  • Il gregoriano tedesco. Fede e sentimento in Lutero

    • Authors: Tiziana Pangrazi
      Pages: 55 - 79
The article examines Luther’s action to reform the field of music. Particular attention is paid to the relationship between faith and feeling. Through reorganization of latin mass, unlike the Roman liturgy which entrusted to a chorus of praise to God, the action of Luther gave birth to a choral practice now in German. Outside and inside the liturgy, the singing was direct expression of the faith of the people. Strictly on the musical plan, the Lutheran devotional song, the choral or better Lied, born on the forms and the texts of pre-existing Gregorian chant. So pervasive was Luther’s musical revolution that we can rightly speak of German Gregorian, the mark of modern German nation, but also of a deep laceration inside Christianity. At the end of the XVIIIth century, this will be one of the reproaches that Novalis will move to Luther.

  • Rosacroce e Riforma nell'arte dell'oblio di Adam Brux

    • Authors: Pierluigi Panza
      Pages: 81 - 107

      ENGLISH ABSTRACT
Adam Brux (1576c - after 1632), German physician, philosopher and alchemist, was the so-called "inventor of obliviousness" for his text Simonides redivivus... (1610), which, in addition to the Art of memory, contains the Art of the obliviousness. Author almost entirely unknown, though the analysis of his texts it is possible to highlight the connection between the mystifying streams of Lutheran theology (like that of the Rosicrucians) and the theme of memory.
If the reformed believer had to relate to God only through the "holy writings" without Church mediation, learning and memory became fundamental tools for understanding the Bible, which is the first book of the Art of memory. But it is the memory, a faculty born in the individual after the Fall from Paradise, that, according to Brux, must find a control instrument in order to cancel or expel what is not necessary. The instrument to cancel the acts done in the past is, for Catholics, the sacrament of Confession; but for Protestants' By approaching Rosicrucian mysticism and with full knowledge of the Paracelsus medicine, Brux develops alchemical cleansers and arts of oblivion as tools to achieve this goal: fighting constipation and melancholy to expel excesses of accumulations and encourage new lives. Because “only the seed that is thrown on the ground and dies generates new life”, as St. Paul wrote to the Corinthians.

      DEUTSCHE ABSTRAKT

  • Aquinas’ Theory of Knowledge and the Representative Theory of
           Perception

    • Authors: Ali Abedi Renani
      Pages: 109 - 126
Abstract: The representative theory of perception is one of the realist theories of perception which maintains we do not have direct access to the objects of perception; our ideas represent some objective objects in the world. In this paper, I will address the question about the representative nature of mental ideas from a Thomistic perspective. I will explore if some Thomists are entitled to claim that Aquinas’ theory of knowledge based on his metaphysics can provide a basis for resolving this issue. I will argue that this question is wrong-headed and it should be replaced with the following question: If we assume the existence of a real world and that we are not under the influence of hallucination, how we can know that our ideas truly represent the world'

  • Negatività, trascendenza, utopia. La dialettica dell'opera
d'arte nella Teoria estetica di Adorno

    • Authors: Francesco Scutari
      Pages: 127 - 165

BETWEEN ONTOLOGY AND EDUCATION  FOR "A HEAD WELL DONE": NOTES ON “PANGNOSE” / “PANGLOSSE”.It is increasingly palpable that the Philosophy of Education needs to re-actualize the present Weltanschauung, that is, the conception of the world, of life, and the role that the Man plays in the Universe. Reconsidering them, especially for the new generations, about the "Knowledge" in his dilemmas, tensions and complexity. The paper examines a metaphysical problem, inspired by epistemological considerations of Serres, applied to ontological and ethical perspectives. These represent the  most relevant issues for the human condition in late modernity, in order to indicate possible new paths for 'ethically inhabiting the Earth'. The following analysys deals with the suggestion of the 'head well done', presented in the famous prospect of Montaigne for teachers, which is based on the reinterpretations of both Morin and Serres. Both Morin, in “the seven knowledge necessary for the education of the future”, and Serres, just to outline a true universal philosophical glossary, achieve this purpose, reconsidering Knowledge, according to its dilemmas, tensions and complex goals. This article will develop the serresian terms of “Panglosse”, according to all possible languages and “Pangnose”, as resulting generalization and dissemination of knowledge. The main aim of Morin' philosophy of education is to make us learn how to judge social facts, not according to preconceived opinions, but to the a-priori, historical, pillars of wisdom, which are the scope of ontological foundation, as well as logical, epistemological and above all, ethical training.
