      Pages: 12 - 32
Nativos digitales. Competencias digitales. • ‘The Saatchi Generation’: Art & Advertising in the UK in
           the Late 20th Century

    • Authors: Ruth Adams
      Pages: 33 - 47
Abstract: This essay examines the work and careers of the ‘Young British Artists’ – most notably Damien Hirst – and their infamous benefactor. The ‘YBAs’ came to public attention in the late 20th century with the staging of a landmark exhibition called ‘Sensation’ at the Royal Academy in London.  This exhibition showcased the collection of the most important art patron of his generation, the advertising mogul Charles Saatchi.  Fans and critics alike have remarked on the similarity between Saatchi’s own commercial work and the art that he collected – both were eye-catching, witty, irreverent and designed to shock.  Although the extent and the value of Saatchi’s influence on his stable of artists remains open to debate, both can be said to exemplify the culture of late capitalism and the importance and ubiquity of the ‘brand’.Keywords: Art. Brand.

    • Authors: Jackson Luiz Nunes Bentes, Leonardo Humberto Ortiz Bravo, Fabiola Alexandra Cuadra Hernández
      Pages: 48 - 60
Its purpose was the analysis of teachers´competence in ICTs (Information and Communication tecnologies) and its correct incorporation in cross curricular subjects considering: the diagnostic in the ICTs competences, the description and the criterion in order to design activities and pedagogical support. The parameter of measuring that was considered is related to the incorporation of ICTs into the curriculum. This study could show its justification because of its practical and theoretical basis, its social relevance based on the benefits that ICTs incorporation produces. The panel of competence of ICTs, which the Ministry of Education promotes through ENLACES supports this research. The process of the information that was gathered revealed the need that teachers must improve the use of ICTs into the classroom: Intermediate level of technological competence, lack of common criterion when teachers have to design activities using ICTs into the classroom and an insufficient pedagogical support. Keywords: Competence.

Comprehensive education in São João de Meriti: unbalanced conceptsAbstractFull-time Comprehensive Education is a current theme both in academia and civil society. This is largely due to the adoption of the Law of Guidelines and Bases of National Education, which indicates progressive increase of the length of the school day in public schools nationwide. The theme became more relevant after 2007 when Mais Educação Program, whose objective is to improve the quality of the education offered throughout the nation’s public school systems, was launched. Based on the idea that Full-time Comprehensive Education is a polysemic concept, we search to uncover the concepts referred by the professionals of education from São João de Meriti. The analysis of the content of the speeches from those involved in the municipal politics of Full-time Education allowed us to extract the elements that made up their minds about the theme. Keywords: Public Policy.

Imperialismo interno."Science Cover" in Humanities and social sciences in Latin AmericaAbstractThis small essay tries to analyze why there is a long tradition in Latin American humanities and social sciences to import theories and concepts from the countries of the North. I call “cover science” an attitude of importing ideas and concepts from other regions and of applying them indiscriminately to local social realities. At the same time, there are important efforts of authentic Latin American knowledge construction such as dependency theory, the sociology of exploitation or the concept of "internal imperialism”.Keywords: Science cover. • Juventude(s) negra e a reprodução das desigualdades raciais no Brasil:
           políticas públicas de igualdade'

    • Authors: Marlene Almeida de Ataide
      Pages: 80 - 89
Juventude negra. Desigualdades raciais. Políticas públicas.Black youth(s) and the reproduction of racial inequalities in Brazil: public policies for equality' AbstractThis article aims to reflect critically about black youth category living in poor conditions and remain on the margins of society, for they find it difficult to exist as subjects of rights with regard to the inclusion in the scope of the dedicated public rights policies because they operate with his back to these young people. This is on the assumption that racism and social inequality constitute the main factors that influence and primarily affects poor black youths expressed from the socio-spatial segregation, racial discrimination and poverty of experience The young African descent as well as experience traditional difficulties imposed socially; are additional barriers due to the Brazilian socio-racial relations. So in this article, we seek a space for reflection, assuming that public policies of universal nature play an important role in reducing poverty, but limited in combating racial inequality; as a result, only with the adoption of specific policies is that it will achieve reverse the situation of racial inequality. A major challenge that requires the Brazilian government is towards creating more equal conditions for the inclusion of young people within the public policy of rights that are meant to them. Keywords: Youth.
