Province

      Abstract: The purpose of this study was to study fast food consumption behavior of teenage student in urban area, Chumphon province. The sample group were 188 students studying in Vocational Certificate 1-3 chosen by Probability sampling from 355 students in Vocational Certificate 1-3. The Tools of this study were Questionnaire and In-depth interview. The quantitative data was analyzed by using Statistic, Percentage, Mean, Standard Deviation, T-test, One-way ANOVA, Peason’s Correlation Coefficient.           The study results revealed that: Most of the sample were male, 16 years old, Vocational Certificate 1, They had nutritional status in general and they were received the expenditure from parents about 401 - 500 baht per week.         Their parents had knowledge in high level . Value, and Western-style fast food consumption behavior in moderate level.           The different comparison found that nutrition status of the sample were the variables creating the significant difference in consumption behavior at p-value < 0.01 and there was no difference between other variables with Western-style fast food consumption behavior.           From Correlation Coefficient, the knowledge about Western-style fast food consumption, way of life about consumption and Western-style fast food consumption value significantly had the relation with Western-style fast food consumption behavior at p-value < 0.01.

  • Developmental of Life Style Modification Promoting Program toward Blood
           Sugar Level among Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus Patients

      Abstract: This research and development study aim to study the health practice behaviors and the blood sugar control ability among type 2 diabetes mellitus patients at Baan Houy Som, Sub-district health promotion hospital. Then develop program and explore the feasibility of blood sugar control ability program. The samples were separated according to the phase of study which were factors explore and develop program phase the samples were 40 type 2diabetes mellitus patients which separated into two group; group 1 was patients who could be controlled blood glucose levels and group 2 was uncontrolled blood glucose levels.The phase to explore the feasibility of program the samples were 10 type 2 diabetes mellitus patients. The tools were composed of the demographic data record form and the blood sugar controlled behavior’s questionnaire.Descriptive statistics and inferential statistics (Fisher's exact test and t-test statistics) were used for data analyses.           The results revealed that patient who could be controlled sugar levels had highest level of food and drug consuming behavior with mean score of 26 (SD=4.08) and 12.6 (SD=2.35), respectively which were higher than the group who uncontrolled blood sugar with showed moderate food and drug consuming mean score about 23.4(SD=5.14) and 12.2 (SD=2.18) with non-statistical significance. The exercise practice in the groups of controlled blood sugar level is moderate level with average score of 8.65(SD=2.91). The uncontrolled sugar levels group is the lowest level average =8.1(SD=3.14) but have no statistical significance. For vices behavior and emotional are moderately level with similar in the two groups.The program to promote ability behaviors to blood sugar controlled composed of home visit activity and drug compliance box innovation. The feasibility result showed that 70% (7/10) of DM patients can lowering blood sugar, 30% were as previous level with no complication. The encourage behavior modification program can be applied for diabetic patients to control glucose levels and prevent complications.

  • Effectiveness of Development Emotional Quotient and Reinforce Positive to
           Improve Discipline in Early Childhood Programs base on Family
           Participation in Pua District, Nan Province

      Abstract:      The quasi-experimental research aimed to study the effectiveness of development emotional quotient and reinforce positive to improve discipline in early childhood programs base on family participation in Pua district, Nan province. The sample were 157 couple of parent and early childhood selected by simple random sampling. The research instruments consisted of 1) Emotional quotient and reinforce positive to improve discipline in early childhood programs base on family participation. The activities 4 times duration of the program was 16 weeks as follows: 1.1) developing relationships 1.2) reinforcement positive discipline 1.3) create child's intelligence no.1 and 1.4) create child's intelligence no.2.  2) A questionnaire consist of general information, knowledge & skills and behaviors of improve emotional quotient and reinforce positive discipline in parent and 3) EQ assessment form. Data were analyzed by descriptive statistics and t-test dependent         The results revealed that: 1) Knowledge and skills of the parents after enrolling the program was significantly higher than before enrolling at. 05 level  ( = 50.41, S.D. = 3.242)       2) Behaviors toward reinforcing positive in childhood students of the parents after enrolling the program was significantly higher than before enrolling at. 05 level ( = 122.17, S.D. = 4.103)        3) Emotional quotient of early childhood students after enrolling the program was significantly higher than before enrolling at.05 level ( = 14.48, S.D. = 1.066) respectively.
