      Abstract: Die vorliegende Sonderausgabe des Journals of Technical Education mit dem Titel „Lehrkräfte- und Nachwuchsmangel in den gewerblich-technischen Fächern des Lehramts an berufsbildenden Schulen“ beschäftigt sich mit einer Problematik, die sich mittlerweile wie ein roter Faden durch den Diskurs der beruflichen Bildung und der berufspädagogischen Lehrerbildungsforschung zieht. Die Thematik des Lehrkräftemangels an beruflichen Schulen kommt immer wieder in den Fokus der öffentlichen Diskussion und der wissenschaftlichen Community. Derzeit ist die Debatte um fehlende Lehrerinnen und Lehrern an berufsbildenden Schulen insbesondere auch bildungspolitisch hochaktuell!

  • Vorbildung, Studienmotivation und Gründe eines Studienabbruchs von
           Studierenden im Lehramt an berufsbildenden Schulen

      Abstract: Die vorliegende Untersuchung liefert ein systematisch begründetes Beschreibungswissen zu (1.) den soziodemografischen Merkmalen, (2.) der beruflichen und akademischen Vorbildung, (3.) dem Erstkontakt und der Studienmotivation von Lehramtsstudierenden in den Fachrichtungen Bau-, Elektro-, Maschinenbautechnik und Informatik, die zu Beginn ihres Studiums mit quantitativen und qualitativen Methoden befragt wurden. Die Ergebnisse zeichnen ein vielschichtiges Bild zu den soziodemografischen und motivationalen Ausgangslagen der Lehramtsstudierenden. The results present a many-layered picture of the sociodemographic and motivational starting positions of teacher training students.   • Zwischen Ingenieurstudium und Lehramtsoption – Wann und warum
           entscheiden sich Studierende für den „PLan C“'

      Abstract: Da die Gewinnung von qualifizierten sowie geeigneten Lehrkräften für den gewerblich-technischen Bereich der berufsbildenden Schulen ein dauerhaftes Problem darstellt, wird in dem Beitrag der Frage nachgegangen, welche Gründe der Rekrutierungsproblematik zu Grunde liegen. Dafür werden Ergebnisse aus dem Projekt „PLan C“ vorgestellt, die das Potential der ingenieurwissenschaftlichen Studierenden, als potentielle Zielgruppe für die Rekrutierung lehramtsinteressierter Personen untersucht. Es zeigt sich, dass sich innerhalb der anvisierten Zielgruppe lehramtsinteressierte Studierende befinden, die einen inhaltlich begründeten Wechsel vom Ingenieursstudium in das berufsbildende Lehramt vollzogen haben, jedoch handelt es sich hierbei nur um eine geringe Anzahl.Schlüsselwörter: Gewerblich-Technisches Lehramt, Rekrutierungsproblematik, Zielgruppen im Lehramt, Lehrkräftemangel, Studiengangswechsel___________Between the engineering major and becoming a teacher: When and why do students choose PLan C'Since the acquisition of qualified and capable teachers for the commercial- technical subjects of vocational schooling remains an enduring problem, this contribution inquires into the reasons that lie at the foundation of the recruitment problem. To this end, results from the project “PLan C” are presented, the aim of which is to examine the potential in targeting engineering students for recruitment as vocational educators.   • Interessenstrukturen von Studierenden und damit verbundene Potentiale für
           die Gewinnung von Lehramtsstudierenden

      Abstract: Der Lehrkräftemangel an beruflichen Schulen in gewerblich-technischen Domänen gab auch in der Vergangenheit immer wieder Anlass, durch die Umgestaltung der Ausbildungsangebote oder auch die Schaffung von Quereinstiegen zusätzliche Rekrutierungspotentiale zu schaffen (Nickolaus 1996; Ziegler 2004). Die dauerhafte und unterschiedliche Ausbildungsmodelle übergreifende Rekrutierungsproblematik, verweist vermutlich auf dahinterliegende Grundprobleme, die unabhängig von den jeweiligen Ausbildungsmodellen wirksam sind. Anlehnend an die Interessentheorie von Holland (1997) wird unterstellt, dass die für Technikpädagogikstudierenden notwendigen bzw. wünschenswerten Interessenprofile eher selten aufzufinden sind. Vor dem Hintergrund partieller fachlicher Überschneidungen der Studiengänge Berufspädagogik und der Ingenieurwissenschaften mit dem Studiengang Technikpädagogik wird der Frage nachgegangen, in welcher Weise sich deren Interessenprofile unterscheiden und ob bzw. in welchem Ausmaß, sich die Studiengänge der Berufspädagogik und der Ingenieurwissenschaften als Rekrutierungspotential für die Technikpädagogik eignen. Hierbei zeigt sich, dass bezogen auf die Interessenprofile, insbesondere Studierende ingenieurwissenschaftlicher Fächer Schnittmengen mit Studierenden der Technikpädagogik aufweisenSchlüsselwörter: Lehrkräfterekrutierung, Technikpädagogik, berufliches Interesse, Berufswahltheorie_________The structure of vocational interests from students and the involved potential for the recruitment from students of lectureshipThe dearth of teaching staff at technical vocational schools led to the creation of additional recruitment potentials. Examples thereof are the reorganisation of the training programs, and the possibility of different entrance models (Nickolaus 1996; Ziegler 2004). The enduring recruitment difficulty which spans a wide range to the different kinds of training models underscores the ubiquity of this problem. In agreement with the theory of vocational choice of Holland (1997), it is imputed, that the necessary or desirable characteristic interests for vocational education teachers are lacking. Partial overlaps of the interest profiles of vocational education teachers with that of students of vocational education studies can also be assumed. Given this background, the question of how the interest profiles of the aforementioned fields of studies differ, and to what extent vocational education studies and engineering sciences offer a recruitment potential for engineering pedagogy, is being investigated. Nach dem Bachelorstudium Ingenieurpädagogik in Landshut kann, durch eine Kooperationsvereinbarung geregelt, unmittelbar das Masterstudium Berufliche Bildung an der TU München aufgenommen werden. Seit dem Studienstart zum Wintersemester 2015/16 hat sich der Studiengang mittlerweile konsolidiert. Die Entwicklung der Studierendenzahlen ist bisher sehr positiv. Der Beitrag greift aktuelle Fragestellungen einer beruflichen Lehrerbildung auf und zeigt im Kontext des vorgestellten Kooperationsmodells mögliche Herausforderungen, die sich aus dem Implementationsprozess ergeben.Schlüsselwörter: Ingenieurpädagogik, Lehramt an beruflichen Schulen, Metalltechnik, Elektro- und Informationstechnik, Kooperation____________Bachelor of Engineering – A cooperation of the University of Applied Sciences Landshut with the Technical University of Munich for the recruitment of junior staff for Vocational SchoolAs for teacher training programmes for prospective teachers at vocational schools, Hochschule Landshut (Landshut University of Applied Sciences) and Technische Universität München (Technical University of Munich) cooperate in the subjects Electrical and Information Engineering as well as Metalworking. A cooperation agreement ensures that holders of a Bachelor’s degree (B. Eng.) in Engineering Pedagogy who studied in Landshut are allowed to subsequently start the Master’s programme in Vocational Education at the Technical University. In the two years since winter term 2015/16, the study programme has become well established and student enrolments have constantly increased up to a very satisfactory level. The present essay addresses current issues in the training of vocational school teachers.       Abstract: Der innovative Masterstudiengang „Berufliche Bildung Integriert“ verbindet die erste und zweite Phase der Lehrerbildung erstmalig konsequent auf Programmebene. Das dreijährige Ausbildungskonzept führt einen Masterstudiengang und einen zweijährigen Vorbereitungsdienst zusammen. Durch die intensive Abstimmung zwischen Universität und Staatlichem Studienseminar sowie die gemeinsam getragene Verantwortung für die Professionalisierung von Lehrkräften ist ein neuer Weg in die Lehrerbildung an beruflichen Schulen implementiert worden. Dieser generiert hohe Synergieeffekte und ist aus qualitativer Sicht zukunftsweisend für die Professionalisierung von Lehrkräften. The three-year training concept dovetails a theoretical Master’s degree course with a two year teacher practice course. Intensive coordination between universities and the responsible government institutions (Staatliches Studienseminar), both entities having a joint responsibility for the professional standards to be attained by trainee teachers, has resulted in a new approach being formulated and initiated for the training of teachers at vocational schools. This pioneering approach generates high synergy effects and important future benefits regarding professional standards in vocational teacher training. Dafür werden Ergebnisse aus dem Projekt „PLan C“ vorgestellt, die das Potential der ingenieurwissenschaftlichen Studierenden, als potentielle Zielgruppe für die Rekrutierung lehramtsinteressierter Personen untersucht. To this end, results from the project “PLan C” are presented, the aim of which is to examine the potential in targeting engineering students for recruitment as vocational educators.
