  • Value Education in The Perspective of Western and Islamic Knowledge

      Abstract: The moral-spiritual crisis in the western country has been the cause for the development of the value education concept. The Western concept of value is adopted from study of knowledge, in particular philosophy and social sciences, which is developed in the world of education with all its relative variants. The purpose of this paper is to know the concept of value and value education in the perspective of Western and Islamic knowledge. This paper was prepared as a comparative study between Islam and Western perspective on value with particular focus on philosophy, sociology and pedagogy by using library research. The paper concludes that value in Western conception is relative, created by human ratio and neglects the revelation, whilst Islam puts the revelation as a primary source of values which makes education in Islam means the value of education itself. Therefore, it should not be accepted by Muslims without adequate criticism, because there are some fundamental differences between the Western worldview and the Islamic worldview.

  • Humanistic Approach In Education According To Paulo Freire

      Abstract: Education has an important and strategic role to ensure the development of cognitive intelligence, psychomotor and affective. Education aims to develop human potential and forms a good personality. However, current education loses humane aspects (dehumanization). This is due to the approach used for teaching based on the educator (teacher center) and not centered on learners (student center). The ultimate purpose of humanistic approach in education is the learning process that was started and is intended for the benefit of humanizing mankind. Humanizing humans, is to achieve self-actualization, self-understanding, and self-realization people to learn optimally. The concept of humanistic approach in education according to Freire is a process of liberation from the oppressive system and raised awareness of the critical processes centered on educators and learners as subjects in the process of teaching and learning. The implication of humanistic approach in education is how to educators to encourage students to think critically and act according to the values of humanity. Since then, the humanistic approach in education should be applied in the process of learning and teaching in order to produce a good learner and critical of reality.

      Abstract: Leaders in Islamic educational institutions have a great responsibility, because of their role such as the ability to make decisions and skills in making new ideas as the demands of society. Being a leader in Islamic educational institution is not only required to master various leadership theories, but also must be able to apply them in the institution. Some principles that must be owned by a leader in carrying out his leadership in an Islamic educational institution should rely on things that have been ordered by Allah SWT. Principles of leadership in Islam namely trust, fair, deliberation, and amar ma ' ruf nahi munkar. While qualifications of leader in Islamic education as follows: sincere, always take the initiative, able to create network and use it, trustworthy, work hard and earnest, mastering the problem and can solve it, have high integrity, have high guts and not afraid of risk, honest and open, ready to sacrifice, assertive, intelligent in seeing, listening, evaluating, judging, deciding, and solving it, able to communicate, and Good in mu'amalah.

      Abstract: Implementation of Career Development Management of human resources in Islamic boarding school have been implemented, but not as expected yet. One factor that influences the job satisfaction of teachers or staff is career development. Obvious of career in the organization will be able to improve the motivation of employees in carrying out their work, thus creating a sense of satisfaction. Every human resource is given the opportunity to develop career and ability optimally. Career goal is the further position of individuals/ employee in their work. Such conditions require organizations to undertake career coaching for workers, which must be implemented on a planned and sustainable basis. In other words, career coaching is one of human resources (HR) management activities, should be implemented as a formal activity that is done in an integrated manner with other human resources (HR) activities. While career planning that planned by employees and organizations with regard to employee career, especially regarding the preparation that must be met by an employee to achieve certain career goals. The point is employee career planning must be done by both parties, employee and organization. If not, then employee career planning will not produce a good plan and realistic.

  • Nilai Pendidikan Karakter Anak dalam Antologi Cerita Remaja Tarian Salju

      Abstract: This study describes the value of character education of children in the anthology of adolescent story Tarian Salju Karaban. This paper will discuss some of short stories from 15 short stories in the anthology, namely the Snow Dance Keraba (TSK) by Aulal Muna, Tembang Canting Kinanti (TCK) by Khalisha Hamida, Laila (L) by Rahma Istiqomah, Immaah ... Immaaaahh (II) by Andi Indra Jaya, Air Mata Mayang from Ranah Betung (AMMdRB) by Mimi Artati, Aulia Azizah Boundary (TB), and Wayang for Nilam (WuN) by Dea Nada Fauzziah. Based on descriptive studies with repetitive reading techniques, it found some information about the value of children's character education related to intelligent, honest, caring, and resilient. The value of character education is in the groove and united in the narrative of the story. The theme of the seventh story is caring, persistence, and friendship. The story delivered by simple, straight forward, dialogue-style, and narrative.

  • Pengaruh Pemahaman Ajaran Agama Islam Terhadap Kualitas Moral Remaja

      Abstract: The purpose of this research are to explore the student’s comprehension of Islamic knowledge in the high school or similar institution in Pronorogo, to explore the teenager moral’s quality in the high school or similar institution in Ponorogo, and to explore the influence of comprehension of Islamic knowledge on teenager moral’s quality in Ponorogo. This research focused on three different institutions, which is the state school, Islamic madrasah schools, and Islamic boarding school known as pesantren. The object of this research is the students on high school’s age period, because in this period, students should has to learn many Islamic knowledge in their school and theirs moral attitude has been built. the result of analysis of research data and r table with N 300 with significance level 5%. The results of data analysis have been able to conclude that the hypothesis in accordance with this research is there is no influence from the understanding of Islamic education materials with the moral development of adolescents in Ponorogo.

  • Analisis Problematika Pembelajaran Insya’ Arabi at-Tahriri Santri Kelas
           V (KMI) di Pondok Modern Gontor Dua

      Abstract: Insha 'Arabi At-tahriri is one of the important subject in the Kulliyatul Mu'allimin Al-Islamiyah (KMI) curriculum. However, in the implementation, it was found that most of them (60%) still scored below 6. This study aims to find the problems that exist in the learning of Insya 'Arabi At-tahriri amongs student or santri of KMI, especially fifth grade student. This research is a field research using descriptive qualitative analysis. This research takes place in Modern Islamic Boarding School of Darussalam Gontor Campus 2. The sample of this research includes the Vice-director of KMI, teacher of KMI, staff of KMI, and all the fifth-grade students of KMI. The results of this study indicate the problem of learning Insya caused by several source. From the internal students, such as the lack of ability to express the language in writing competence, the weak mastery of Arabic Material and psychological aspect like willingness and motivation. And the external aspect of student including their activities outside class such as joining organization. While the factor of teachers, the problematic learning occurs due to teacher teaching method, some of them do not use student learning center method. It cause the teaching process becomes monotonous and bit boring.

      Abstract: Language and culture are the two components that can not be separated from human communication. As a tool to communicate with one and another, many discussion about the theory between language and culture. The relationship between the language and culture of linguists is the most common concern for those who have included language instruction for foreign language, understanding the language where different cultural complexities are needed in this study were a concern of the Arabic language. Moreover, many scholars emphasize the learning model of Arabic-speaking skills on the basis of theory through cultural understanding. The main aspect you should be interested in learning the Arabic language such as cross cultural knowledge, cross cultural awareness, cross-cultural sensitivity, cross cultural. The theory of Odes developing the intentional skill of speaking Arabic, devolution of educational materials, the development of professional teacher, the development of approaches and the development of the method, and the development of learning assessment. Each component had elements of mutual cultural understanding.

      Abstract: Every language is rich with vocabulary and its diversity is consistent with human experience and the development of the culture in which it grows and develops. Every language has its own way in determining the system of symbols and meaning. This will cause the problems in translation. Arabic for example, as the language of Al-Qur'an, has characters structures that different from the Indonesian. It makes the interpreter must know about the process of reconstructing the source language into the target language, because every language has a different way of expressing a similar message. The difference could be at lexical level and grammatical level. From the literature review it can be concluded that basically the process of translation consists of two stages: (1) original textual analysis and understanding of meaning and / or original text message and (2) the revelation of the meaning and message in the target language in words or acceptable sentences in the target language. Differences in the choice of lexical and grammatical forms from one language and other languages makes an interpreter have to be careful in translating. It makes the parallel equivalence of form and meaning is difficult to find in translation.

      Abstract: One of the superiority of the Al-Qur'an is the accuracy of the meaning of words. And to understand the true meaning of the structure of the Qur'an can be done by detecting the phenomenon of language, including the phenomenon of equations and the relationship between the meaning of words. The equation of meaning in the Al-Qur’an is a broad subject, so it takes great effort in analyzing the meaning of synonyms, the most important being the analysis of the original meaning to the analysis of the structure context, and the semantic relationship between the two. The semantic relationship is the basis of communication and understanding among members of human society and in understanding the meaning of the words of the Al-Qur'an, this is the essence of linguistics and what is the purpose of the study of sound, morphology and grammar. This research takes words that have synonyms as an example of research, namely الدين ,الملة  , العلم and  المعرفة. The researcher's view that the words " الدين" and " الملة" indicate shari'a and obedience to God, which is a kind of cognitive meaning, Science is more general than knowledge, whether related to truth, goodness, al-Qur'an, livelihood, kindness, , and mind. The effect of the semantic relationship between synonyms is the interpreter's understanding, which is a linguistic influence. We see that interpreters begin to simultaneously articulate words, synonyms, meanings, widening meanings, narrowing meanings, linguistic differences, verbal joints, derivatives and the context. Includes curriculum for al-Zamzhari, al-Tabri and Ragheb al-Asfahani.
