Abstract: The present article is an exploration on Ibn Khaldun’s notion of religious emancipation, notably in the case of Jews in his age. The exploration is based on the examination upon his magnum opus, Muqaddima. Byproduct, it describes as well the dynamic of the notion of religious emancipation and tolerance in history among the Christians and Muslims in the pre-modern era, through which the interreligious relationship is also a concern. Ibn Khaldun was an important fi gure in this endeavor through his sociological analysis of the world history, as his unique overview upon Jews as a marginal religious group. In the present article Ibn Khaldun is situated within his contemporary and considered him as a prominent Islamic thinker in liminality, a condition that allows him to envision new thing but at the same time embedded in the context.

Abstract: Indonesia is one of the heterogeneous countries and has various diversity of language, ethnicity, tradition, and religion. Religious differences in some cases are very vulnerable to confl icts such as those that have happened in Poso and Ambon. However, religious differences will not necessarily lead to religious confl icts if it is the case in Plumbon, Banguntapan, Bantul, Yogyakarta. In the region, there are three different religions: Islam, Hinduism, Christianity and Catholicism. Nevertheless, they can live in harmony in these differences. Religious harmony in Banguntapan is formed through an interactive dialogue framed in celebrations, traditions and religious ceremonies. Each Religion is a religious ceremony. The celebration or ceremony serves as a means of dialogue by participating in it as a form of appreciation of other religions as well as supporting and conditioning the situation of celebration. On the other hand, supports are also in the form of fi nancial, moral and efforts to fi nd synergy or balance among religious people. The uniqueness in Banguntapan village is in the tradition of religious ceremonies that local people consider highly sensitive to interfaith ritual activities. Abstract: Spiritual tourism though factually is not a new phenomenon, but a perspective in the perspective of sociology of religion gets its place, especially when tourism becomes a global trend of religious consumerism. In addition to Hajj, and rihlah, Umrah which is included in the journey of ziyarah is one of spiritual tourism trend. In practice spiritual tourism also infl uenced and infl uenced by religious discourse, including also understanding of what is called as sunnah. By using the concept of spiritual tourism taken from the perspective of sociology, this paper further utilizes the perspective of the umroh and haj travel bureaus on what is called the sunnah, where the umrah is one of them. The results of the analysis show that research that does not merely depart from popular culture shows the important role of travel agency forming a strategy in attracting pilgrims by not only binding umrah as a recreation / traveling, but also placing it as a worship. Abstract: During this time Trinitias is widely misunderstood by Muslims as a form of polytheism. The Trinity is assumed to be three distinct entities: God the Father, Lord the Son, and the Holy Spirit. This paper seeks to examine the dogma of the Holy Spirit as one element of the Trinity. This paper concludes that in Catholic, the Holy Spirit is the unity of the Father and the Son in the form of Love that is near in the created universe. The Holy Spirit is also God and is equal to the fi rst and second person of God, and therefore His presence as commanded by God does not mean that He is inferior to the other two. The presence of the Holy Spirit in this world means the salvation, liberation, and existence of the Christian community (ie followers of Jesus) who came to be known as the Church.
