  • Aligning Qur’anic, Hadith and Shari'ah paradigms into The Medical
Imaging Practice موائمة بين النماذج القرآنية
           والحديثية والشرعية في تطبيق التصوير

    • Authors: Zainul Ibrahim Zainuddin
      Pages: 1 - 17
Abstract: Abstract: Medical Imaging or Radiography practice has been dictated by the Western Worldview. Various professional guidelines are available to guide Medical Imaging professionals in terms of the professional and ethical aspects in the field. However, they are devoid of any references to the Divine Creator or spiritual associations. This effective secularisation of spiritual values and practices could result in distancing Muslim practitioners from the ideals that Islam champions. This paper examined selected professional guidelines identifying some of the common professional and ethical themes that they represent. Seven common themes or constructs were discussed alongside Qur’Énic verses (القرآنية الآيات), Hadith (الحديث) and the Maqasid and Qawa’id Al-Shar'iyyah (مقاصد وقواعد الشرعية). Aligning these paradigms to the professional expectations was done with the intention of reinforcing and enhancing further the spiritual mindedness and practice of the Muslim practitioners. It is hoped that the discussions could promote the formulation of the Code of Professional Practice for Muslim Medical Imaging Practitioners.

  • The Integration Of Qur'anic Worldview with Natural Science تكامل
           بين نظرية قرآنية وعلوم طبيعية

    • Authors: Nur Jannah Hassan
      Pages: 18 - 34
Abstract: Abstract: Integration has been a key concern in the education of the ummah since the post-colonial period that have left Muslims with the legacy of a dichotomous education. Today, we see many Islamic schools with different modes of integration. But what constitutes as integration' How much have Muslims progressed towards true integration' This article presents a brief qualitative report on the findings from field researches that probed into samples of integration at 24 Islamic secondary schools in Malaysia and Indonesia (and surveys in Brunei, Singapore, Mindanao,  Southern Thailand and Ontario) comparing with the ideal where integration constitutes an organic fusion between revealed and acquired knowledge. The article skims through the worldviews that have brought about natural science to its current plinth. It proposes a model for Islamic secondary education where natural sciences undergo a discreet but holistic reconstruction, redefinition and redirection from the framework of the Qur’ānic worldview.

  • The Concept of Qira’at and their Effects on Al-Ahkam Al-Shar’iyyah
           قواعد القراءات وأثارها في الأحكام

    • Authors: Ismail Hashim Abu Bakar
      Pages: 35 - 49
Abstract: Abstract The Glorious Qur’an was sent down to Prophet Muhammad (SAW) within the span of twenty three years. Throughout the period, the Prophet (SAW) taught and explained the Sahabah the Divine message of the Qur’an. Allah the Almighty, being the Creator and Most Aware and Knowledgeable about His creatures, revealed the Qur’an in gradual process and according to the ability of human consumption and practicability. Moreover, in some instances, the mode of recitation of Qur’an varies within the same Qur’anic unit. It is obvious that one of the wisdoms behind such variations and differences is to make the Divine message easier and more accommodating in terms of the legislations and injunctions contained therein. This paper attempts to define the concept of Qira’at and highlight some of its effects on al-Ahkam al-Shar’iyyah. The work solely relies on some of the books written on Qira’at by early and contemporary scholars. It is recommended that the utilization, accommodation and appreciation of the variations of Qur’anic recitation may minimize some of the ideological and jurisprudential disagreements and misunderstandings that dominate the legislative discourse in the Islamic intellectual circles.

  • The Scientific View of the Holy Qur`an نظرة علمية عن
           القرآن الكريم

    • Authors: Ibrahim Shogar
      Pages: 50 - 65
Abstract: Abstract: This article investigates the Qur’anic approach on knowledge inquiry which emphasizes both the rational and empirical methods. It presents the various techniques adopted by the holy Qur´an to inculcate research interest and promote the scientific enterprise, such as inspiration and systemization of inquiry. Mankind needs to understand the world and explain its natural processes and historical events for various purposes. Human talent has been adopting various approaches to achieve this important goal, but it was unsuccessful in many cases. The foundation of modern science is grounded on the theory that observation and experimentation are the most reliable methods to uncover the truth of the world. Philosophers, however, emphasize the rational approach. They hold that the truth may manifest itself and it may be uncovered by means of investigation and removing the veil which may not be an easy task. However, once truth stands revealed before human intellect it has the power to see it and distinguish it from falsehood. It is the hypothesis of this article that the Qur’ānic approach on the natural and human phenomena plays an important role in integrating and synergizing the above two approaches. This claim is based on many factors, including the fact that the holy Qur´Én integrates different approaches with rational and empirical qualities to invite human attention for investigation. The holy Qur`an also, provides the epistemological and metaphysical principles that are useful for both methods of inquiry.

  • The Explanation of Nervous System From the Hadith Nabawi الإعجاز
النبوي في بيان وظائف الجهاز العصبي

    • Authors: سيد محمد حسان
      Pages: 66 - 82
Abstract: Abstract: Disunity, division and wars are a daily picture in the Muslim Communities. They are the poorest and humiliated people in the world, even though among them are the richest people of the land. The Rohingya’s are in the streets without a state and care. Palestinians become foreigners in their own land; they live under the weapons of the Zionists. And the most dangerous things are happening in Syria, Iraq and Afghanistan. Muslims are involved in violence and brutality with their own brothers. This is because of the lack of love, affection and compassion among themselves, that they grow for themselves and despise others. As the truth of the believer he rejoices for the joy of his believing brother and grieves for his sadness as members of the body sympathize with each other. After examining the reality of the believer in the light of the Prophet's Hadith and the reality of the body and its functions in the books of psychology, the researcher intended to reveal the relationship between them and then compare with the conditions of Muslims nowadays.

  • Business: A Way to Strengthening the Unity of Muslim Ummah التجارة
           وسيلة لوحدة الأمة الإسلامية

    • Authors: نور ذات أمن محمد, صفية شمس الدين, نذر الأفندي جاني
      Pages: 83 - 97
Abstract: Abstract: The objective of this study is to enlighten the topic on business and Ummatic unity in the Holy Qur’an. This research uses the descriptive and analytical methods; by compiling the Qur’anic verses about business as a path to strengthen the Ummatic unity and revising them in the exegesis books, then to analyse them in order to arrive at the results. Among the most important findings of this research; the business in the Qur’an encourages the Ummah towards employment and acquiring the legal provisions. By the wisdom of Allah The Almighty, He makes analogies of the interactions between Him and humans using the words related to business so that the unseen rewards of afterlife become closer by comparing to the glimpsed profit of this world. This shows that it is very important for the Ummah to always remember their metaphysical transactions with their Lord -The Giver- every time they enter their physical transactions. The business must be taken as a way to strengthen the unity of the Muslim Ummah by striving towards the success in this world and in the hereafter, beautifying the characters, fighting the poverty, searching Allah’s bounties, preaching towards Allah and strengthening the relations between them.
