  • AWALAN ME-/MEN-/MENG- + S- ATAU MENG-'

      Abstract: : Description of morphological processes involving the verbal prefix me-/meN- in the Indonesian grammars have a long story. Traditionally, me- was described as changing in its form into meng- when followed by a base which begins with vowels, k, g, h, and kh; into mem- when folllowed by t and d; into men(y) when followed by s, sy, c, and j; remaining as me- when followed by m, n, ny, ng, l, r, w, and y. In the process, the initial p, t, l, and s are lost and the fate of the bases is no longer discussed. In this presentation it will be argued that not only prefixes but bases also entitled to more than one allomorph, changing the initial p, t, k, and s of the base into their respective homorganic nasals. This argument is supported by the occurrence of allomorphs like –masang, -nulis, -nguras, dan –nyapu in reduplication. Hypenation in written words like me-masang, me-nulis, me-nguras, and me-nyapu are also proofs of the allomorphic existence.
      Abstrak: Deskripsi proses morfologi yang bersangkutan dengan awalan verba me-/meN- dalam tata bahasa Indonesia mempunyai sejarah yang cukup panjang. Secara tradisional, me- diperikan sebagai awalan yang berubah bentuknya menjadi meng- ketika diikuti bentuk dasar yang berawal vokal, k, g, h, dan kh; menjadi mem- jika diikuti p, b, dan f; menjadi men- jika diikuti t dan d, menjadi men(y) ketika diikuti s, sy, dan j; tetap sebagai me- ketika diikuti m, n, ny, ng, l, r, w, dan y. Dalam proses itu p, t, k, dan s awal hilang atau luluh dan nasib kata/bentuk dasar tidak dihiraukan lagi. Dalam paparan di bawah ini diajukan argumen bahwa tidak hanya awalan tetapi juga kata/bentuk dasar mempunyai kemungkinan untuk memiliki lebih dari satu kata/bentuk dasar menjadi sengauan homorgan masing-masing. Argumen ini ditopang, misalnya, oleh kahadiran alomorf atau bentuk seperti –masang, -nulis, -nguras, dan nyapu dalam kata ulang. Penggunaan tanda hubung (-) dalam kata tertulis pada akhir baris seperti me-masang, me-nulis, me-nguras, dan me-nyapu juga menjadi bukti adanya alomorf-alomorf tersebut.   Permalink/

  • GAYA BAHASA DALAM KUMPULAN PUISI HUJAN BULAN JUNI KARYA SAPARDI DJOKO
           DAMONO

      Abstract: : This paper describes the language style in the collection of poetry of Hujan Bulan Juni by Sapardi Djoko Damono. With descriptive method and analytic approach, the poems’s Sapardi Djoko Damono are interpreted based on its language styles. The results of this study show that overall there are nineteen kind of language styles which is used by Sapardi, namely metaphor, personification, allegory, hyperbole, litotes, paradox, climax, anticlimactic, hypalase, erotesis, ellipsis, sinekdoke, alliteration, asonansi, epizeukis, anafora, mesodiplosis, and epanalepsis. The style of language that often appears in this collection of poetry is the style of comparison that includes personification, metaphor, and allegory. The effect of using the language style is to make writer ideas and emotions more real.   Abstrak: Tulisan ini mendeskripsikan gaya bahasa pada kumpulan puisi Hujan Bulan Juni karya Sapardi Djoko Damono. Dengan metode deskriptif serta pendekatan analitik, puisi-puisi karya Sapardi Djoko Damono ini dimaknai dan ditafsirkan berdasar gaya bahasanya. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa Secara keseluruhan terdapat sembilan belas gaya bahasa, yaitu metafora, personifikasi, alegori, hiperbola, litotes, paradoks, klimaks, antiklimaks, hipalase, erotesis, elipsis, sinekdoke, aliterasi, asonansi, epizeukis, anafora, mesodiplosis, dan epanalepsis. Adapun gaya bahasa yang sering muncul dalam kumpulan puisi ini adalah gaya bahasa perbandingan yang mencakup personifikasi, metafora, dan alegori. Efek yang ditimbulkan dari penggunaan gaya bahasa tersebut adalah membuat gagasan dan emosi lebih nyata. Permalink/

  • PEMBELAJARAN SASTRA DI PERGURUAN TINGGI YANG BERKARAKTER

      Abstract: : One of subject in the Department of Language and Literature Education Indonesia and is Indonesian literature or literature. This course not only teaches literary competence through theories, history, and literary criticism but demands learners or students to have attitudes and characters in accordance with the values ​​contained in literary works. Therefore, literary education relates to character education. Therefore literary learning should contain the character values ​​that correspond to that purpose. Such an attempt is to choose materials and literary works that contain character values. The material contains the values ​​of the characters such as literary psychology, one of the approaches in Literature Theory. Literary works taken can be novel such as Amba, novel of Laksmi Pamuntjak. The novel contains lots of character values, one of which is the responsibility. Thus, the student not only understands the literary knowledge but also achieves the establishment of the character and the noble character of integrity, integrity, and balance, in accordance with the standard of graduation competence.   Abstrak: Salah satu mata kuliah yang diajarkan di Jurusan Pendidikan Bahasa dan Sastra Indonesia adalah Sastra Indonesia. Mata kuliah ini tidak hanya mengajarkan kompetensi kesusastraan melalui teori, sejarah, dan kritik sastra tetapi menuntut pembelajar atau mahasiswa untuk memiliki  sikap dan karakter yang sesuai dengan nilai-nilai yang terdapat pada karya sastra. Oleh karena itu,  pendidikan sastra berkaitan dengan pendidikan karakter.  Untuk itu pembelajaran sastra harus memuat nilai-nilai karakter yang sesuai dengan tujuan itu. Salah upaya tersebut adalah memilih materi dan karya sastra yang memuat nilai-nilai karakter. Materi memuat nilai-nilai karakter tersebut di antaranya  adalah  psikologi sastra, salah satu pendekatan dalam Teori Sastra. Karya sastra yang diambil dapat berupa novel seperti novel Amba karya Laksmi Pamuntjak. Novel tersebut banyak memuat nilai-nilai karakter yang salah satunya adalah tanggung jawab. Dengan demikian,  mahasiswa tidak hanya memahami pengetahuan sastra tetapi juga dapat mencapai pembentukan karakter dan akhlak mulia secara utuh, terpadu, dan seimbang, sesuai dengan standar kompentensi lulusan.   Permalink/

  • MODEL KOMUNIKASI POLITIK RIDWAN KAMIL DI MEDIA SOSIAL INSTAGRAM: KAJIAN
           SOSIOLINGUITIK

      Abstract: : Political communications can be done by using the selection of speech code in accordance with  its purposes and functions. This study aims to find and describes instances, functions, and patterns of speech code which is selected  by Ridwan Kamil in his Instagram's political communication as mayor of Bandung . The data are collected via observation method and other advanced techniques such as uninvolved conversation observation technique, documentation technique, and writing technique. The data are analyzed using Miles and Huberman analysis model, contextual method, and comparative method. The instance of  Ridwal Kamil’s speech code selection in political communication in Instagram were 1) intra-code in English, formal Indonesian, and Sundanese; 2) code switching in the form of code switching, register switching , and variety switching ; 3) code mixing in the form of  interpolation of word, phrase, clause, word-idiom, and word-phrase. The patterns of speech code selection of Ridwan Kamil in political communication was vertical pattern. The function of speech code selection were  individual, cultural, communal and educational. Abstrak: Komunikasi politik dapat dilakukan dengan menggunakan pilihan kode tutur sesuai dengan tujuan dan fungsinya. Tujuan penelitian ini menganalisis wujud, pola, dan fungsi pilihan kode tutur Ridwan Kamil sebagai Wali kota Bandung dalam komunikasi politik di Instagram. Data dikumpulkan dengan metode simak menggunakan teknik simak bebas  libat cakap (SBLC), teknik dokumentasi, dan teknik catat. Analisis data dilakukan dengan menggunakan model analisis Miles dan Huberman, metode padan, dan metode kontekstual. Wujud pilihan kode tutur Ridwan Kamil dalam komunikasi politik di Instagram meliputi 1) tunggal kode dan variasinya yang berupa kode  Inggris, kode Indonesia ragam formal, dan kode Sunda; 2) alih kode yang berupa alih bahasa, alih register, dan alih ragam; serta 3) campur kode yang berupa penyisipan kata, frasa, klausa, kata-idiom, dan kata-frasa. Pola pilihan kode tutur Ridwan Kamil dalam komunikasi politik adalah pola vertikal. Fungsi pilihan kode tutur meliputi fungsi personal, kebudayaan, kemasyarakatan, dan pendidikan. Permalink/

The world of education now needs a suitable medium to improve the child's sense to love literature. The purpose of this paper is to review the development of posters of Indonesian literary figures that can be used as a medium of literary learning, with the emergence of new learning media and attract children began to re-like and familiar to literature. In this paper, a posters named as POSAS (Poster Tokoh Sastra Indonesia), which contains a glimpse of Indonesian literary figures from each period. Literary figures are selected based on the division of generation. Poster display consists of literary fiures identity, origin of literary figures, the literay work, description of the emergence of works and the self portrait of the literary figures.
      Abstrak: Sastra dan remaja menjadi dua hal yang memiliki jarak. Sastra tidak lagi akrab di hadapan remaja. Dunia pendidikan kini perlu media yang cocok guna meningkatkan kembali rasa suka anak terhadap sastra. Tujuan dari makalah ini adalah mengulas tentang pengembangan poster tokoh sastra Indonesia yang bisa dijadikan sebagai media pembelajaran sastra. Munculnya media pembelajaran baru akan menarik remaja mulai kembali menyukai dan mengakrabi sastra.. Dalam makalah ini diulas pengembangan poster dengan nama POSAS (Poster Tokoh Sastra Indonesia) yang berisi gambaran sekilas tokoh sastra Indonesia dari masing-masing periode. Tokoh dipilih berdasarkan pembagian periodesasi. Tampilan poster berupa identitas tokoh sastra, asal tokoh, karya yang dihasilkan, keterangan kemunculan karya dan potret diri tokoh sastra. POSAS diujicobakan pada siswa SMK dengan hasil remaja lebih antusias dalam mempelajari sastra. Mereka mulai akrab dengan tokoh-tokoh sastra kembali dengan hadirnya POSAS ini.   Permalink/

  • PEMBELAJARAN MEMBACA PEMAHAMAN DENGAN STRATEGI THE COGNITIVE ACADEMIC
           LANGUAGE LEARNING APPROACH (CALLA) BERBASIS KEARIFAN LOKAL SISWA

      Abstract: : The reading ability of Indonesian society is still low due to the low interest and reading habit. CALLA-based strategy of cognition by not forgetting aspects of metacognition can make students more precise in understanding a text in depth. Materials, media, and tests based on local wisdom are also expected to improve reading comprehension. This type of research is mixed methods with explanatory design. The sample of this research is taken with purposive purpose of two class, that is VII. 1 for the experimental class and VII.2 control class. The results of this study indicate that the implementation of CALLA strategy based on local wisdom in learning to read comprehension shows can increase student's interest to improve comprehension of reading. Similarly, the students' reading comprehension test results also show a significant improvement in the experimental class with CALLA strategies based on local wisdom. A significant level of effectiveness of reading comprehension learning with CALLA strategy based on local wisdom is 0.000 which means> α 0.05. That is, learning comprehension reading with CALLA strategy based on local wisdom is effective. The results of interviews and observations of teacher and student activities seen the influence of CALLA strategy based on local wisdom that makes students more enthusiastic and active in learning. Thus, CALLA strategy based on local wisdom is effective in improving students' reading comprehension skills.
      Abstrak: Kemampuan membaca masyarakat Indonesia masih rendah karena minat dan kebiasaan membaca yang rendah. Strategi CALLA berbasis kognisi tanpa melupakan aspek metakognisi dapat menjadikan siswa lebih tepat dalam memahami teks secara mendalam. Materi, media, dan tes yang diberikan berbasis kearifan lokal juga diharapkan dapat meningkatkan kemampuan membaca pemahaman. Penelitian ini memanfaatkan metode campuran dengan rancangan explanatory design. Sampel penelitian diambil dengan teknik purpose sampling dua kelas, yaitu VII.1 sebagai kelas eksperimen dan VII.2 sebagai kelas kontrol. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan stategi CALLA berbasis kearifan lokal dapat meningkatkan minat siswa untuk meningkatkan pemahaman. Hasil tes kemampuan membaca pemahaman siswa juga menunjukkan peningkatan yang signifikan pada kelas eksperimen. Tingkat signifikan keefektifan pembelajaran membaca pemahaman dengan strategi CALLA berbasis kearifan lokal mencapai 0,000 yang berarti > α 0,05. Artinya, pembelajaran membaca pemahaman dengan strategi CALLA berbasis kearifan lokal efektif. Hasil wawancara dan observasi aktivitas guru dan siswa pun menunjukkan bahwa metode ini membuat siswa lebih antusias dan aktif dalam pembelajaran. Permalink/

  • BENTUK TUGAS DAN EVALUASI EMPAT KETERAMPILAN BERBAHASA PADA BAHASA
           INDONESIA UNTUK PENUTUR ASING (BIPA)

      Abstract: Abstract : This paper is a part of research and development. The result, for listening skills, forms of duties and tests can be listened to elections, listening comprehensively and listening broadly. For speech skills, the tasks and tests are imitative, intensive, listening, responsive, interpersonal and broader speaking. For reading skills, the form of tasks and tests are intensive reading of short text. For writing skills, the form of the task and the test is to write an artificial, intensive or controlled, self-writing, literary display, and actual writing. To assess the tasks and tests of listening and reading, can use the assessment based on the number of correct answers. Conversely, to determine the aspects to be assessed and job scoring and speaking test can be used Brown and Ur concepts, namely accents, structure, vocabulary, pity, and understanding. To determine the aspects to be assessed and job scoring and writing tests can be used the concept of Brown and Jacob et al, namely content, organization, discourse, language, and mechanics. In conclusion, the task form can be aligned with the test form.   Abstrak : Penelitian ini membahas bentuk-bentuk tugas  dan evaluasi empat keterampilan berbahasa BIPA. Hasilnya, untuk keterampilan menyimak, bentuk tugas dan tesnya dapat menyimak pemilihan, menyimak menyeluruh, dan menyimak luas sedangkan  keterampilan berbicara, bentuk tugas dan tesnya  adalah tiruan, intensif, mau mendengarkan, tanggapan, antarperseorangan dan berbicara lebih luas.  Bentuk tugas dan tes untuk keterampilan membaca adalah membaca intensif yang teksnya singkat dan untuk keterampilan menulis, bentuk tugas dan tesnya  adalah menulis tiruan, intensif atau terkontrol, menulis sendiri, mempertontonkan tulisan, dan menulis sebenarnya. Untuk menilai tugas dan tes menyimak dan membaca, dapat menggunakan penilaian berdasarkan jumlah jawaban yang benar. Sebaliknya, untuk penilaian  dan penskoran tugas dan tes berbicara dapat digunakan konsep Brown dan Ur, yakni aksen, struktur, kosakata, kepasihan, dan pemahaman sedangkan untuk  menulis dapat digunakan konsep Brown dan Jacob et al, yakni isi, organisasi, wacana, bahasa, dan mekanik. Kesimpulannya, bentuk tugas dapat diselaraskan dengan bentuk tes. Permalink/
