  • For a Performative Pedagogy: the school as a place for cultural hybridity
           for teacher-performer and the student-performer

    • Abstract: RESUMO: Este texto apresenta a possibilidade de pensar a performance em diferentes acepções; entre elas, aquelas que mostram a sua capacidade de desestabilizar a escola e o que sabemos sobre ela. Descrevem-se três experiências com alunos da educação básica e, a partir delas, desdobram-se noções com o intuito de circunscrever uma pedagogia performativa: a escola como entrelugar, em que se apresenta o conceito de liminar; e “professor-performer” e “estudante-performer”, noções que procuram minimizar a diferença hierárquica entre professor e aluno.ABSTRACT: This article describes the possibility for thinking about performance in different senses, namely among those that show its ability to disrupt the school and what we know about it. Notions were extracted based on descriptions of three experiences with Basic Education students, the objective being to circumscribe a performative pedagogy: the school as a place for cultural hybridity in which the concept of boundary is present; and “teacher-performer” and “student-performer”, notions that seek to minimize the hierarchy between teacher and student.
       
  • Critical-Performative Pedagogy: tensionings between the own and the common
           in the school space-time

    • Abstract: RESUMO: O presente texto consiste em uma breve reflexão sobre processos de interação entre educadores e educandos no contexto de uma prática pedagógica crítico-performativa. A investigação pretende analisar os elementos que constituem um dos anelos fundantes da prática educacional: o estabelecimento de uma vida em comum em um mundo pautado pelo próprio. Dito de outro modo, o estudo procura refletir, desde os pressupostos da Pedagogia crítico-performativa, da Estética Relacional e de alguns pensadores contemporâneos - como Jacques Rancière, Tzvetan Todorov e Giorgio Agamben -, sobre o jogo entre o próprio (do singular) e o comum (do semelhante e/ou do plural) em processos formativos mediados por prática pedagógica performativa. O trabalho se apresenta, assim, como sendo de caráter ensaístico, efetuando-se por meio da exploração de materiais eminentemente bibliográficos.ABSTRACT: This text is a brief reflection on processes of interaction between teachers and students in the context of a critical-performative pedagogical practice. The research aims to analyze the elements that constitute one of the founding yearnings of the educational practice: the establishment of a common life in a world ruled by the own. In other words, the study seeks to reflect on from the assumptions of critical-performative pedagogy, Relational Aesthetics and some contemporary thinkers - such as Jacques Rancière, Tzvetan Todorov and Giorgio Agamben - the game between the own (singular) and the common (the similar and/or plural) in the formative processes mediated by performative pedagogical practice. The study is presented, thus, as of essayistic character, being developed through the exploitation of eminently bibliographic materials.
       
  • The challenges of diversity in the classroom: a study on narrative
           performances of immigrant children

    • Abstract: RESUMO: Este artigo procura refletir sobre performances narrativas produzidas por crianças imigrantes em um contexto escolar marcado por intensa diversidade cultural. A análise foi fundamentada nos dados obtidos por meio da pesquisa etnográfico-propositiva intitulada Pequenos Narradores, realizada entre os anos de 2014 e 2015, em duas escolas públicas de ensino fundamental de Paris, França, nas chamadas CLIN - classes de iniciação do francês para crianças não francófonas. Como estratégia metodológica, foram realizadas diversas atividades lúdicas no sentido de favorecer a produção narrativa na sala de aula. A agência das crianças na escolha do que e como contar foi analisada sob a perspectiva dos estudos da performance. Constatou-se que, nesse contexto, as performances narrativas constituem um elemento importante não apenas na tradução e organização das experiências dessas crianças imigrantes, mas, sobretudo, na criação e transformação dessas experiências diante da realidade de vida no novo país.ABSTRACT: This article intends to reflect on narrative performances produced by immigrant children in a school environment marked by intense cultural diversity. The analysis is grounded on data obtained through the ethnographic-propositional research entitled “Little Storytellers” held between 2014 and 2015 in two public elementary schools in Paris, France, in the CLIN (a special class to France newcomers). As methodology, several ludic activities were conducted to promote narrative production in the classroom. The agency of children in choosing what and how to tell was analyzed from the perspective of performance studies. We found that, in this context, narrative performances are an important part not only in the translation and organization of the experiences of these immigrant children, but especially in the creation and transformation of these experiences in the new country.
       
  • War of apples and its developments: the school as a performative landscape

    • Abstract: RESUMO: O artigo lança semeadura para macieiras - imagem de reparação para uma guerra de maçãs ocorrida em uma escola pública brasileira, episódio disparador do texto, cuja referência central é a performatividade cotidiana e extracotidiana na educação e suas possibilidades hermenêuticas: leitura de si, do outro e do mundo compartilhado. A aposta feita é de ocupação dos espaços escolares como espaço convivial dos seres viventes: locais de pertença e de vitalidade, bem como fórum de conversas sobre múltiplos assuntos, incluindo a doença, a violência e a morte.ABSTRACT: The article scatters seeding for apple trees, an image that refers to a war of apples that took place in a Brazilian public school. This episode is the trigger for the text, whose central reference is the daily and non-daily performativity in education and its hermeneutic possibilities: reading of one’s self, of the other, and of the shared world. The text argues for the occupation of school spaces as the convivial space of living creatures: sites of belonging and vitality, as well as a forum for talks on multiple issues, including disease, violence, and death.
       
  • What is school performance able to do'

    • Abstract: RESUMO: O texto apresenta três pesquisas de mestrado que tratam da inserção da arte contemporânea como área de conhecimento nos projetos pedagógicos de escolas do ensino básico. Tais estudos relatam a aplicabilidade pedagógica desses processos arte-educativos com crianças, jovens ou adultos no ensino formal. O resultado apresentado aborda os impactos na formação ética e política dos estudantes participantes de tais processos, bem como problematiza as noções de arte contemporânea na escola, de aula de artes e de atuação do professor de artes.ABSTRACT: The text presents three master’s studies that deal with the insertion of contemporary art as an area of knowledge in the pedagogical projects of basic education schools. These studies report the pedagogical applicability of these art-education processes with children, adolescents and adults in formal education. The presented result deals with the impact on ethics and political shaping of the students who participated in such processes, as well as problematizes the notions of contemporary art at schools, Arts class and the performance of Arts teachers.
       
  • Games, performances and performativities at school: from the body
           experiences to the questioning of speeches

    • Abstract: RESUMO: Analisando narrativas sobre experiências corporais de professores e estudantes da Educação Básica, discute-se no artigo os jogos, performances e performatividades emergentes nesse contexto. Jogo, performance e performatividade são vistos como modulações de corporalidade que redimensionam nossa experiência no mundo e possibilitam outras abordagens na análise do cotidiano escolar. O texto se propõe a problematizar categorias recorrentes na análise da escola, sublinhando as possibilidades de reordenamento, suspensão, subversão de papéis e discursos nesse campo de estudo.ABSTRACT: Analyzing narratives on the corporal experiences of teachers and students in Basic Education, this study draws a discussion of the games, performances and emerging performativities in this context. Game, performance and performativity are seen as corporeality modulations which resize our experience in the world and allow other approaches in the analysis of daily school life. The text intends to problematize recurrent categories in analysis about school, highlighting the possibilities of reordering, suspension, role subversion and speeches in this field of study.

    • Abstract: RESUMEN: En este artículo se propone discutir y articular distintos marcos conceptuales de referencia que presentan un gran potencial para contribuir a la comprensión de las performances por medio de las cuales se construyen sujetos generizados dentro del espacio escolar, partiendo de que estos procesos tempranos de subjetivación ocurren por medio de interacciones y de experiencias cotidianas establecidas en el contexto escolar, que ponen en circulación determinadas configuraciones de género y tienden a que estás sean internalizadas e incorporadas. Los marcos conceptuales de referencia cuya articulación se propone son la antropología de la performance, el análisis de la performatividad de género, los marcos conceptuales de la socio-antropología del cuerpo y la perspectiva del denominado “giro afectivo”.ABSTRACT: This article aims to discuss and articulate different conceptual frameworks that have great potential to contribute to the understanding of the performances through which gendered subjects are constructed within the school environment. We assume that these early processes of subjectivization occur through interactions and experiences established in the school context, which put into circulation certain configurations of gender, which tend to be internalized and incorporated. The conceptual frameworks whose articulation is proposed here are the anthropology of performance, the analysis of gender performativity, the socio- anthropology of the body and the so-called “affective turn”.
