  • 13. The Amount of Melanomacrophage centres (MMC) in Liver and Kidneys of
           Tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus) Maintained in Various Population Density

      Abstract: The aim of this research was to find out the amount of melanomacrophage centres (MMC) in liver and kidney of nile tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus) fish reared in high dense population. Fifty nile tilapia were grouped in four treatment groups, group I contain 5 fish, group II contain 10 fish, group III contain 15 fish and group IV contain 20 fish. Treatment was carried out for 24 hours. Fish was necropsied to collect the liver and kidney, fixed in NBF 10% then proceed to histopathological method using hematoxilin and eosin for staining. Histopathological observation was done microscopically, and MMC was captured by photomicrograph. The data were analyzed descriptively. The result showed that the average of MMC number in fish liver in group K1, K2, K3, and K4 were 9.6, 11.3, 12.6, and 13.2. While the average of MMC number in fish kidney were 5.5, 7.7, 8.5, and 9.2, respectively. The higher the dense of population the higher the amount of MMC found in liver and kidney of nile tilapia.

  • 14. Effect of Curry Leaf (Murraya koenigii) Extract to Early Spoilage of
           Beef

      Abstract: This study aimed to determine early spoilage of beef after addition of curry leaf extract. The sample used is beef Semimembranosus muscle which is divided into 42 parts each weight is 5 grams. This research used experimental method which consists of three treatments with two repetitions. P1 group is without curry leaf extract (control), group P2 with curry leaf extract 25% used and group P3 with curry leaf extract 50%. The entire sample is stored in a refrigerator at 4 ° C. For 7 days early spoilage test is conducted every day at 9am and 4pm. The result showed difference early spoilage time between each treatment. In P1 positive result of early spoilage time is on the 4th day and P2 positive result of early spoilage time is on the 5th day. While in P3 has not obtained positive result of early spoilage time at 7 days storage. Based on the results of this study we concluded that curry leaf extract can slow down the early spoilage time of beef

      Abstract: The research aimed to isolate Pseudomonas sp from fail to hatch quail eggs in Garot village, Darul Imarah subdistrict, Aceh Besar. Thirty failed to hatch quail eggs were examined in microbiology laboratory of Veternery Medical, Faculty Syiah Kuala University. Modification of examined Carter method was used in this research. The result of this research showed 12 of 30 samples examine we were positive infected by pseudomonas sp. It can concluded that bacteria Pseudomonas sp is one of the causes of failure hatching quail eggs in Garot village, Darul Imarah subdistrict, Aceh Besar

  • 16. The Number Of Leukocyte And Leukocyte Differential In Broilers That
           Infected With Eimeria tenella And Given Neem Leaf Extract And Jaloh
           Extract

      Abstract: The aim of this research was to determine the effect of giving neem leaf extract combined with jaloh towards the total of leukocytes and differential leukocyte in broilers that was infected with Eimeria tenella. This research samples were 20 Cobb stain broilers 14 days old. Design the research was complete randomized design with five treatments and each treatment consists of four repetitions. First treatment (P1) as negative control which was only given mineral water; second treatment (P2) as positive control was is given 5 mg/L anti-stress commercial in drinking water; Third treatment (P3) was given 1000 mg/L Jaloh extract; Fourth treatment (P4)was given 250mg/L neem extract; and fifth treatment (P5)was given 1000mg/L jaloh extract combined with 250mg/L neem extract. Anti-stress commercial and extract treatment dissolved in drinking water. The treatment start from 08.00 until 18.00 for ten days. Next in the 11th day (chicken 25 days old)was inoculated Eimeria tanella sporulatif as much as 1 x 104 ookista/ml orally. Then the blood was taken sampling when the chicken 30 days old (five days after infected). Blood sampling was done in the brachial vein. Furthermore, the number of leukocytes and differential leukocyte.Was calculated data were analyzed using complete randomized design with the help of SPSS for Windows 1.8 program. The result of this research showed that giving jaloh and neem leaf extract were not giving significant effect (P>0,05) towards the number of leukocyte as well as differential leukocyte of broilers that was infected with Eimeria tenella. The conclusion of this research were giving jaloh leaf extract and neem for 10 days was not giving significant effect towards number of leukocytes and differential leukocyte broilers that infected with Eimeria tenella

           Symptoms of Lust with the Success of Artificial Insemination on Cattle
           Farmer at the Lengayang subdistrict, Pesisir Selatan district, West
           Sumatera

      Abstract: This study aimed to find out the understanding of cattle farmer in Lengayang, Pesisir Selatan West Sumatera about the relation of sexual desire symptom with the success rate of artificial insemination on cattle. The respondents of this study were the cattle farmer on Lengayang base on the result of the method of this study was field survey. The data were collected interview the farmer using structural questioner form. The data consist of secondary and primary data. The secondary data were obtained from Animal Husbandry departement and Animal Health on Pesisir Selatan. Data were analyzed descriptively. Result showed that from 100 respondents there were 15 respondents from Lakitan village, 16 respondent from East Lakitan, 14 respondents from East Kambang, 35 respondents from West Kambang, 9 respondents from Kambang and 11 respondents from North Kambang. Based on the study result the level of  farmers knowledge about understanding relation sexual desire the symptoms with the success of artificial insemination in cattle is 2% excellent, 33% good, 56% fairly good and 9%. Less Good. Based on Regression test formal education, non-formal education and experience effect of to the knowledge of the success of artificial insemination 6.6%

  • 18. Prevalence and factors the transmission of disease Transmissible
           Venereal Tumor (TVT) on dog hunter in Payakumbuh

      Abstract: Tumor (TVT) aim of this study was to find out the prevalence and the factors were of Transmissible Venereal disease transmission on Dog Hunter in Payakumbuh. The study was conducted using a cross-sectional observational study (cross-sectional). Data collected through interviews by using questionnaires and observations of the condition of the Dog Hunter. The owners of hunter dogs were selected by purposive sampling. The obtained data were analyzed descriptively. Interviews were conducted with 110 people hunting dog owners with the total number of hunting dogs were observed as many as 300 individuals. The results showed that the prevalence rate of the Transmissible Venereal Tumor (TVT) disease on Dog Hunter in Payakumbuh is 1,33%. Factors the disease emergence were the mating habits of the dog were uncontrolled, the high levels of dogs sexual activity that was free to roam, the habitual of  sniffing and licking genitals of infected dogs TVT, and also does not apply the principles of biosecurity property.

  • 19. Identification of Ectoparasites in the Mud Crab (Scylla serrata) from
           Alue Naga Coastal Waters Banda Aceh

      Abstract: This study aimsed  to determine the type of ectoparasites on crab (Scylla serrata) in the water of Alue Naga Banda Aceh.  The samples of this study were 10 heads of mud crabs were taken from the Alue Naga waters Banda Aceh and taken to the Laboratory of Parasitology. Veterinary Medicine Faculty of Syiah Kuala University Banda Aceh to identify the take ectoparasites on mud crab (Scylla serrata) by observing the outer body of the organism, then noted bleeding, wounds or swelling and pay attention to the type of organism that is attached to the body of mud crab, then dredge the outer parts of the body like the carapace, foot path, foot pool and gills were take it and then tweezers and then putting the object glass that has been provided and observed with a microscope with 100 times magnification and see what kind of ectoparasites that have been found and then compare with the identification key. From the results of this study concluded that ectoparasites which infects mud crab (Scylla serrata) in the waters of Alue Naga Banda Aceh come  from genus Chilodonella sp. Whichare predilections in the gills with a prevalence rate of 10%.
