Sintomas de fadiga e depressão pós-AVC influenciaram na autopercepção negativa durante a avaliação : The frequency of symptoms of depression and its influence on cognitive performance after stroke were analyzed. A total of 60 adults (M = 64.43, SD = 12.42 years) were evaluated from 102 to 283 days post-stroke (M = 140.65, SD = 28.01). Cognitive Screening to Stroke (Triagem Cognitiva nas Doenças Cerebrovasculares - TRIACOG), Rey-Osterrieth Complex Figure, Digits, Rey Verbal, FAS, Five Digit Test and Beck Depression Inventory II (BDI-II) were administered. Approximately 42% of the participants presented symptoms of post-stroke depression, with a higher frequency of Lack of energy, Change in sleeping pattern, Tiredness or fatigue, and Loss of interest in sex. There was a significative association among neuropsychological tasks and somatic items of BDI-II. Symptoms of depression and severity of the clinical neurological status explained between 22% and 33% of performance in memory, attention, and speed of processing. Symptoms of fatigue and post-stroke depression influenced negatively self-perception during the neuropsychological evaluation

    • Abstract: : This research aimed to verify the daily intraindividual and interindividual variations of work engagement and to investigate the predictors of this phenomenon and of the role performance at work, as well as the mediating role of engagement in the relationship between these predictors and performance. The sample consisted of 116 workers of both sexes (71.9% female). Through multilevel modelling, it could be identified that role ambiguity constituted a significant and negative predictor of engagement and performance, while participation in decision-making was characterized as a positive predictive variable of both constructs. The task complexity, in turn, proved to be a negative predictor of performance. Contrary to expectations, engagement did not show intra-individual variations.

Research focuses on studying sexing among adolescents, leaving out familiar aspects. In Brazil, such studies are still scarce. Therefore, the purpose of this qualitative and descriptive research was to know the perception of parents of adolescents about sexting. There are two focus groups with parents in a public school. After content analysis, the results revealed that the participants were aware of the sexting, but did not know how to deal with the involvement of the children. The biggest concern was with exposure, rather than with engaging in sexting. The importance of family communication is highlighted. It is proposed that interventions be designed to improve communication between family subsystems and research with adolescents to investigate how they understand and deal with the phenomenonResumo: Sexting é o comportamento de produzir e enviar ou receber conteúdo sexual.

Los temas que generaron mayor rechazo absoluto en los terapeutas fueron los torturadores, abusadores, asesinos y criminales : Although the therapeutic model is relevant in order to provide theoretical constructions that allow conceiving human problems from a particular perspective, its practical application goes through the sieve of the personal characteristics of the therapist and the particularities of the context where the model is exercised. Thus, beliefs, values, history, personality traits of the therapist modify the model, in the same way as the attention in a private practice or public hospital or the characteristics or themes of the patient. Therefore, beyond the model, it is important to talk about the "therapeutic style". Within the personal limitations that modify the model are certain patient characteristics and subjects that disturb the therapist in his free exercise. The aim of this work is to explore what are the issues (stories and problems) and the characteristics (personality traits and pathology) of the patients that generate rejection of Argentine psychotherapists (psychologists and psychiatrists), taking into account other variables such as years of professional exercise, attention area, gender and therapeutic model. A transversal and descriptive-correlational study was carried out through surveys. The main results were that the subjects that generated absolute rejection in the therapists were the torturers, abusers, murderers and criminals

: The current study aimed at investigating the relationship between marital and parental conflict resolution tactics, as reported by mothers and fathers of families with children aged from 4 to 6 years old. A community-based sample from South Brazil of 300 participants (150 women and 150 men), constituting heterosexual couples, answered the following instruments: Sociodemographic Questionnaire, Revised Conflict Tactics Scales (CTS2) and Parent-Child Conflict Tactics Scales (CTSPC). Through statistical analysis involving a set of MANOVAS, it was found that the combined parental conflict resolution tactics of Non-Violent Discipline, Psychological Aggression and Corporal Punishment successfully differed the groups of mothers and fathers regarding the practices of Negotiation, Psychological Aggression and Physical Violence in marital relationship. The results refer to the spillover effect, indicating that the tension of the couple’s conflictive interactions overflows to the parental relationship

The objective of this study is to undertake a systematic review of the academic production and theses of a Graduate Program in Educational Psychology in the research area "Educational Processes in the Social and Political Context" of an Educational Center in the State of São Paulo, Brazil. The research was carried out using the databases of the portal of the Program and the portal of Capes - Catalog of Theses and Dissertations, from 2008 to 2016. 143 studies were encountered and 56 were selected for analysis of the proposed research area. In this way, we elaborated an overview of the research carried out with respect to the number of productions, topics, subtopics, keywords and theoretical-methodological contributions. The realization of this systematic review allowed for a panorama that determined that the majority of academic studies in the educational field are anchored in cultural-historical theory and social representations. We observed a hegemony of qualitative research, with references to Educational Psychology and human development, but no discussion of inequalities in education with respect to ethnic-racial issues

With the development of new technologies in the field of psychotherapy comes the need for valid and reliable tests that allow us to research the presence of symptoms in an online format. The aim of the following paper was to develop a scale to be used in the virtual format, which allows us to measure symptomatology for anxiety, depression, interpersonal relationships and psychoticism. 550 adults participated, who answered an online questionnaire that included four dimensions (anxiety, depression, interpersonal relationships, psychoticism). Results shows an adequate internal consistency and construct validity for the four dimensions tested. Also, for the external validity significant relationships were found whit the OQ-45 and SA-45. The test we constructed seems to be a valid tool for psychotherapeutic use. However, it is necessary to continue analyzing its psychometrics, taking into account patients who have the specific diagnoses evaluated by the test.

Además, se obtuvo evidencia favorable de validez convergente : The aim of this article is to analyze the psychometric properties of the scale of Blatant and Subtle Prejudice, developed originally by Pettigrew and Meertens (1995), in the Argentine context. This scale has five dimensions: two that evaluate blatant aspects and three that measure subtle aspects of prejudice. We took self-selected non-probabilistic sample of 856 tertiary and university students from the cities of Córdoba (N= 253), Buenos Aires (N= 193), Salta (N= 200) and Neuquén (N= 210). A confirmatory analysis was performed in order to access the scale structure and the Cronbach's Alpha coefficient was estimated to evaluate internal consistency. We also performed a convergent test through a correlation analysis between our scale and two variables whose correlation to prejudice was previously proven. The results supported the five dimensions structure proposed by the original authors, with 18 items and satisfactory internal consistency and validity indicators. In addition, favorable evidence of convergent validity was obtained

In the present study, we aimed to verify the differential functioning (DIF) of an entrepreneurial intention scale (EIQBr-b) in students of humanities (n = 50), social sciences (n = 50), health (n = 47) and exact sciences (n = 50). We used Rasch-Rating-Scale-Score Model and analyzed DIF by the Mantel-Haenszel method for polytomous items. We found that students of social sciences presented less difficulty in the items that emphasized the planned proposition of their own company. The items related to self-determination and career did not present DIF between the different areas. For that reason, it is necessary to plan, develop and improve the actions of education and professional orientation for entrepreneurship, considering particularities among the areas of knowledge that differentiate the manifestation of entrepreneurial intention among the groups

This research analyses the cyberbullying phenomenon and its relationship with perceived stress of high school students. The study applies the Perceived Stress Scale called “The Cyberbullying Questionnaire” (CBQ) developed by Cohen and its complement the Cyberbullying- Victimisation Questionnaire (CBQ-V) on a sample of 1002 high school students. It is found that this phenomenon is prevalent among such students since 45% of the subjects have reported being victims of bullying and 69% displayed perpetration behaviour. Furthermore, it is found that perceived stress and cyberbullying in both cases victims and aggressors are related since the greater the level of cyberbullying involvement the more perceived stress there is

  • Psychology and curricular emphases education

This research mapped the curricular emphases in the Psychology Courses of Rio Grande do Norte/Brazil and discussed the concentration of studies and its impacts on the training of graduates. Lately, the Psychology education in the country has undergone transformations and it’s necessary to investigate their processes. Supported by the historical-cultural psychology, we contextualized the research; exposed the theoretical assumptions; discussed about the Psychology education in Brazil and RN. Methodologically, data were collected by qualitative research and theoretical studies. The information was analyzed in groups based on historical-cultural psychology. We discussed about the rising number of courses and the predominance of emphases which can educate for the population’s needs distanced practices. We concluded by highlighting the antagonisms of the emphases: they allow an education which can surpass traditional acting areas, but these abilities may solidify the interventions centering on the individual, forgetting the historicity and class struggle in society
