  • IbM-Kelompok Yasinan Dusun Tangar: Deteksi Dini Faktor Risiko Penyakit

      Abstract: The Community empowerment Program aims to improve the early awareness of cardiovascular disease (heart and strok) attacks on yasinan religious groups in Tangar, Jenangan sub-district, Ponorogo regency. Design to achieve these objectives with yasinan group empowerment program with two activities (1) provide health education to all group members and (2) Training of examination skills Blood Pressure, Blood Sugar, Cholesterol and First Aid in Emergency Heart and strok.. Target group program yasinan Tangar Jenangan, Ponorogo. Health education activities were held twice yasinan group meetings and training activities held 1 day. The yasinan group sends 10 people as representatives. The success of community service programs is assessed on the basis of increased knowledge values, passing the first emergency relief skills test and the realization of commitment in the form of a commitment statement. The first program form of training was held on July 31, 2017 with the following results: The training was attended by 10 members of the yasinan group. Training to improve knowledge and skills of early detection of risk factors for heart disease and strok (P = 0.000) Of the 10 participants 8 of them successfully passed the first aid skill test in an accident. Week 3 realizes the group's commitment to early detection of cardiovascular disease risk factors independently. These results illustrate the approach of effective religious groups to increase aware of cardiovascular disease attacks.

  • Mendorong Partisipasi Bina Keluarga Lansia (BKL) dalam Mewujudkan Tujuh
           Dimensi Lansia Tangguh di Desa Sumbersari, Moyudan, Sleman

      Abstract: Bina Keluarga Lansia (BKL) is one of the government programs to empower the elderly and their families. Through this program the elderly are expected to apply 7 dimensi lansia tangguh so that the elderly are physically, emotionally, spiritually, intellectually, socially, professionally vocational and environmentally empowered. The existence of BKL is needed in every hamlet. However, in Sumbersari Village, Moyudan, Sleman, out of five BKLs already established, only one BKL, BKL Mugi Waras, with a paripurna status that applied 7 dimensi lansia tangguh in its activities. Therefore, the community service program of the development of the targeted village aims to replicate BKL Mugi Waras to other BKL which have basic status. The activity used for community service were socialization and education in various training for strengthening BKL institutionally. The program has shown positive impacts on understanding managing BKL and applying 7 dimensi lansia tangguh on its activities.

  • Perbaikan Manajemen Pemeliharaan dalam Rangka Mendukung Pembibitan Kambing
           Kacang bagi Warga di Kecamatan Bone Pantai Kabupaten Bone Bolango

      Abstract: The purpose of this Community Service Program is to provide knowledges and skills for the community in Bone Pantai Sub district about the goat raising to support the animal breeding program by improving the maintenance management. This activities have been implemented on the livestock herders of Kacang goat which is located in Lembah Hijau Village and Tolotio Village, Bone Pantai Sub District, Bone Bolango Distric. The method used in conducting the community empowerment is giving the teory and simulation upon the community members and continuing with practice directly in the field. Program activities that have been implemented are: the goat house making, goats selection, silage making, feeding, injection prostaglandin F2α (PGF2α), prevention and treatment of the sick goats, and organic fertilizer making. Based on the result and discussion, it is concluded that the program of kacang goat breeding is an important step in order to maintain its purity and sustainability. The support program activities that can be done are: management improvement of the maintenance and housing, selection of prospective does and bucks, appropriate feeding as the the goats need, application of reproductive technology by modification of the hormonal system, prevention and treatment of the disease routinely, and recycling the manure into organic fertilizer. To make the programs sustainable, it is necessary to build communication network between the farmers and government and the industry so that the products of kacang goat breeding programs can be marketed and provide economic value for the community in Kecamatan Bone Pantai.

      Abstract: The role of Science and Technology (IT) is huge nowadays. The role covers many fields. One of them is education. MAN 1 Ponorogo is one of the schools in Ponorogo district that has extra computer-based activities for a minimum level of diploma 1. It affects the increase in lesson hours. Therefore, to maximize face-to-face required innovative learning media. One such example is e-learning. E-learning is also expected to be used actively by students. E-learning is a learning system that utilizes communication and information technology (ICT) in the learning process between teachers and learners. The purpose of this program is to socialize e-learning quipper to teachers and students in MAN 1 Ponorogo to optimize learning and teaching activities (KBM). In the event, seventeen teachers were present and active. Eleven teachers strongly agree with e-learning quipper because it is easy and useful. As of the 24 students present and active, 2 students still have difficulty in using e-learning quipper. Thus, more than 95% of participants can use the e-learning quipper.

           Program using Community Engagement Program Approach in West Aceh Regency

      Abstract: Menurut data Biro Pusat Statistik (Guci, 2017) disebutkan bahwa Aceh Barat adalah satu kabupaten termiskin di wilayah Provinsi Aceh. Salah satu penyebabnya adalah konflik yang pernah terjadi dan bencana alam gempa bumi dan tsunami 2004. Tulisan ini bertujuan untuk menjelaskan Program Kuliah Pengabdian Masyarakat (KPM) Inovatif Universitas Membangun Desa (UMD) pemberdayaan tanaman enceng gondok di wilayah Aceh Barat dengan segala keunggulan, keterbatasan, dan keunikan pada setiap langkahnya dengan menggunakan wawancara dan observasi langsung sebagai alat pengambilan data. Program KPM Inovatif UMD adalah sebuah program yang dilaksanakan oleh Lembaga Pengabdian Masyarakat UIN Ar Raniry yang bekerja sama dengan KOMPAK Indonesia. Program ini dilaksanakan oleh dosen sebagai supervisor, mahasiswa sebagai peserta, dan LP2M UIN Ar Raniry sebagai panitia pelaksana di tiga desa di Kecamatan Arongan Lambalek, Kabupaten Aceh Barat. KPM Inovatif UMD dilakukan selama enam bulan, yaitu Oktober 2016 hingga Maret 2017 dengan tiga tahapan: tahap penyiapan lembaga, tahap penyiapan sumber daya manusia pengrajin enceng gondok, dan tahap penyiadaan pasar bagi kerajinan enceng gondok. Kegiatan ini telah melahirkan lima kelompok usaha produktif dengan menghasilkan produk kerajinan berbahan dasar enceng gondok. Kesimpulan kegiatan ini adalah masyarakat sangat antusias dalam mengembangkan produk kerajinan berbahan dasar enceng gondok untuk dapat menyejahterakan kehidupan keluarga, namun masih terkendala dengan kualitas produk yang dihasilkan dan tempat pemasaran yang potensial di kemudian hari. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan peran pemerintah dalam melanjutkan program pemberdayaan masyarakat ini.

  • Peningkatan Kapasitas Kader Posyandu Melalui Pelatihan Pemantauan Status

      Abstract: Early childhood represents the stage of golden period during children development. Nutritional status monitoring at this period is very important to prevent growth disorders. The monitoring process is conducted monthly through posyandu. Posyandu cadres are the spearhead of successful nutritional status monitoring for children under five years old, therefore increasing cadres’ capability is necessary. This activity aims to improve posyandu cadres’ capability including knowledge and skills for nutritional status monitoring of children under five years old. This activities were carried out at Posyandu Mawar VI Karangsalam Kidul, Kedungbanteng Sub-District, Banyumas District, Central Java. This series of activities are conducted for four months, from May to August, 2017. The activity method was training with simulation with seven cadres participated in this activity. The evaluation resulted in increase of knowledge and skill level of cadre in nutritional status monitoring. The increase of knowledge scoring before and after training equal to 1.88 points. The increase of skill showed by almost every measurements are conducted properly, such as weighing standing toddler, weighing baby weight less than two years old, height measurement of toddler, and plotting KMS. Whereas, cadres are still having difficulties in measuring the length of the baby. It can be concluded that there is an increase in knowledge and skills of posyandu cadres in nutritional status monitoring of children after training.

      Abstract: Community engagement activities, science and technology development for community for one of the partner SIGMA Food, Sawangan, Depok, has been done with purpose to overcome the priority problems, which are improving quality and quantity of Aloe vera juice products and diversification of Aloe vera products into jams. The abdimas team, act as the facilitator and instructor, has trained/accompanied (a) quality improvement training/counseling for Aloe vera juice by preservative addition; (b) quality improvement of Aloe vera juice in SIGMA Food by pasteurization and sterilization; and (c) diversification of Aloe vera jam product processing. The result of this training is known for improving partner’s understandings in (a) quality improvement of Aloe vera juices by preservative addition, bottle packaging sterilization process, and Aloe vera juice pasteurization; and (b) diversification of Aloe vera products.

      Abstract: Oral health problem in Indonesian has increased. Yogyakarta is the fourth province with the highest number oral health problem and the third province with the highest Effective Medical Demands (EMD) for oral health in Indonesia. This fact indicates that it needs the attention of many parties to solve this problem, especially in Yogyakarta. Through community empowerment, community will be able to independently maintain their oral health and can be expected to be one of a solution to overcome the existing problems.The establishment of Oral Health Cadre (KADEGI) is a form of community empowerment strategy in terms of human resource development. Community empowerment, using the Participatory Learning and Action (PLA) method, is very effective to help the KADEGI mastered several skills such as (a) able to do dental health education, (b) able to do early detection of oral disease and (c) able to refer oral health cases to the nearest public health services (puskesmas).The results of KADEGI's work in data collecting of oral health problem in Desa Panjangrejo showed that from 1.198 respondents who were examined, 64% of respondents had tooth cavities and 49% had debris and calculus. These data indicate that Desa Panjangrejo’s resident are still need special attention in oral health problem by various parties.

      Abstract: Potentially, production of dried sago starch in Desa Arang Limbung, Sungai Raya, Kubu Raya District can be increased in term of quality and quantity. To achieve these, several problems have to be solved, i.e clean water availability for washing sago starch, washing mechanization to increase production capacity, and drying machine that efficient in operation and investment. Through IbM grant 2017, we have installed water filtration, sago washer, and solar dryer with greenhouse effect concept. Water filtration significantly increase the quality of water for use in washing sago starch and resulted in improved quality of sago starch. Mechanization of sago washing process and implementation of greenhouse effect dryer have increase capacity and efficiency of sago starch production. Generally, the introduced technology has been supported and accepted by stakeholder in Desa Arang Limbung. Further, the technology may support government policy in accelaration of food consumption diversity based on local resources.

      Abstract:   Impairment is something that most people do not want. There is impairment due to congenital from birth and there is also impairment caused by accidents. For example is deaf and mute. People with hearing impairment have limited hearing, whereas mute sufferers have limitations in terms of oral /voice and many also experience less hearing. Deaf people and mute need skills to maintain their survival, in SLB PSM Takeran there are lessons that teach about skills, but the skills of students in SLB PSM Takeran not well distributed, the creative craft made by SLB students are still stored neatly in school. Therefore, need to given the training bisol (Bisnis Online) for the deaf and mute in SLB PSM Takeran. The training was followed by 12 deaf and mute students at SLB Takeran. The training was held for two days with demo material on how to create social media account starting from e-mail creation, facebook, twitter, instagram, bukalapak, blibli.com and so on, then how to upload photos of products to be marketed, how to send goods Through shipping services. The results of the training were analyzed by qualitative approach. The results of the qualitative analysis (based on observation and interview) show that all participants feel the new knowledge and skills, namely the skills of doing business online. In addition, it can provide entrepreneurial supplies for people with deaf and mute. The future plan after this training will be the establishment of a disability community in Kecamatan Takeran, where the community will develop their skills and be able to create jobs for people with disabilities. So as to create financial independence for persons with disabilities.
