  • READING, MEMORY AND EXPRESSION IN CARLOS COCINAS PLAGIO DEL
           AFECTO

Abstract: In this work we explore relationships between the personal and the impersonal through the figure of the reader and a subject characterized by desires and frustrations. Analyzing a series of affects, we propose that the appropriation of scientific texts works as a form of extimity. Cociña elaborates a poetic in which plagiarism responds to the need of breaking an immediate relationship between memory and expression. This way, Cociña blurs essencialist ways of belonging, articulating new relationships between community and subjectivity.

  • ENRIQUE VERÁSTEGUI Y JUAN CAMERON: REWRITING EXERCISES

Abstract: From the rewriting as a dialogical-relational resource of textual production, this article focuses on two poetic texts of the Chilean and Peruvian cultural field published between 1971 and 2000, with the purpose of analyzing how this resource implies a stylization operation in them which allows updating, resignifying it, an earlier text, model or source, such as reflecting on the political and ideological scope of the word.

  • VALPARAÍSO IN ASHES: CRISIS OF REPRESENTATION IN THE NARRATIVE OF
           JACOBO DANKE

For this purpose, we study how Jacobo Danke's narrative, published in the 1930s, puts in crisis the traditional representation of the city. Using theoretical resources from the literary theory, anthropology, philosophy and history, we demonstrate that emerges an "anarchic city" from Danke's narrative. The latter is characterized by disorder, dissent and hostility that mark the opening of Valparaíso's extensive cycle of decadence in the twentieth century.

  • TUÑÓN AGAINST BORGES: THE DIVISION OF THE ANTI-PERONIST CAMP IN THE
           SECOND HALF OF THE 1950S

The objective of this paper is to locate, based on some specific assertions about the Peronism that Tuñón makes in the interview that he maintains in 1973 with Horacio Salas, the distance that the poet sets out with respect to the Borges' anti-Peronist positions and other political representatives of the Argentine liberalism. It's interesting to review the various arguments -political, literary, aesthetic- that maintain the opposition to Peronism in Tuñón and Borges, according to these arguments put to work a conception of "people" distant, different and even opposite that separates and makes irreconcilable their intellectual positions before the Peronism. As well, is located the Tuñón's position of Peronism within the time frame of the new debates around Peronism that are opened after its fall in 1955.

  • LA NOVELA DE PERÓN, NEW JOURNALISM AND TRUE FICTION

Abstract: La Novela de Perón has been widely studied regarding the relationship it presents around the relation between fiction and non fiction, monothema that has generally focused on its possible link with the so-called "New Journalism". This work explores the beginnings of this journalistic tendency, which actually lies in Latin America, rather than in the United States, broadens that discussion and explains the four elements that impregnates Martinez's fictional work, which he qualified within the category of "true fictions", concluding that this book has nothing to do with journalism.

  • RESISTANCE AND FREEDOM: A READING OF "LAS COSAS QUE PERDIMOS EN EL FUEGO"
BY MARIANA ENRÍQUEZ FROM THE PERSPECTIVES OF FOUCAULT AND DE BEAUVOIR

Abstract: In this work I analyze the aspect of the female resistance that is present in "Las cosas que perdimos en el fuego" by Mariana Enriquez from the perspectives of Michel Foucault and Simone de Beauvoir. The first author states that, usually, rebellious expressions are in bottom allowed and controlled by an official order. Therefore, they would be actually reasserting the order they pretend to get emancipated from. On the other hand, De Beauvoir affirms that, in a patriarchal system, the liberating choices offered to women are delusional because they arise from a masculine logic. Based on these proposals, I intent to observe to what extent the actions of the women in this story are in opposition to the dominant system and help them to transcend their situation. Additionally, I draw a parallel between what happens in the literary text and what happens in the context that surrounds it, given that Mariana Enriquez' texts are, according to herself, political texts.

  • VILLAESPESA IN PERÚ: THE PLAY AND THE PREMIERE OF EL SOL DE
           AYACUCHO

Abstract: Francisco Villaespesa's literary career in Spain is well known, but not his stay in America (1917-1931).
